Chapter-3

I approached my front door. I was weary from the incident at school, and not looking forward to a lecture from my parents. As I got closer, I saw a boy at the door. I soon realised-relieved-that it was Alexander. He had his usual bomber jacket on and was carrying his motorcycle helmet. I smiled as I reached him. He turned around as he saw me, and smirked.

"Alex!" I pulled him in for a hug, but he just placed an arm around my shoulder instead.
"Babe I missed you so much, it's been like, a month,"he turned my shoulders and I looked up into his eyes.
"You have bags under your eyes b, are you ok?"he stroked my cheek.  I nodded before leaning in, and pressed my lips against his. He moaned a little as I ran my fingers through his hair. We were getting loud and passionate- at the height of enjoyment, when the door opened. My mother saw the scene and pulled us roughly apart. I squealed as she dragged me into the couch before going back to a shocked Alexander. With teeth gritted and jaw clenched, she said "If you dare try to even make eye contact with my daughter again, there'll be trouble mister. Bad. Influence." She poked him in the chest with every word. He blew a kiss to me before scurrying off- looking a little flustered.

After the door shut I lost it.
"What the hell mom?"
"You aren't to see him again, I bet he was the reason you came in drunk the other night."
"He actually wasn't with me, he was at a family dinner."
"Don't lie to me, you've been lying a lot recently."
"You don't know him,"My face was hot and tears threatened to escape my eyes.
"Quite right, which is why I don't trust him."
"Ok then,"I didn't want to engage in further argument-especially since I felt awful.  I weakly looked up at my mother.
"Speaking of last night, where were you?"her voice had calmed but was still firm.
"I told you I was at Maya's house." I spoke quietly.
"And was that the truth?"
"No." She already knew I was lying so what was the point?
"So where were you?"
"Elliot Davies' party,"I struggled to say.
"Who else was there?"she was remaining calm, but I could see the anger burning behind her eyes.
"A few kids from school,"
"Were Maya, Lucas and Farkle there?" I nodded my head.
"Well you're definitely grounded. Go to your room." I silently went to my room and groaned as I flopped onto my bed- feeling a headache come on.

After a while, I heard my father come in to the apartment.  The floor boards creaked as he walked to approach my mother. I listened carefully, only to be interrupted by the sound of my door opening- to reveal Josh. I immediately shushed him and whisked him onto my bed.
"I have to listen." I told him and he nodded- lying back and looking at my ceiling in concentration. I heard the muffled yet comprehensible voices from the kitchen.
"She was at a party."
"What? Were there boys?"
"I assume so."
"She better not have-"
"I'm sure she didn't."
"Where is she?"
"Her room."
"But we told her no parties until she was seventeen, parties have older kids. Why would she sneak out?"
"She's been doing this for a while, I just had to wait until I caught her. I think, it's because of Auggie." There was silence. A tear fell down my face.
"Ever since he left." Then the sound of my mom walking to her room and I heard the television turn on.

I turned to Josh. My eyes had puffed up. He sat me up and took my hand.
"He's still alive and awake Riley." I needed to just suck up my feelings and get used to it. I stood up and went to my window- opened it and crawled out. Josh took the hint and followed me out.

A/n Hi, any suggestions for this story would be great, thanks for reading! :) also I know this is cliche and stuff, but it fits with the story.
