3 || Fallen Pearls
"And this is going to be your room." Hanabi chirped. She opened a wooden door to reveal a small but cozy looking room. The room was simple, wood furniture, a bed with purple sheets, and a closet.
She walked into the room with my hand held right in hers. Hanabi's pearl like eyes shined as grandfather followed closely behind. He chuckled silently as Hanabi showed me all of my clothes in my closet. There was one jacket that stood out from the rest though. It was strange seeing new colors in such a small space. I was used to seeing gray and black all of my life...and I think that the color purple was beautiful. Especially the light colored one.
Today I was settling in with my mothers family, for they claimed ownership of me. Truthfully I was glad because I did not want to lie forever to Naruto and Sakura. Besides, grandfather and aunt Hanabi were kind and peaceful.
It was...interesting to meet them too.
(Flashback)
I stepped out of the car with Sakura's hand linked to mine. I blankly followed behind to see two people standing in front of a gate. My first reaction was how fascinated I was by their appearances.
The two people had pretty white eyes, like milk and a hint of lilac. The younger one was a girl, and she was also very pretty. A smile was plastered on her face as well as some tears. The older one seemed calm, but also happy. A small grin was on his face as Sakura introduced me to them.
"Hitomi...you look just like Hinata!" cried the girl. She bent down and hugged me tightly. Her hair smelled of flowers and linen, and her touch was soft and warm. It took me by surprise that she was touching me so quickly. The warm embrace comforted me in the most strangest way. Also, I could feel a weird aura around her, like she was powerful and strong. The aura was even stronger when the older man hugged me as well.
"Well, I should get going now. My son has to be fed." Sakura said. She looked at me and smiled. "Goodbye Hitomi."
She bowed down her head before returning to the car. The strange vehicle than drove off until it couldn't be seen.
It was a strange sight, seeing a price of metal move on its own. It was all new to me, like I was just born. I than realized what I had to learn about this world so that I could be close to normal.
(End of Flashback)
After that it was all a blur of tears and introductions. Hanabi was really sweet, like a flower on the sunlight. Grandfather was also gentle. He had a stern voice yet was soft at the same time. I admired the way he talked.
Hanabi snapped me back to reality by placing me down onto my bed. She stared at me and stayed quiet as she held something in her hand.
It was a picture frame with a women in it. It looked like aunt Hanabi, and has the same milky white eyes. She was beautiful, with long indigo hair and a soft smile. A light blush was dusted on her cheeks as her blank eyes stared into mine.
"This is...your mother, Hinata. She is my older sister, and I'm really sorry that you couldn't get to see her." she said with gentle eyes. "So I put a picture of her in your room, so it could remind you how much she had loved you."
My body froze as I stared at the girl in the picture. Tears pricked in my eyes as my hands started shaking. I dared not to let them know that I was broken.
"Y-Yeah...thank you." I stuttered out. A tear rolled own my cheek as Hanabi sadly stared at me. Her eyes became glossy as her arms wrapped around me. Grandfather stayed quiet as his hand rested on my head. He patted my hair only to make me wipe my tears from my face.
I could tell that sadness radiated in this room, for he and Hanabi had lost a very important person in their lives. I could tell that they both loved her dearly, even though they didn't say it.
"Well...we should leave you hear to get used to this. I'm right by the hall if you need me, okay?" Hanabi said. She smiled gently as she held onto my shoulders. I nodded as grandfather took his hand off of my head. "And you could trust me. I'm your aunt anyway, right?"
Play song now.
I nodded again as she stood up. My heart throbbed painfully as the two finally left me by myself. It was dead quiet in the room, with no one to speak or talk to.
I than finally let my tears run down my face.
A pit of loneliness and grief created a put in my stomach as a sob escaped my lips. My cheeks were covered in salty tears as I stared at my mother in front of me. Her kind eyes stared at me as I sobbed and cried for her.
I than stood up to grab her picture.
I held it close to my chest as I hugged it tightly. A shadow casted over her as my tears rolled down her face.
I had no mother, no one to call "mother" or "father." I yearned for their loved so badly, I wanted them to call me by my name. I wanted to be showered with love, not to be drowned in a dark cold ocean of sadness.
I was lonely, like a dead flower on a dead tree in the winter. I could never be alive again, never feel the sun on my face with a real smile. I could never be normal.
And yet I wanted to be a little girl everyone wanted me to be. I wanted to feel liked I was someone with a meaning, someone with a purpose in this world. Not someone who could wither away with no one caring.
I sobbed and fell to my knees as anger boiled in my mind. My nails dug into the back of the picture framed as my teeth clenched together tightly.
Who had done this to me who had made me feel what I am feeling? What did I do to deserve the life I have?
I just want a family, and what is wrong with that?!
Tears flooded my fade as I stared at my mothers face. My mother and father deserved to live. What did they ever do to deserve their lives to be taken away? Why couldn't it be me who would've died?
"Mom..." my voice cracked as my eyes brows lowered. A tear went down her pale skin as I took a deep breath.
A strange feeling became to form in my eyes as I cried. The feeling felt like power was in my eyes, like a burning sensation took over them.
I embraced the feeling as my eyes shot open. The world turned red, like it had been died by the blood of innocents.
"I will avenge you. I will take the life of whoever made me and you live in eternal darkness..." I swore, "And I promise."
