4 || Mother and Father
"Hitomi?" muttered a voice. The voice knocked on my door as I turned over on my bed. My eyes opened as my hands clutched tight onto my mothers picture. The blankets covered my body with warmth as the voice entered in my room. I looked over to see Aunt Hanabi.
"Hey...sorry to wake you up. I just came to ask if you want to come visit your mothers grave with me and your grandfather. You know, to pay respects?" she said. She smiled at me as she held onto the door.
I slid mothers picture under the sheets as I stood up from bed. I stared at Hanabi and nodded slowly.
I really did want to visit mothers grave. I wanted to see her and hopefully father too. After all, they haven't seen me in a long time...what respect is that from their daughter...?
"Okay great!" Hanabi chirped, "Come done when you're ready, were having breakfast once you're down."
I nodded again as she left my room, door closed and silent once again. A sigh escaped my lips as my feet stepped out from bed. My eyes were itchy and dry from crying to sleep, but the annoyance of the itch bothered me. It was strange. I remembered when my eyes felt off yesterday. Maybe that was the reason why they had hurt.
I looked at my closet and opened it. I was short to reach the full handle, so I had to get a stool to open it.
I took out the cream colored jacket that had fuzz on the inside of it. It stood out from the others, which is why I had chose to wear it. The jacket was big but warm, and it comforted me as I moved my arms. It also had the same crest on the sleeve that I had seen on Aunt Hanabi's clothes and grandfathers clothes. It was shaped like flame, with a yellow circle around it. It was unique in my opinion.
Suddenly, the door opened.
"Hey I forgot that you can't re-" Hanabi started. She stared at me with shocked eyes as I looked up at my aunt. She stayed silent as I stood there, confused of why she was so quiet. Had I done something wrong?
I felt my face go warm as I looked down at my feet. I was going to apologize but Hanabi spoke before I did.
"Hitomi...that's...your mothers old jacket that she used to wear when she was a child." Hanabi spoke. She stood still as I looked down at the jacket I was wearing. A pit of sadness began to form in my stomach as I nodded slowly. My eyes began hurting again, but I ignored it and instead looked up at Aunt Hanabi,
"Right...let's go eat some b-breakfast now." I stuttered. Hanabi nodded and mustered up a smile. She than took my hand and we walked down to eat.
As we walked, the face of my mother was in my mind. Her warm pearl eyes burned into my brain, leaving a permanent scar of her eyes. Because of this, anger arose in my body as my vow to avenge my parents grew stronger.
'Mom...Dad....I'll see you soon enough...and I promise that your killer will suffer from indescribable pain. I...promise.'

I walked up the grassy hill with grandfather's and Hanabi's hands in mine. I stared up at the sunless sky in disappointment. I was hoping to see the sun for once, but all I have seen were clouds and rain. I wanted to see the big ball of fire Hanabi described while we were eating breakfast. She described it as a warm ball of flames that stares down onto the Earth, giving plants light and creating new life. I sighed as I looked down at my feet until Hanabi stopped walking along with grandfather.
I looked up to see two gravestones next to each other, wilted flowers on each stone. They were all alone by themselves, no other graves to accompany them. Were those my parents gravestones?
Hanabi gave my hand a tight squeeze as she gave me a warm small smile. She than pulled me away from grandfather, leading me to the two lonely stones. The flowers in her hands went into mine, the green stems touching my palms. I stared blankly at the pretty bouquet of lilies as Hanabi spoke silently to me.
"Go and place the flowers down for both of your parents, okay? I'm sure they would be happy to see there daughter for the first time..." She gave me a little push on my back, making me step closer to the graves. I clenched onto the flowers as I swallowed the bug lump in my throat. Hanabi stepped back.
"U-Um...." I stuttered nervously. I stared at the grave in front of me carefully as a wind swept by. I than slowly bent down on my knees to place the flowers down on each grave. I took out the old ones and replaced them with the white lilies. I didn't know what to say, besides the silence in mouth. I wanted to say so much to them, like I was happy to see them, or that i would finally let them rest in peace, letting them know that I would avenge them. I wanted to say I love you, to say I missed them so much that it hurt. The words just couldn't come out from my mouth though. Only the brim of tears in my eyes came instead.
"I-I..." I bit my lip. I looked down as tears began falling down my face. The eyes of my mother flashed in my mind as I clenched onto the wilted flowers.
"Oh Hitomi..." Hanabi whispered. She walked towards me and placed a hand on my back. "It's okay....there in peace...no need to cry." Hanabi wiped the tears from my eyes as I sniffled.
The pit in my stomach hurt more as each tear got wiped away. Aunt Hanabi was wrong. Mother and father were not in peace. They died when they weren't supposed to, they died when they had so much to live for.
I looked over there graves as my eyes began to throb. My lip stopped shaking as Hanabi suddenly became dead silent. Her mouth dropped open as I glared at the two grave stones. The world than became bright red, like it had did the other day.
I stared at Hanabi to see a strange blue aura around her body. I turned to see grandfather, who also had a strange aura around him. The difference was the size of both auras. Grandfather's was slightly bigger than Aunt Hanabi's. Why am I seeing these auras?
"Hitomi your eyes!" Hanabi gasped. She pointed at me as her white eyes became huge. The anger in my body began to fade away as grandfather quickly walked over to bend down next to me. Grandfather stared into my eyes intensely.
"Father...is that-"
"Yes." he interrupted, "It is indeed the sharingan."
