7 || Training

Hitomi's POV
I put my long hair up into a low ponytail as I stared at myself in the mirror. The scratches on my cheeks from training with Kakashi this morning were visible and contrasted against my pale skin. What would grandfather think of this? Would he care that I had gotten carried away with training?

A sigh escaped my lips as I left my room to walk to the training room. Aunt Hanabi would be there waiting for me so that she could teach me the secret techniques of the Hyuga. I was nervous, for I didn't have the byakugan but I did have the sharingan. Kakashi had told me that the byakugan was much more superior in power than the sharingan, for it had the ability to do permanent damage to ones chakra and have the ability to see through things, though it all depends on how advanced the user is. I doubt I would be able to master all of the things Hanabi is going to try to teach me. No one had ever used the Hyuga's techniques with a different dojutsu.

I opened the door to the training room to see Aunt Hanabi in a similar training outfit to mine, a dark purple shirt with netting and shorts. Grandfather stood beside her, in his usual attire. I walked into the room and bowed my head a bit. Hanabi smiled as she walked up to me.

"Hey Hitomi. Are you ready?" she asked. I nodded as she clapped her hands together. "Okay! First things first, chakra control. You don't have to use the sharingan right know, just so you know." I nodded again. She than began to explain how I could control my chakra fluently.

I tried doing it, but all I could do was bring a fiery heat to my hands. The goal was to bring regular chakra to my palms, not a element type of chakra. I tried again and eventually brung the heat to my palms like Aunt Hanabi had shown.

"All I could do is bring fire chakra to my palms...is that o-okay?" I asked. Hanabi tilted her head and thought for a moment.

"I guess it's okay. The extra chakra of the fire element won't really affect how you use the technique, though it will cause exterior damage to the skin or more. As long as you get the chakra flow right, you will do the technique flawlessly." Hanabi explained. I nodded and tried getting more chakra to heat up my hand.

As Hanabi explained to me that I should pinpoint the chakra into one single line, my hands were hotter than anything I have ever touched in my life. I did as she told me, and I could feel my chakra go unsteady here and there. It quivered, and it took all my focus to keep it stable.

"Were going to spar now. Aim for my chest, elbow, below my hip, and stomach. This might be difficult, but try your best. You'll memorize them soon." Hanabi said. She backed away from me and went into position. Her hand was in front of her, her legs spread out, and her eyes glaring at me. Veins popped up beside her eyes as I saw chakra radiate from her hands. I went into the same position and planned my attacks. A plan was set in my mind, and it included some jutsus Kakashi had taught me.

Hanabi shouted "Go" as she launched her self with her hands to hit me in the stomach. I dodged, making her hit me in the side. As she did, I pushed my hand down on her back. She tumbled down but sent me falling when she kicked me while on the ground. I gasped as she got up.

I wanted to rest down for a hit to recover from her attack, but I was sparring with Hanabi, I could not let my guard down. I got up and focused chakra in my eyes and hands.

I ran towards her and tried hitting her near the neck and face multiple times. I could not get her, for she was moving her head so that my hand missed every time. And when I barely nicked her cheek, she grabbed my hand and flipped me backwards. I took this chance to grab her hand and pull her down with me so that I could flip her over to attack her on the ground.

We both fell and I rolled her around so that I was on top of her to slam my hands towards her chest as fast as I could. Hanabi's eyes widened as she blocked most of my attacks with her hands. She jumped back up and breathed heavily from one of my attacks. I looked to see her orange kimono turn black near her chest area.

'I hit her!'

I smiled as I activated my sharingan. I put my hands out and ran towards her again. She moved to her left and hit me on the back as my hand missed her stomach.

I fell down but quickly got up again. I looked at her hands and saw chakra radiate from her fingers. I tried copying her move and attacking her with it. My sharingan noticed the smallest things, and I was lucky enough to memorize them.

She charged at me with her byakugan and hands. Hanabi tried hitting me in my chakra points in indescribable speed. I struggled to dodge, and once I saw a opening I grabbed her hand and hit her in the elbow to disrupt her chakra flow.

She froze in a split second before reacting. I saw her chakra in her left hand go unstable, the chakra not as fluent as her right hand.

Hanabi than kicked me in the stomach to send me flying backwards. I groaned as I hit the floor with a loud thud. I looked at her as I saw that she was far enough to recover for a few seconds from my attack. This was the perfect chance to send or my surprise attack.

"Now!" I said, forming a hand seal. Two clones than spawned next to me, sharingan ready. I quickly placed explosive seals on there backs before Hanabi could notice that I had sealed them. I made sure the tags were harmless, only to cause a big flash to blind the opponent.

Hanabi gasped as she prepared to fight off my clones. The replicas ran towards her, their hands in front of them. They both tried attacking her in her chakra points but failed. As they were about to disappear, I placed two fingers near my lips and shouted, "Katsu!!"

The two clones were now gone in a big cloud of light. I closed my eyes and ears until I saw Hanabi gone from my attack. My eyes widened in surprise as she was no where to be seen.

'Was that a shadow clone of herself?!'

My body suddenly got knocked down to the ground, my spine going numb and melting on me like a piece of ice. I looked to see Hanabi standing tall behind me, her byakugan deactivated.

"Good try, Hitomi. Let's go again. Be observant of my movements, for I may cast more clones of myself on you. Okay?" I nodded as I stood back up.

I prepared for another match as I planted slightly.

I was on the road of being strong, the lead that led me to my one goal in life. The goal that would make me feel complete. The goal that would make me happy.

So I am going to do a character section of the book soon, for it would be transitioning to age 5 to a genin/chunin. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, though it may seem a bit confusing. 😅

Also, I am beginning to type my stories on a computer, which may cause some grammer issues and longer paragraphs. Just a heads up!

Bye 🖤
