The cool afternoon breeze ruffled Jungwoo's hair as he walked hand in hand with Doyoung. They were walking in the outdoor area of the hospital several floors up where patients could enjoy some fresh air.

Being Sunday afternoon, Jungwoo wasn't happy about having to go back to school tomorrow, especially without Doyoung again. So to cheer himself up he had decided to dedicate his entire Sunday to spending time with his boyfriend. At least until the visiting hours were over.

“Here's a nice spot.” He said to Doyoung, gently helping him to sit down on a cushioned bench sheltered under a large leafy plant. It as sunnier today than Saturday and he didn't want Doyoung to get sunburnt.

Still holding onto Jungwoo's hand, Doyoung rested their entwined hands in his lap and leaned his head against his shoulder.

“They said I will probably get discharged soon.” Doyoung said. “I'll be home and then I'll be ba-back at school.” His voice quivered as he spoke.

“It'll be okay. Those bastards won't be at school by the time you come back.” Jungwoo replied firmly.

Doyoung lifted his head to glance worriedly at his boyfriend.

“Jungwoo you promised.” Doyoung said slowly.

“And I'm keeping that promise Dongs. The cops are bound to arrest them soon for what they did. They have to.” He replied.

Doyoung nodded but looked a little scared and sighed as he looked down at their hands.

“The doctor has referred me to see a psychologist. She came by to see me yesterday before you visited and I have my first appointment with her here at the hospital tomorrow.” He explained.

“That's great news Dongs. What you went through was terrible so seeing her should help you.” Jungwoo responded.

Doyoung was the rock of their relationship; the calm, straight forward thinker, whereas Jungwoo had more of a fiery and passionate nature. They balanced each other out, which was probably partly why they had such a strong relationship.

Due to his nature, Doyoung always kept his emotions close to his chest - like a card player with an excellent poker face - for everyone except Jungwoo. He knew the assault had affected Doyoung, so seeing a psychologist and getting him talk about it would help him greatly in healing emotionally.

“She suggested it would benefit me if you came along to some of the sessions too, if you want?” Doyoung asked, looking up at him with hopeful eyes.

Jungwoo smiled and combed his fingers through Doyoung's hair. “Of course I'll come, that's not even a question.” He chuckled and placed a kiss on his cheek.

Doyoung smiled and returned the gesture with a soft kiss of his own on Jungwoo's lips.

As their lips were locked together, as high pitched voice spoke to them.

“Mister why are you kissing another boy?”

Jungwoo pulled back from their kiss and opened his eyes to find a small girl in a hospital gown staring curiously up at them. She had her head wrapped up in thick bandaging and one of her big round eyes was completely bloodshot. Despite this, she was still very cute and Jungwoo gave her a big smile.

“So who's the old man in our relationship then?” He asked Doyoung with a chuckle.

“You mister.” The little girl replied, pointing at him.

Doyoung laughed next to him.

“Me? But I'm not an old man!!” He responded with wide eyes, playing up his shock.

The little girl laughed excitedly and nodded. ”Why are you kissing that boy?” She asked again, now pointing to Doyoung.

“Because this my boyfriend and I love him very much.” Jungwoo responded.

“You do?” The girl asked curiously, swinging her arms around.

Jungwoo nodded. “So much that he's going to be my husband one day!”

The little girl's mouth made an O shape in surprise. Next to him, Doyoung chuckled warmly.

“I want a husbwand too!” The girl burst out.

“Do you really?” Jungwoo asked her.

She nodded eagerly and pointed at Doyoung again. “Husbwand!”

Jungwoo's heart swelled at how cute the girl was, wanting Doyoung to be her husband and she couldn't even pronounce the word properly.

“But he's going to be my husband?” He said.

The girl giggled and shook her head and Jungwoo pretended to pout, making her laugh more.

“What's your name?” Doyoung asked her.

Her cheeks flushed at Doyoung speaking directly to her but she answered confidently. “My name is Jinae. I like cake and fairies and Hello Kitty!”

Jungwoo and Doyoung shared a smile before Doyoung replied.

“I'm Doyoung. Jinae, it's very nice to meet you.” He said.

He held out his hand for her and she wrapped her tiny hand around three of his fingers. Her eyes were wide with awe as she stared up at him.

Jungwoo cooed at the sight. “I can't compete with her!” He pouted.

Doyoung flashed him an affectionate smile.

“Jinae? Ah, Jinae there you are!”

A young man in a nurse's uniform came running over to them and knelt down next to Jinae, out of breath.

“Jinae, you can't just wander off without me.” The man said gently.

Jinae let go of Doyoung's fingers and turned to the man, frowning at him.

“Who are you mister?” She asked.

The man sighed but kept a smile on his face. “I'm nurse Kim, remember? I've been looking after you while you're in the hospital.”

“Wha?” Jinae's frown deepened and she stared off into the distance as she tried to remember.

“Come, I'll take you back to your room.” Nurse Kim said, holding out his hand for her.

She shook her head and then looked at Jungwoo and Doyoung. Her eyes lit up and she grinned.

“Hi I'm Jinae! I like cake and fairies and Hello Kitty!” She said with a big smile.

Jungwoo's smile wavered. Jinae had just said that moments before.

“Up we go.” Nurse Kim said as he picked up the small girl. He propped the girl against his chest, one hand resting gently against the back of her bandaged head.

He looked at Jungwoo and Doyoung a gave them a tired smile.

“Sorry, Jinae has very bad memory loss at the moment. She forgets she done and said things after a few minutes. We’re hoping she makes a full recovery though.” He explained.

“What happened to her?” Doyoung asked, concern evident in his tone.

“Ah, I'd prefer not to say.” He responded quietly, rubbing the girl's small back.

He gave them a polite nod and then turned to leave.

“Why don't we go and play with Hello Kitty Jinae?” Jungwoo heard him suggest brightly as he walked away, to which the little girl in his arms squealed in delight.

“That's sad,” Doyoung said as he watched them walk back into the building. “I wonder what happened to her.”

Jungwoo wondered the same thing but he didn't want to dwell on such a sad topic. He turned to Doyoung.

“Do you want to go down to that little café on the second floor and see if they have some more of those cute cupcakes I got us a couple days ago?” He suggested.

Doyoung's smile grew and he nodded. “That sounds great.”
