Personality:
Valk is a girl of few words, due to her shy and timid nature. She prefers to stay to herself, as it helps to counteract her awkward tendencies, and minimize any embarrassment. When she does become embarrassed, which isn't exactly a hard feat to accomplish, she can be seen sporting a pinkish tint across her nose, to a red hue enveloping her features, depending on the action. While her meekness can be endearing and innocent, It's obviously quite debilitating at times...Speaking in front of a crowd? You can pretty much forget it. Meeting new people? It's an incredible task. Talking to men? That can get strange. She's had her fair share of crushes, but nothing that's come to fruition. She's more of the type to admire from afar.

Despite her shyness, Valkyrie is quite loving...She can find happiness in little things, and loves to nurture those that she cares about. Doing for others gives her some purpose, and it's her way if connecting with others. That's the way she was shown love, anyway. Though that trusting and naiive quality can get her into trouble. She can quickly be persuaded by those with less than good intention, if the person were to put it in the right way. And more often than not, she ends up agreeing with those who criticize her, even if it's in an attempt to simply put the disagreement to rest. She cares a lot about pleasing others, sometimes too much, and will worry about how others view her.

Remember that innocence mentioned above? Well, this girl has never been in trouble, not had a lick of alcohol or the like, and has onlybeen with one man, a high school sweetheart at that. She'd avoid deviating from the norm or the parameters of the rules at all costs. She wants to be a good girl...prove her worth to someone down the road, and have a good and meaningful life, showing caring and kindness wherever she can along the way.

Valkyrie does partake in some negative self talk, she can get herself into a slump of depression, especially after her boyfriend's passing. She's not foreign to certain ideals, just may not partake in them. She's extremely straight and narrow and stepping outside of her comfort zone gives her massive anxiety, which can sometimes prove to be debilitating.

Backstory:

Valkyrie's life started out pretty mundane and vanilla ; a white picket fence with a mother - father household, two brothers, and a sister. The perfect little family, her mother and father were both psychologists in differing fields and always handled their children with the utmost mental health in mind. The sort of family that you have to wonder, if they're hiding a deep dark secret...because they always seem to smile and never a hair is out of place. Actually, unbeknownst to her parents who just wanted to do right by her, her very socially anxious nature is probably due to their level of sheltering. Strict curfews, the absence of dating the insistence that they would partake in a family game night every Thursday. She became withdrawn and uncomfortable with the outside world, living her life to please her family and live up to their expectations, but she always felt loved...

When Valkyrie reached the age of 18, she's just gotten her first /real/ boyfriend out of senior year... And it came at a decent time, too, because she'd totally fallen for a guy about her age, Jack, who was just out of high school and headed to the police academy. A straight and narrow guy who her family approved of. A rookie cop who was well intended and loved her. Valk's life came crashing down, when she'd gotten word that her beloved had been murdered in the line of duty. And to this day, whom his assailant had been, was never caught. Only leading to her further distress, introversion, depression...and her demeanor took the tole on her family just the same, who never seemed to shape up.

To current day, Valk works as an assistant to AUTUMN BARRETT, editor in chief for "the scoop" magazine, which is pretty much the perfect job for her, considering she isn't one to say no, and isn't one to displease if she can help it...even if it means pulling herself in a million different directions and looking pretty silly at times. She has a dream of someday being an investigative journalist for "THE SCOOP", as a wallflower and an avid book reader it seemed to be her niche to stay undercover in the right circumstance.

Her brother, Tommy, is pretty famous for his youtube channel which Valk is supportive of and proud of him for. Since her other brother, Leo, has been stationed around California as of recent himself, she definitely has taken on a caring role for the two as is within her nature, wanting to make sure they are taken care of, eating healthy, and sleeping well of course!

In high school she enjoyed working for the school paper ; nonfictional writing has always been a passion of hers and when she applied for the job at the scoop she was only half hopeful she'd get it. She had no idea...exactly of what it would entail.
