1 ~ Nightmares

"Mama!" I looked at the men holding my parents. I could see the black Fairy Tail emblem on one of the men's shoulder. "Papa!" The one who had a knife made it catch on bright red fire as he walked to me.

"Make sure no hears any screams!" His voice was deep and scratchy. The other man nodded and cast a spell making every sound from my house stay in it. "C'mere ya lil' bitch."

I shook my head and screamed in fear. "PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE! LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE!" My E/C eyes turned red an my H/C short hair turned F/C.

"What the hell?!" He stepped back dropping his fire knife. I grabbed the knife and touched the fire.

"FIRE RENEGADE!!" The fire ran up my arms and shot at the wizards who were holding my dead parents. They screamed as the flames burned them in specific spots. "Leave... I will know who you are. I will get revenge." They dropped my parents and ran out. "I will kill them!"

Cold sweat covered my body as I sat up gasping. "Just...a nightmare?" I looked around then got up. "I will kill those people..." The clock on my wall read 5:36. "Might as well head to the guild..." I sighed and changed I to my normal clothing which was a F/C tank-top and a pair of black jeans with grey converse. As I opened my door I gasped as the ice cold air pinned into my skin. I didn't decide to grab a jacket because I didn't need it. The cold air slowly became warmer as I lit my hand on fire. Vibrations bounced off stone walls and the concrete path from my humming. Clicks from the bottom of my shoes hitting the pavement covered up my hums and the crackles from the flames. It didn't take me long to reach the doors to my guild Raven Tail. I've been a member since my parents died. They helped me learn to control my powers and use my magic properly. My best friend was obviously Flare. I mean she had a similar backstory and she's actually really sweet once you get to know her. Slowly I opened the door to the guild I am a part of. No one was really there at the moment because it was early but I always liked getting where I wanted to go early.

"F/N?" A sweet voice called out to me. Instantly I knew it was Flare. I turned my head to see her at the job board looking at me. "What are you doing here so early?" She cocked her head to the side slightly. This caused her braids to move off from being directly on her back.

I smiled and hugged Flare. "I had the nightmare again so I just came here. Why are you here early?"

"I couldn't sleep..." She hugged me back. "The Grand Magic Games are soon. Do you think those bastards will be there?" Flare asked furrowing her eyebrows in concern. I nodded and Flare pulled away from the hug. "I wonder who will win. Probably Saber again, huh?"

"Definitely. I don't have a doubt in my mind!" Flare nodded and giggled slightly. I chuckled at this too. Flare and I were really the best of friends. Tighter than two coats of paint. We never truly hid anything from each other. We knew everything about one another, I mean why would we hide anything? She knows who I want to kill and she says she'll help me. We trust each other with our lives. We're pretty much siblings.

Flare smiled and grabbed my hand. "Let's kick some Fairy butt!" I smiled an we ran to go train. I was helping her with her fire of course. It needed to be more impermeable and it needed to not freeze easily. Plus wind, her flames can't be blown out. It'd make her lose! We walked outside chatting when I bumped into a person, falling to the ground. "F/N!"

"I'm fine, I'm fine!" I said rubbing my head slightly.

"Oh I'm sorry!" I looked up to see a male with pink hair and onyx eyes. He had a scale-like scarf and only a vest with some pants and what seemed like a skirt over it on. "I wasn't looking."

I shook my head. "It's fi-" My gaze shifted towards his shoulder. A red Fairy Tail mark was there. My soft and embarrassed expression became filled with rage and hatred. "What's your name..?"

"Natsu. Natsu Dragneel!" My eyes widened and I immediately stood up. "You?"

"F/N." I looked at Natsu. "Do you have any siblings?!"

"No. Why?" I growled and scrunched my hair in my hand.

"That's the last name of one of the people that killed my parents... They were a part of Fairy Tail..." Natsu's eyes widened and he suddenly pulled me into a warm hug. "Wh-What the..?"

"I'm sorry that whoever did that, did that, but Fairy Tail is not a guild of murders. I promise you F/N, the Master kicked those people out for sure when Master found out about that." Tears formed in my E/C eyes. "Do you think we could be friends?" I hesitantly nodded and Natsu let me out of his death hug. "I'm Fairy Tail's Fire Dragon Slayer. It's nice to meet you both!"

"So that's why the hug was warm!!!" I smiled. "I'm Raven Tail's Elemental Emotions and that's Flare." She shyly waved. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Natsu." I looked at my watch. 8:17. "Sorry we gotta go. See ya Natsu!" Flare and I ran off.

"See ya!" The salmon haired boy yelled as we ran. As we ran farther he couldn't see us and we couldn't see him. Forgiving Fairy Tail was gonna be hard, but that boy made it a hell of a lot easier.
