Orange is the new green.

Green used to be my favourite colour,
It's shining and refreshing and reminds me of  summer
It's hopeful, warming and a great expression
And it got me out of a big depression.

But it changed and I can't tell why
Because green and me were side by side
It also used to be the colour of my eyes
And the one of my favourite butterflies

And even my walls were brightly green
Since when are they not, what could have been?

What would I answer if you'd ask me,
I'd rethink what my favourite colour would be
And right now I know my words
Orange is correct although it hurts

It's shiny, sunny and warming inside
But it really doesn't feel so right
It's fearful and warning and part of the weather
But I need to get used to, that it suits me better.

Autumn is my new season, it's still an impact.
That with this reason my depression comes back.
And I hope that somebody helps me and gets in between
Between the fact that orange is now the new green.
