We all walked back inside the house talking and laughing about a joke josh cracked. Josh plopped himself on the couch and Tyler say in the arm rest, I just stood there awkwardly. I looked at the time on my phone and it was only 12 in the afternoon.

" hey guys i think I'm going to head home now.."

"Aww why?" Josh whined.

"I have things I need to get done... Thanks for having me over. " I grabbed my back pack and stepped out the door closing it behind me. I started to head home when the door opening and closing made me stop.

"Jamie wait!" Tyler called out from behind me. I turned around and furrowed my eyebrows at him in question.

"Why did you leave josh?"

"Cause he wanted to take a nap."

"Sure." I pursed my lips together.

We walk together in silence over to my house,when we got to the door I looked in my backpack and fumbled around looking for my keys.

After finding them I unlocked the door and threw my back pack where ever it landed.

I went up the steps and mindlessly went to my room. Tyler followed behind and shut the door. I laid on my belly on top of my neatly made covers and had my control for the Xbox in hand.

Tyler sat next to me with his hands holding the other. He just stared at the screen watching what I was doing.
I turned on some music and flopped over letting the remote fall to the floor.

My playlist went through automatically and tyler and I just talked. After about 20 minutes he got comfortable and ended up laying his head on my stomach. Without thinking twice my hand went for his hair and started running my fingers through it.

"What's your middle name?" I looked at Tyler who's eyes were closed but raised his eyebrows waiting for my answer.

"Lynn."

"Jamie lynn carter. I like it."

"At least one of us do."

"You don't like your name?"

"Middle yes first no."

"If you could change it what would it be?"

"Amie lynn probably."

"So you would take the j off."

"Yeah just because its easy and cute and no one in my family is named that."

"Ah ok.. So amie, what's your favorite color?"

"I'd say grey."

"Why?"

"Because when I'm around someone who makes me feel comfortable and happy my eyes turn grey.." Tyler then quickly got up and got in my face.

He has a look on his face as if searching for something. After a second he smiled. Furrowing my brows again his eyes glanced down and then back up.

"Why did you smile?"

"Am not alowed to?" He laughed.

"You are I'm just curious.."

"Your eyes are grey.." He blushed.

My heart fluttered. He does make me comfortable and happy him and josh. they were the only people who were nice to me this year.

"Do I really make you happy and comfortable?"

"Well..yeah.. I mean you are the first person to take a second look at me and be nice this year after Jessie and I broke up. His friends were dirt bags to me and only nice when he was around."

"Well they are assholes not going to lie. But you're amazing. Who wouldnt like you?" My heart froze.

"I never said that. I just said take a second look.."

"That's what it basically is unless you didn't mean it that way.." I shook my head. Tyler rubbed the back of his  neck embarrassed slightly.

"I know you and Jessie were friends and then we started hanging out and now you two are fighting.." I changed the subject so it was awkward silence.

"Because he's a dick."

"Is it just that or did I ruin your friendship.." Tyler looked at me and shook his head.

" mine and jessie's friendship was long gone before we started talking.. it got worse when we got closer and he found out but i knew how he was and i didnt want to deal with it anymore."

"oh.." i rubbed my left arm with my right hand not making eye contact.

"anyways.."

"i want fries." i blurted out immediately regretting it. 

"then lets go." tyler jumped up.

"no."

"why not?" he had a puzzled look on his face.

"cause i regret saying that i didnt want you knowing.."

"its not a bad thing to feel hungry or want food amie.. you might think so but i dont care how much you eat unless its not enough. you want something ill get it for you just tell me."

"i dont like people getting me things or knowing i feel guilty."

'why?"

"its what ive always been told, never take something from someone you love unless you buy it and that my weight is a problem so dont eat much."

"well whoever told you that is wrong. some times people who love you we want to treat you to something or spoil you and your weight isnt a problem until its to the brink of death."

a tear rolled down my cheek. tyler walked over and cupped my cheek, with his thumb he wiped the tear. he kept looking at my eyes and glancing down  to what im guessing was my lips i began to blush.

i started to remember what happened halloween night when he held my pinky finger with his. a smile crept onto my face and my hand rested on his hand that was still on my face.

"why are you smiling?" i opened my eyes and looked up at him.

"what am i not allowed to smile?" i mimicked him from earlier.

"haha you are im just curious." his smile was so damn cute i just wanted to be in his arms forever and feel his warmth.

"just remembering things." he smiled and shook his head. i had this sudden urge to kiss him but i was hesitant and didnt do it. im not the person the make the first move plus i dont think he likes me like that...

"want to go get your fries?" i nodded and we went down the stairs and out the house. we ended up walking to mcdonald's.
