"just leave me alone"

right now i'm sitting on my couch watching tv, i wasn't really watching it though because i was in my head. yeah i did feel bad for bradley but i couldn't help it

i couldn't help what came out of my mouth. i couldn't help how i felt

a knock that came from my front door broke my thoughts

when i opened the door i saw bradley, he had some candy in his hand "hey" he gave me a sympathetic smile "can i come in"

i opened the door wider so he can come in. he set the candy down on my dinning room table then turned back to me

"phoenix told me everything"

i felt tears run down my face and he pulled into a hug,a tight one

"i'm so sorry" he whispered into my ear "cmon" he kept a tight grip on my have as we walked to the couch

when he sat down, i sat down by him, putting my legs on top of his and my head on his shoulder "i'm sorry too, for ignoring you"

bradley shook his head "don't be sorry about that, you were mad and sad" he paused "so what happened?"

"i don't know, i guess she just died" i stung to say that " but when the lady called me she said that my mom said that i should not do this mission"

"what?" he asked me confused

"she always tried to change my mind about being a fighter pilot, i mean she hated it" i sighed "but seriously that's the one thing you say before you die? that you want your daughter to quit doing what she loves"

"yeah that seems wrong, yeah" he put his arm over my shoulder "but she's looking out for you"

"well" i stood up from him and out my arms out "she doesn't need to anymore"

bradley looked at my arms "what are you doing?"

"it's like 9:30 and we have to wake up early tomorrow, so come on" he grabbed ahold of my arms and i pulled him up "i can't believe we find out if we're going to be apart of the mission"

we made our way up the stairs and and made our way to my room "im tired" he yawned and took his shirt off , he caught me staring "like what you see?"

i threw a pillow at him and we both laughed and gout in bed. i put my head on his chest "goodnight bradley" i kissed his bare chest

"goodnight sav" i felt him kiss my head

the next morning we all stood in a room, waiting for maverick to tell us who he wants to fly with

"it's been an honor flying with you" maverick started, looking at all of us "each on of you represents the best of the best, this is a very specific mission. my choices are a reflection of that and nothing eles"

the admiral stepped in "choose your two foxtrot teams"

"payback and fanboy" mav then looked at phoenix and bob "phoenix and bob"

i smile made it my face up

"choose you wingman"

maverick took a second to answer "rooster"

i looked at bradley with a big smile and he looked confused

"and choose your backup pilot"

maverick looked at me and gave me a smile "ace"

i looked at phoenix who gave me a smile and a thumbs up, i then looked at bradley and he was already looking at me with a smile

"the rest if you will stand by on the carrier for any reserve role that's required, dismissed" admiral bated dismissed us

i walked to bradley and gave him a hug "it's getting real" i mumbled into his chest, i leaned up and gave him a kiss

"yeah it is" he said softly, kissing me again "let's go show them who we are" i laughed at bradley but nodded

"hell yeah"
