Chapter 29

Third pov

Hogwarts was a magnificent structure, but it's tall towers and thick walls could do nothing more than protect them for a couple hours. Harry knew this was inevitable and there was no going back, he had destroyed him before and he would do it again if he had do. But his friends and family won't be hurt.

Percy Jackson however was still at the same window where he was fifteen minutes ago, he seemed to be in a deep thought. His arms crossed over his chest, a soft frown on his god like face and an erect posture. He would seem like a very serious person to the onlookers who did not know him.

Only he knew what was going on in his mind and the other gave up trying a long time ago to understand his brain. Annabeth had busied herself with various maps and papers for the battle. She was a leader in true nature and no one disagreed. The Wizards and demigods were very Powerful but the only thing of concern was the number. It was much less than what they had assumed to be. It was six thousand against approximately ten thousand death eaters, and who knows even monsters or NYX.

"You have to get him here Annabeth, he has to be a part of our planning. We cannot decide anything without him." Piper said, a few students huddled around them nodded in agreement.

"I don't think so Piper. I have known that guy since we were twelve and the one thing I have learned about him is that he never follow the battle strategy. He does his own thing." She replied. It did not reassure anyone, it only made them doubt their chances of winning.

"That's true. But we need to have a plan, he has the most ridiculous ideas but they almost always work." Jason piped in, he knew his cousin well and it showed with his confidence towards Percy.

"Can't argue, but they are always spontaneous Jason, never planned. I think we should let him be for now. If I trust him enough to let him into the battle ground without a plan then you should too." Annabeth said with a small smile. She knew what Percy was doing and she would not let anyone disrupt his plans.

Meanwhile Nico was tasked to IM Chiron and get the details about camp.

"I am quiet certain that we will win my boy, do not worry about us. Tell me do you need any kind of help?" Nico thought of Chiron's offer, there was not a thing he could find of need, they had everything provided here. Then he had an idea.

"Yes Chiron, we do need something from you, if you don't mind, we need a specific someone." The smirk on his face screamed trouble but he would go to extreme lengths to win this war.

*********

"They have not initiated anything yet, maybe they are waiting for us to attack first?" A random girl from Hufflepuff asked to no one in particular. The sky was darker than before, it looked like a canvas painted the darkest shade of black.

"No dear. They are not waiting for our attack, they are waiting for someone to go out there and negotiate." Thalia said not taking her eyes off the map Annabeth had drawn not long ago. It had the placements of demigods and Wizards at various places all around the castle.

"They why is not anyone going?" The same girl asked again.

"Because the person who is supposed to go is busy." She replied shortly.

"Oh "

Harry heard their short conversation and looked back at the window where Percy was still as a statue. One would think he was an actual statue if not for the constant movement of his chest while he breathed. He had enough now and he wanted to know what was going on with him.

Harry jogged all the way towards his friend and took a look at his face. The once jolly face looked aged, has sea green eyes looked like endless black holes ready to sick anyone in. His mouth was set in a slight frown. To sum it all, he looked the definition of danger.

Getting over his initial shock he noticed the chaos outside. Getting closer to the window he saw exactly why the enemy looked restless. The only clouds churned and poured water like sheets of blanket around them. Harry was confused. Why was Percy standing here and what was happening outside.

"Let him be Harry." Nico muttered from behind making Harry jump in surprise. Nico had a bored expression as if he could not be bothered from the bloody battle that was about to occur. He looked cool and collected, like always.

"But he is not okay, look at his eyes!" He exclaimed but followed Nico towards a vacant corridor. It was dark except for a few candles scattered around.

"He is perfectly fine Harry, Percy is smart enough to take care of himself. The horrible atmosphere that you saw was the reflection of his feelings."

Harry almost stumbled back in shock. He can't begin to imagine what was going on in Percy's mind. But he was determined to find out and help him as much as he could. After all Hogwarts is his home and he won't go down without a fight.

..............................

"I must admit I'm nervous of what is to come. They have been too calm since they surrounded us." A Ravenclaw girl muttered to a fellow student who nodded in agreement. Annabeth however, heard everything. She knew what was happening. They were waiting.

They were waiting for a perfect timing to attack, and for their master card. As far as the demigods knew NYX was not out there.

Percy had vacated his spot near the large window and made his way towards one of the big tables where Annabeth had hurried herself in stacks of paper. He sat beside her and placed his hand over her shoulder.

"Did you find out?" She asked still looking over the papers.

"11,342 to be exact. Including some of the well known monsters from Greek origin. Spotted a few familiar faces." He muttered raking his hand through his jet black hair. He looked utterly tired and frustrated. There were bags under his eyes and his clothes were wrinkled, he looked like a torture victim.

"Percy I think you should take a small nap, we will take care of everything. You need to be energetic to fight besides me." She said and nearly shoved him towards the front door. Percy chuckled and hugged her. Pecking her forehead he left the hall.

But as if the gods were playing with him, as soon as he exited the hall a loud bang was heard and a big mass landed merely inches in front of him.
