MARLA "MARS" MCQUEEN had a keen eye for photography.

Which is one of the reasons why she signed up to work on the school's newspaper, the Riverdale Blue & Gold, as their head photographer. She was permitted to use her Minolta, as that was her camera of choice. It would take a while to get the photos developed, yes, but she knew a guy at the local drugstore who would develop her photos within the hour.

     So when her photos for school came out so nicely, the newspaper staff knew they had made the right choice.

Marla took care of the hassle that was downloading the digital copies, uploading them to the document, and placing them so that they looked all nice and pretty.

"What do you mean by 'no'?" Marla overheard Jughead whisper to Betty one day. "She's a great photographer and what we need to help scope out this entire fiasco. She won't get caught so she'll be able to get some good evidence."

"I'm saying 'no' because Marla's a really sweet girl and she doesn't need to be caught up in all of this. She had nothing to do with it and she will have nothing to do with it," Betty whispered back. "I'm putting my foot down, Jug. I'm doing this for her and your own good."

This overheard conversation is just what Marla needed to start her own investigation on what was going on in this town.

Riverdale was oddly quiet this go round and it was about time Marla found out why.
