This is the interview of the beautiful nutellaxgirlx who is the winner of the Fantasy genre in the Candy Cane Awards! 

Zareen: First and foremost, Congratulations! How do you feel about being a winner in Candy Cane awards? 

Nerissa: I'm absolutely honoured that someone thought that 'Let Me Find You' was deserving of this award, and I'm really thankful that I was given a chance for this!

Zareen: You're welcome! So tell us something about your book. 

Nerissa: So, 'Let Me Find You' is a Fantasy-Romance, and the main characters/protagonists are Auralyn, a Summer princess, and Aston, a Winter prince. 

Zareen: When and how did you start writing? 

Nerissa: I started to have an interest in writing when I was about 10! My friends were into it at first, and I just realised that I loved to write. There's just something so magical about being able to put emotions and thoughts into words, you know? 

Zareen: I know right, your words are so true. So, do you want to be a professional author? 

Nerissa: Definitely! If I ever get the chance for one of my books to be published, that would be a dream come true!

Zareen: Are you writing under a penname? (If you don't want to reveal your real name, it's fine!)

Nerissa: Yes, actually! I recently found a pen name I quite liked, which is: Nerissa Storm.

Zareen: Who are your favorite authors? (Both in and out of Wattpad.) 

Nerissa: Favourite authors? Definitely Sarah J. Maas (I've been a huge fan of hers for a LONG time) and Elise Kova (I just discovered her works and I must say they are absolutely gorgeous)! My favourite authors on Wattpad, though, are The_Book_Smuggler07 (she's working on a masterpiece at the moment!), _joviitq_ (her writing is absolutely amazing as well!), spelunkadunk (ever since I read 'The Claimed: A Clash of Copper and Gold', I was hooked!), and there are many others as well! Honestly, this list could go on forever.

Zareen: Did they inspire you? If no, then where do you get your inspiration from?

Nerissa: They definitely inspired me with their work! But I also get my inspiration from traveling, or just having fun with friends and family.

Zareen: What do you think is the best thing about Wattpad? Did it help shape your writing or potential? 

Nerissa: I definitely think the best thing about Wattpad is being able to share your writing, and meet new friends! I've made so many friends on Wattpad that I can't even think about how my life would be without them, and without being able to share 'Let Me Find You', I don't think I would have become the person I am today.

Zareen: Aww, thats so sweet! Tell us what is the one thing you look for when buying/about to read a book? 

Nerissa: Definitely the cover, title, blurb and genre! I'm a huge fan of Fantasy, Romance and definitely a mix of both, so anything in those genres would spark my interest! But it really does depend if the cover and title draw you to the book, and whether or not the blurb is intriguing enough.

Zareen: Is there a particular genre you love to read/write? 

Nerissa: Fantasy! Definitely Fantasy! I would say Romance, but if you look at my profile, it's full of Fantasy books at the moment xD The only thing that could beat Fantasy, though, is Fantasy-Romance. That, my friend, is my favourite genre to read and write in.

Zareen: Tell us one thing that readers do that make you smile. 

Nerissa: The readers already make my day for being there for me every step of the way! They always give me amazing feedback and supportive comments, I don't think there's any other people I appreciate more (other than my family and friends, of course)!

Zareen: What things do you like to do in your leisure time? (Besides writing, of course!) 

Nerissa: Haha! Besides writing... The answer would definitely be reading! I love to read books, and once again, mostly the ones in the Fantasy/Romance/Fantasy-Romance genres. Other than that, I love to listen to Pop, K-Pop or J-Pop songs in my spare time, or spend time with friends and family! But the one thing that takes up my time every day is Wattpad. Wattpad is the main platform I spend my time on these days!

Zareen: What is the one thing you love most in life? 

Nerissa: The answer would definitely be my family. I mean, where would I be without my parents? Or my sister? They're inspirational and supportive, and I wouldn't be where I am right now without them. Then again, Wattpad, friends and books come close too!

Zareen:. Any message you want to give to other aspiring authors?

Nerissa: Okay, okay, before you yell at me for giving such boring advice like : "never give up", which, by the way, I'm going to say right now. Never give up and work hard! Being a writer is all about perseverance and determination. We all have our hard times and moments, and things either get better, or worsen. But the point is, the harder you try, the more that's going to show in your work. For example, if you have problems with grammar, you work on it. You focus on your grammar until its the one thing that you love about your work! Anyway, I wish all the best to you aspiring writers out there!
