A/N: Hey! Sorry I havent updated. I was not feeling well. But here we goo! :P

Pattons P.O.V: 

I woke up in the middle of the night because of my rumbeling tummy. I put on my glasses and got up and silently made my way down into the common room. Maybe I could get some cookies without anyone noticing that some are gone? The embers in the fire place were just dying out so I had to squint to see in the dimly lit common room. AHA! There! I tip toed over to one of the cubbords and opened it. 

Bingo Bango! 

I reached up and grabed the jar of cookies off the shelf. I turned around to sit down in one of the chairs in the room when I almost droped the jar in suprize. Sitting in one of the chairs looking at me was Virgil. Gee. I hadn't even noticed him!

"Uh... Hey Virge..." I said as I sat down oppisite of him. "I didnt see you there kiddo. Didn't sleep well?" I asked as I took out a cookie. Virgil shook his head. "Nah. Wasn't tired." he said and shifted in his chair. I often found Virgil asleep down here in the mornings. I wondered why he couldn't sleep? I doubt he wasn't tired cause he had eye bags under his eyes and he looked about ready to pass out. "Virge, are you sure that's why you cant sleep? Did you have a nightmare?" I asked as I ate my cookie. Virgil waved away the question. "It's not important, Patton. I'm fine. I just need some extra coffee tomorrow. Ok?" he said. I wasnt totally convinced but I let it slide since I was pretty tired myself. Maybe I'd ask him in the morning. 

"If you say so Kiddo." I said and yawned. "But go to sleep. Please?" I said as I put the jar away. Virgil sighed and got up. "Ok. I'll go to bed." he said and we went up to our dorm. 

~Time skip to the next moring~      (T.W: Language)

Virgil and I were sitting at the Hufflepuff table eating breakfast. I was eatin som eggs and bacon and talking with the other Hufflepuffs while Virgil was sipping his coffee. I scanned the Great Hall and spotted Logan talking with some of the Ravenclaws. He turned his head and saw me and our eyes met for a split second before I quickly turned away. I didnt know why I had done it but it felt like the room had gotten hotter by three degrees! I hastily started up a conversation with the others.

After breakfast I took out our schedule out and Virgil looked at it. "Care of magical creatures...with Slytherin. Great." he said and rolled his eyes. Virgil, for some reason, didnt like Slytherin. I for one found them great! They were all so nice when we had classes with them. I rolled up the schedule and put it in my bag as we walked onto the castle grounds and down to where the class was held. 

As we arrived down at the Care of Magical Creatures class the Slytherins and most of the Hufflepuffs had allready gotten there. The class didnt start for a few minutes so everyone was talking.

Virgil and I stood by the old shack talking when Virgil got shoved into the wall by a boy from Slytherin. He was big and he had emerald green eyes. He was accomponied by another boy from Slytherin who had dark brown almost black eyes."HEY! What was that for!" I said as I helped Virgil up. "Ops! I didnt se him there! Yah know, he IS really short." the boy said with a slight sneer. Virgil got up. "It's fine Patton. He's just too fat to watch where he is going." Virgil said. The first boy grabed Virgil by his tie. "What did you call me!?" He yelled but Virge just scoweld back at him. 

"Settle down now Livor. No need for anyone to come to harm."

I turned to see a thin pale boy with yellow eyes and black hair dyed yellow on the tips walk towards us. He had a relaxed smile that said that he was either a genius or a madman. The boy let go of Virgil who backed up as he fixed his tie. The boy let go of Virgil with a growl and backed away. Virgil straightend and fixed his tie. "What do you want Deceit?" Virgil said.  

"Come now Virgil.. I was only trying to help! You know, like a friend." the boy who I think is Deceit said and smiled so his scar looked even scarier. "Yeah, whatever. Come on Patton. Let's go." Virgil said and grabed my hand. He draged me away from the boys and towards the group. 

"Who was that?" I asked when he let go. "No one important." Virgil said and closed the convorsation. I was about to ask for details when the teacer showed up. 

"Ok everyone! Gather around!" the teacher who we called Talyn said as they pushed a box in front of us. We all did what they said and I looked at the box. I wonder what's in it...

"Today I am gonna inrtoduse you guys to a new creature!" they said and lifted the lid off the box. "A clabberet!" they said proudly as a wierd monkey-frog looking thing jumped out of the box. It appered to be grinning and it looked kinda scary so everyone took a step back. I however found the creature kinda cute and took a step closer to get a better look.  "Can anyone tell me what we use its pustules for?" Talyn said. One of the Hufflepuffs raised his hand and said, "Potions?" 

Talyn nodded. "We use the clabberet's pustules in potions and to see when we are close to Muggles." they said.  "Now! Who wants to hold it first!?" Talyn said and claped their hands together. I quickly raised my hand. Talyn picked up the tiny creature who was trying to find a tree and put it in my hands. It was kinda slimy but I still held it. "Great work Patton! Five points to Hufflepuff for being brave. Most students dont even want to touch it!" Talyn said and I could see some of the Hufflepuffs (including Virgil) nodding in aproval. 

~Time skip to after the class~

Virgil and I walked up from class. Virgil was putting his notes in his bag and I was talking about what creature Talyn might show us. Maybe a Unicorn! But I couldnt help but wonder who those boys are and how Virgil seems to know them. "Uh.. Virge?" I asked.  Virgil looked up. "Yeah?" he said. "Who were those boys we met erlier? Do you know them?" I asked. Virgil sighed and straightend a little bit. "Yes. I know them. The biggest one is called Livor, the other one is called Cory and the third... he is called Deceit. His real name is Daniel but he dosent like people using that. He is kinda their leader." Virgil said. I thought about that for a moment. I think it was more too it then that but what do I know. 

"HURRY! THIS WAY!" someone shouted and ran past us. Virgil and I looked at eachother and ran after them. What's going on?
