Y/N's POV

In my opinion, beating your best friend at something is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. You just knew you were right and you now have eternal (not really) bragging rights.

And today, I have earned those bragging rights. And I am so happy! I am willing to bet five bucks that no one is happier than me.

Here is the situation, my friend Y/F/N won tickets to a Toronto Maple Leafs game, Toronto VS Montreal. Montreal is MY favourite team, while Toronto is HER favourite team. How we became best friends, I have no idea. But anyways, Montreal won 7-0, completely dominating the scene.

But there is still one problem.

I have to meet the Toronto Maple Leafs.

You see, when she won the tickets, she also won a meet and greet with the boys. I was fine with it, It would just be a little awkward for me. The Leafs were her team, and I have to respect that.

As we were walking to the dressing room, I decided to strike up a conversation with Y/F/N. I'm going to annoy her about losing, she hates it when I do that! But I know that she will be more excited to meet the boys.

"Hey Y/F/N"

"Hey Y/N"

"My team kicked your teams ass, you know that right."

"Shut up please!" She laughed.

"Are you excited to meet THE Toronto Maple Leafs that you ever so love to fantasize about?" I nudged her.

"I do not fantasize about them! I just love the hockey team in general." She tried defending herself.

"Sure, says the girl who has a 'Mrs. Nylander' t-shirt that she wears with pride."

"That just means that I am a dedicated fan."

"Yeah, whatever. Hey, we're here."

We both looked at the door, and I looked at her.

"You go in Y/F/N, I'll sit in this lovely chair." I said, sitting on the hard-ass plastic chair.

"You can come in if you want."

"Nah, I think it would be too awkward, plus I feel like that they would temporarily hate me." I laughed.

"Suit yourself," she replied, walking in.

I was gonna be here for a while.

Time Skip

It has been about ten minutes, and I was just playing on my phone, waiting for Y/F/N to come out. I was engrossed in The Gallys' Twitter argument, when someone said "Hello?"

I looked up, and I saw that it was Mitch Marner.

Mitch's POV

I walked out of the dressing room, and saw a beautiful girl sitting in the chair right next to our room. The only thing was that she was a Canadiens fan, and this was a restricted area, so I was confused on why she was here.

I walked up to her and said "Hello"

She looked up, and she had the most stunning Y/E/C eye's I have ever seen.

She replied "Hello, you're Mitch Marner, right."

I was surprised she knew my name, considering we are enemy teams.

"That's right. I was just wondering why you are here, you are a Montreal fan, and we are the Leafs."

"My friend Y/F/N is in there. She won the contest to meet you guys. I sat out here because I didn't want to make things awkward."

"You wouldn't have made things awkward, at least not for me. Everyone has their own team, and I think everyone should respect that."

"Thanks for that Mitch," she laughed. It was so cute!

"By the way, does she have a thing for Nylander? She was really close to him."

"OMG yes, she has the HUGEST crush on Nylander! I can now annoy her thanks to you!"

"Haha no problem! You know, Y/N, I get that we pull for different teams, but I was wondering if I could have your number? You seem like a really cool person, and I would like to get to know you better. Who knows, maybe I can get you to switch jerseys," I smiled.

She was considering it, then said, "I doubt that you can make me switch teams, but I would love to give you a shot," then handed me her phone. I grabbed mine happily, then we both switched, writing our numbers. I can't believe she actually gave me her number!

Once we were done, she said, "You have to keep me posted on the status of William and Y/F/N! I need to know of they grow into anything more. If they get serious, her 'Mrs Nylander' t-shirt could come true!" She giggled, then covered her mouth, realizing that she shouldn't have told me that.

I laughed at her, then replied, "I promise, and I won't tell Y/F/N about the shirt."

She breathed a sigh of relief, then hugged me saying, "Thank you, she would have murdered me knowing I told someone."

I chuckled, nuzzling my head into her neck.

I am slowly falling in love with the enemy, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I knew the first time we met, you would be kinda hard to forget.
