As Tony found a parking spot, Clay scanned the cars too see if a familiar car stuck out to him. "Looks like we beat you're girlfriend here." Tony said with a small chuckle as he scanned the parking lot as well. "Yeah. Let's go ahead in and get a table." Clay suggested as the two got out of Tony's red mustang. "Good idea." Tony said in agreement as the two best friends made their way into the small building, looking around for an empty table. Clay followed Tony, after Tony had spotted a free booth by the window.
After sitting in a comfortable silence for about 10 minutes, Clay smiled to himself as he saw Hannah's car pull ino the parking lot. He and Tony had already ordered their drinks when a waitress stopped by their table.
"Hey, sorry if I kept you guys waiting for a while." Hannah said as she walked over to the booth that Clay and Tony were seated at. "It's no problem." Tony replied with a warm smile. "Yeah, it's fine. We actually haven't been here that long anyway." Clay said. "Ok, what happened to you, Jensen?" Hannah asked as she sat down beside Clay, quickly taking notice of the seemingly bigger cut on his forehead. "What?" Clay asked in confusion. When Clay glanced towards Tony, he gestured to his own forehead, making Clay realize what Hannah was talking about. "Oh, um, most of it's probably just dried blood from earlier." Clay said. "Ok. Then what happened earlier?" Hannah pushed slightly, glancing between the two boys. "Well, let's just say I took him climbing to help clear his head, and he may or may not have gotten hit by a small-ish rock that was loose." Tony said sheepishly. "Small-ish?" Clay asked in a slight mocking tone with a small smile. "And that's why you didn't answer my call earlier?" Hannah asked to clarify. "That would be why." Clay told her with a small nod and a smile. "Well you need to stop getting hurt, Jensen." Hannah said as she lightly hit him in the arm, making Clay grab his arm where she had hit him. "And how do I do that when you're here hitting me?" Clay asked jokingly, making Hannah roll her eyes at him but still smile. "Well, I'd hate to interupt you two, but I believe we came here for the sole purpose of food." Tony interjected Hannah and Clay's teasing. "If you don't act like my grandpa again, then I will agree to get some food." Clay joked, smiling. "That was one time, and you were acting like a child anyway!" Tony fired back with a small smile. Hannah couldn't help but laugh as she heard Tony and Clay's slight argument. "Let's just agree to not act that way and just get some food. I'm starving." Tony said, patting his stomach at the last part. Clay lightly rolled his eyes at his friend. "Hey, don't you roll your eyes at me!" Tony exclaimed, pointing towards Clay accusingly. "Alright...Mom." Clay said, holding his hands up in surrender but smirking at the last word. Hannah giggled at Clay and got a smile from him in return. "I'm just gonna let that one slide." Tony said defeatedly as he rolled his eyes at the two.
"Thanks for the food, guys. This was a great idea." Hannah said after Clay and Tony got into a small argument over who - between the two boys - would pay. "It's really no problem at all. This was fun." Tony said in agreement. Clay nodded in agreement with Hannah and Tony. "Well, I'm sorry to have to head out like this, but I'm needed back at home." Tony apologized after checking his phone. "That's ok. Clay and I might actually go do soemthing." Hannah said suggestively as she glanced towards Clay. "Uh, yeah!" Clay said slightly nervous but still agreeing. "Ok. Well, you two have fun, and I'll see you at school on Monday?" Tony said. "Yeah, see you Monday." Clay said in reply as Tony got into his mustang and cranked the engine before leaving the diner and driving out of sight.
"So, what should we do now?" Clay asked as he turned to Hannah after watching Tony's car drive out of sight. "How about we go to my house and watch a movie or something?" Hannah suggested. "Yeah, ok." Clay said, agreeing to the suggestion. Hannah smiled at Clay, stepping closer to him. "And don't worry, Jensen. We can stay downstairs if it'll help." Hannah said, remembering what happened the very first time Clay was near their bathroom after what had happened. "Ok. That sounds good." Clay agreed, releasing the tension in his shoulders he didn't know was there. "Good." Hannah said with a small smile as she got even closer, wrapping her arms around Clay's waist. Responding almost immediately, Clay gently wrapped his arms around Hannah's shoulders, pulling her even closer to him than she already was. "So, movie?" Hannah asked with a smile as they broke away from the hug. "Movie." Clay agreed with a smile as they went over and got into Hannah's car, Hannah being in the driver's seat while Clay was in the passenger's seat. After cranking the car, Hannah glanced over at Clay with a ginuin smile before putting the car in drive and making her way back to her house.
