Chapter 6: Old friends sometimes return

MIRA'S POV

The guild was unusually quiet. Well, it was obvious seeing as how Natsu and Gray were away. Whenever they're here they always cause a fight. And Master gets involved as well. I mean, he really needs to calm down. He's old for heaven's sake!

I turned my head to the opening guild door. Master jumped down from his seat at the bar and looked to see who was entering.

"A new visitor?" I asked. The person walked in, a hood over their head.

"Hello, I wish to speak with the guild master." they said in a somewhat accent. Like they're from somewhere else. You know? The voice sounded ancient. Oooo, mysterious.

"Yes, follow me." said Master, as he led the way to his office. Oh well, it's his business anyways. I resumed to polishing glassware.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Master was seated at his desk, as he motioned the stranger to take a seat opposite him.

"No thanks, I'm almost done with business." said the calm yet scary voice. The person removed their hood, and Makarov's eyes widened in shock.

"Y-You are......!" he exclaimed.

"Long time no see, Makarov." said the stranger. Master was too shocked to move, yet alone talk. He mustered enough strength to make out a few words.

"What do you want with my guild!" exclaimed Makarov suddenly, which was not very surprising to the figure.

"Me? I want it demolished. Destroyed. And I'll be using you." laughed the stranger, as they bent their head back. Their hair fell on their face.

"What did they do to you?!"

"Hmm? Oh they're just getting in the way of one of my plans, they're annoying. And so, the best choice is to chase the GUILD MASTER FIRST!!!!!"

The stranger immediately cast a spell, and Makarov was struggling to break free. He stopped moving and became still, staring blankly at the wall.

A knock came at the door.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but we heard some loud noises!" exclaimed Mira, as she stepped in. Makarov turned to her.

"Sorry about that." he said.

"I'll be taking my leave now." said the stranger, pulling the hood over their head and walking out. Mira watched them leave, suspicious of them.

"Master, what happened?" asked Mira.

"Nothing too important." said Makarov, as he faced away from her, an evident smirk playing on his lips.

"Oi Mirajane! Have you seen Gramps?" asked Laxus, as he sat down at one of the chair at the bar. Mirajane looked worriedly at him.

"He had a visitor earlier and when he left, your grandfather was acting weird. Maybe it was just me~" sighed Miira.

"I think so, the old guy never acts weird." reassured Laxus. Mira turned her head and saw non other than Makarov himself walking down the stairs.

"Hmmm,  why don't you look at him?" she asked. Laxus inspected his grandfather walking strangely, no, what caught his eye was the way the guild's master was watching the guild. Almost with revenge.

Laxus raised an eyebrow, watching his every move. Makarov glanced at the two, realizing that they were looking his way before turning around swiftly and walking back to his office.

"Hey Mira, what did this person want?" asked Laxus, understanding why the poor girl was scared now that the master was acting differently.

"I don't know. They came with a hood on, and when strange sounds came from Master's office, I became worried and went in. It was young girl, a very young girl. She put on her hood quickly so I couldn't really see her properly." explained Mira, worry evident in her voice.

"And when you went in Gramps was acting all weird?" asked Laxus to confirm himself.

"Precisely so. Laxus, I'm scared." said Mira, as looked at the guild. Laxus only sighed before scooting closer to her.

"Mira, don't worry." he said.

"But Erza and the others aren't here! What if something happens and-------"

"We can do this. We don't need them to protect the guild. That's why we were left back, so we could watch over." said Laxus. Mira's shoulders relaxed a little.

"But there's more to that, Laxus. We are strong and we can do it, but.....if our guild master is like that then they must be here! They can't be away! If something happens to Master, there's only the two of us and the guild!"

"Mira, if you don't relax right now I will flip your dress in front of the guild, okay??" threatened Laxus, as he sighed in annoyance. He went back at ease when the girl finally shut up.

"Sorry." she said sheepishly.

"It's okay, now we need to investigate that old man of ours. Why don't you go ask him if the team sent out is supposed to bring any information? Try to make conversation, meanwhile, i'll be examining her movements." said Laxus, getting up.

The elder Strauss sister did as she was told and knocked at the guild master's door. She went inside, and Laxus stayed close to the door. Using his enhanced dragon slayer hearing, he eavesdropped on the conversation, and Mira made sure to leave the door slightly ajar so that Laxus can see.

"Master, do you know the progress of Team Natsu.?"

"No. They have not sent anything yet." said the old man normally, and Laxus relaxed seeing as how Mira probably over reacted.

"Okay. Umm, regarding the strange sounds earlier, what happened?" asked Mira.

"Nothing. All he wanted was to send a request."

"What kind of request is it?" asked Mira. Laxus looked at Makarov. The old man looked thoughtful for awhile, before a strange aura surrounded him.

"It's an S-class job. Want to know details?"

"Yes, of course!"

Laxus felt uneasy. Makarov spoke again.

"It is something that I cam currently doing. And it is TO DESTROY FAIRY TAIL!!" exclaimed Makarov suddenly, raising his voice. Laxus immediately jumped in when the strange power went up to Mira and wrapped around her legs.

"Mira! Watch out!" exclaimed Laxus, as he stumbled in.

"No! Let go!" cried Mira, as she struggled to pull her foot away. Laxus took his foot and smashed the ground, causing a ruckus. This dazed the guild master, causing whatever it was that was holding Mira to loosen its grip.

Cana and the others immediately rushed in due to the loud noise.

"What's going on?!" she asked, quickly recovering from becoming drunk.

"Quick! Use your cards and call back Team Natsu, and make sure Sabertooth is with them! Hurry!" ordered Laxus, and Cana immediately went to work. Mira was pulled out of Makarov's pull by Laxus, and she was so shocked of his sudden behavior that she was shivering.

"Shhh, don't worry. The rest of the guild is with you." whispered Laxus. I looked back to see his grandfather realizing that Mira was released. The old man slowly walked forward, evil lurking in his eyes.

"Freed!" said Levy.

"I know!" said Freed. The two worked together and pulled Master out in the guild hall, and placed a rune around him. They worked hard, as they tried to suppress the geezer. All the other guild members saw that they were having a tough time and focused their power into the rune making it tougher.

Laxus looked at Mira who was slowly getting up.

"Hurry guys, this is looking bad."

LUCY'S POV

We were all in the village center, currently talking and stuff. The chief was with us too. I felt a sudden vibration in my pocket, and I jumped in terror.

"Ha? Blondie? What's gotten into you?" asked Sting.

"My skirt is vibrating!" I exclaimed. I saw a naughty smirk on his face and I didn't dare want to ask him what he was thinking of.

I quickly shoved my hand in the pocket and felt the vibrating object, before pulling it out.

"That's Cana's card!" said Erza. I looked at it and sure enough it was. But this one was for emergency!

"Hey, that one can do messages!" said Gray. A hologram appeared over the card and Cana's worried face appeared. This was a message, so we really couldn't contact her.

"Guys, hurry! Something bad is happening and Laxus has ordered for you to come back! He said to bring Sabertooth as well, and anyone else just hurry!" said Cana quickly before the message ended.

"Hey Chief! I think it's best if you come." I said.

"Me?" Why?"

"I have a feeling that you need to be there. Put your vice or whatever in charge." I said. Ayuza did just that, and all of us quickly packed up our belongings.

"We should hurry!!" exclaimed Natsu.

"Why the hell are we involved?!" complained Minerva.

"Shut up! " cursed Erza, as we ran to the nearest train station. Looks like someone is in a bad mood. Well, you really can't blame her because we were all worried about what happened.

We arrived in Magnolia, everyone became Usain Bolt for once as we speeded to the guild. It was a nice experience. I can see why Usain likes to be himself. I mean, running quickly is great because your hair flows everywhere.

Natsu kicked the guild doors open using his signature kick, that he almost greets everyone with. Shocked faces greeted us before relaxing.

"Lu-chan!" exclaimed Levy.

We saw Levy and Freed near a rune that was stopping something......or someone! Master!

"What are you guys doing?! Let go of him now!" exclaimed Erza.

"Since when did Fairy Tail rebel?" wondered Sting, surprised at how the guild members turned on their master. But then a thought flashed by him. He wondered if his members would do the same to him considering the fact that he is their guild master..........ha.

"Erza! Gray! Tell these hooligans to let me out! They just went crazy!" said Master. Everyone on our team looked convinced to me, but I didn't. Something was off here. I looked at Ayuza and he too, could feel it.

"Don't listen to him. He's lying, and Mira can tell!" said a strong voice, and we turned to see Laxus. He was at a bench siting down with Mira opposite him sitting silently.

"Mira....?" asked Gray.

"He's right. We called you here because Master started acting differently." she said. Everyone seemed to understand.

"And you decided to call Sabertooth?" asked Rufus.

"We alone are no match for our guild master, that's why we called back Team Natsu and told you guys to come along as well." said Laxus.

"I see." said Minerva. Mira explained the entire story, from the stranger leaving to when she was attacked. It was quite hard to believe that Master would attack one of the guild members, especially someone like Mira.

"Is this the chief of the village you helped?" asked Cana.

"Yes. Surprisingly, the item that we're looking for happens to be linked to him. We set out to find it at one of the hidden spots, but it wasn't there. This woman had it, aged and died leaving the item anywhere." I explained.

"What the girl says is right. But what are you going to do about your, umm.....Master?" he asked.

"We don't know. We called Poluchka over. She came earlier and was entirely shocked of his sudden behavior that she went out for air. Ah, speaking of her, there she is now!" said Macao, as Poluchka entered.

"Hmm? They're back already?" she asked. We all nodded our heads.

"Mira....was it? What did this female look like?" asked Ayuza.

"She pulled her hood over too quickly, but I believe that she is using Master to destroy this guild." said Mira.

"That's the same impression I'm getting. Chief, can you do anything? No matter what it is." said Poluchka.

"Let me see. I'll go closer to the old man." replied the chief, as he walked closer to the rune. It was safe seeing as how everyone's magic was channeled into the barrier protecting us all.

After a few moments of quick analyzing, the chief seemed to find what the problem was. And he didn't seem the least pleased with what he found.

"Well?"

"I know this spell.  It is something done only by people of my tribe."

Preview: Everyone is confused. The chief doesn't understand why any of is villagers want to harm the guild, but under further research, the spell is the old version. Who is only able to use this version? And who makes the appearance  that has everyone lost at sea?

Okay, so I did some research. Some people say her name is Poluchka, others say that it is Poryluschia or whatever. Grandeeney, (Wendy's dragon), met her Edolas counter part which is, in fact, Poluchka or Poryluschia. So I'm getting the impression that all dragon's have their counterparts over there, including Igneel and maybe Achnologia.

So i'll be using Poluchka. Okay?
