10 || Hidan

Hitomi's POV
The sun was now up in the sky and I could hear everyone in the village chatting loudly in the distance. Sunlight streamed in between the leaves as I ran with my arms behind my back. Small creatures like rabbits stared at me as I slowed down my pace. I realized I didn't need to rush, for I was already hiding my chakra and my footsteps. I should just walk and admire the beauty of the large forest. The Nara forest was big, and yet, so peaceful. I could see why the clan treasured this forest so much. The leaves casted a great array of shadows for them to use. The perfect arena for a fight.

I sighed and continued walking until I sensed a change of the forest after walking for about ten more minutes. The aura of the grand forest was off in the area of where I was standing, like the air had been wiped out from this area. This may be it...

"Sharingan." The world turned red as I swiftly looked around for any traces of chakra. I looked below me, and focused on the string of power that may be in the grass and air. Soon, I found a faint spark of chakra on a tall blade of grass. The chakra was very weak, and I could tell that it was not mine. I was in the right spot after all.

"Doton Mud Style; Soft Earth Jutsu." I whispered, forming hand signs. I placed my hand on the soft grass and felt the hard ground soften into a mud like powder. The jutsu spread around me, circling a large area and slowly forming a hole into the ground. I stepped out of the way and watched the Earth lower until I could see bits and parts that were out of place.

The jutsu went on for a while, and I stood silently, waiting for someone to appear. Dust floated in the air as the hole excavated even deeper into the ground. I waited until I saw a sliver of cloth deep in the hole. Soon, I saw a shoe and more bits of clothing. Finally, I saw a strand of long, messy silver colored hair.

A smile creeped onto my face as I leaned over the hole. I heard a deep grumble in the Earth, making dirt move out of it's way to reveal the man who I was looking for. Finally, his head was fully out of the ground. My grin disappeared and I stopped my jutsu with my hand.

The man's purple eyes met mine as I heard him mutter something weakly.

"Hidan." I bluntly said. "The Immortal Maniac. It's nice to finally meet you."

I jumped down into the deep hole and landed right in front of his head. He looked weak, with heavy bags under his eyes, dead eyes, paper skin, hollowed cheeks, and pure white hair. His neck wound and other injuries have healed up, despite the state he was in right now.

"Who...the," he choked out weakly, his voice raspy, "fuck are you."

I ignored for him for now and quickly picked him up by the head. I already knew I didn't have time for introductions and questions, so I saved them for later when we would walk away from the village.

I tucked his head gently under my arm as I slid off my bag on the ground. I opened it and placed his decapitated head inside of it carefully. I made sure he wasn't near any of my weapons, for I knew he was a talented and dangerous criminal despite the state he was in.

"It's okay for now," I whispered sternly, "If you want to escape stay quiet. I'll provide you a body once we get out of this village."

Hidan glared at me, curiosity forming in his purple eyes. He frowned as I started closing my bag once again. I made sure to leave a hole open so that he could breathe; it must have been uncomfortable to be suffocating for over ten years under the weight of dirt.

I put my bag back onto my back and formed my hands into another earth jutsu. I whispered the kanji for raise, and soon I was lifted up from the Earth.

As soon I saw the sun again, I knew that people would already know that Hidan had escaped. There was now a huge dirt patch on the ground, making it stand out from the bright green grass and trees. I had to move quickly.

And so I did, for I began running towards the gates, where I would finally be able to step closer to my one and only goal; to avenge my parents and slowly kill who ever had kill them.
