Gabi held onto one of the knifes that she found in the kitchen. She was currently standing near Y/n's office door. She had already gotten Y/n's schedule down by heart, so she knew for a fact that Y/n was in there doing his paperwork once again.

Gabi wanted Y/n gone, it wasn't something that she hid. However, everyone keeps getting in her way, whether it would be the devils or it would be the people she that would be by her side. Hell, even Zeke wanted her to stop.

Gabi was just about to step into the office. She creaked the office door open as she made sure that her steps were slow and quiet. She could see that Y/n's back was turned to her and that he would for sure not notice her no matter what.

"Gabi," A voice spoke up, "What are you doing?"

Gabi froze up. She looked to the side to see her older cousin standing over her with a slightly horrified expression. That right, this is the first time Gabi threatened Y/n with an actual knife before, so of course anyone who would catch her would be horrified.

"Reiner..." Gabi breathed out in slight shock that, out of all people, he caught her.

Reiner looked at Gabi with wide eyes as they glanced at the blade in her hands then back at her. Gabi was frozen in place as she gazed at the look that Reiner gave her. She couldn't move. The horrified look scared her.

"You're coming with me," Reiner said in a stern voice as he grabbed Gabi's arm, dragging her away.

"H-Huh?! H-Hey! Reiner let me go!!" Gabi shouted, "Let me go!!"

Gabi screamed and thrashed in Reiner hold. Reiner was lucky enough to have taken away the knife that Gabi had otherwise he would've for sure been stabbed. On the way to his room, Reiner made sure to have put the knife in a high place and out of Gabi's reach. Something that Y/n had told him to do.

Reiner threw Gabi into the closet of his room as he shut the door. Gabi stumbled and dumped into the clothes that hung in the closet. When Reiner had shut the door, the room turned pitch dark with no light in sight.

"Hey! What's your problem?!" Gabi shouted as she bagged on the door since she couldn't get it opened, "Let me out!! I was so close this time!! Reiner, let me out!"

Reiner put a chair on where the knob was, locking Gabi inside of the closet. He really didn't want to do this to Gabi, but she had to learn from her mistakes. She has to realize that there was no use in fight for a useless war and that she could finally be a normal kid again.

Gabi continued to bag on the closest door, "Reiner! Please, let me out! I don't like it in here! It's dark, Reiner! Let me out, please!!"

Reiner clutched his fists together as his lips quivered. He wanted to let Gabi out, he really did, but he won't allow himself to do so. No matter how much Gabi pleaded, he will not let her out. For the sake of Y/n, he had to control himself.

"I... I can't let you out, Gabi," Reiner said hesitantly.

The banging from Gabi stopped, "Why...? Why is that?! Is it because of Y/n?? He's been doing nothing but stay in that office of his as he makes all of you guys stopped being warriors! He's done nothing but messed everything we work for up!!"

"You don't get it Gabi!" Reiner snapped, "Y/n did so much for us! You know what he said to me the other day? He said that he would still accept you into this house even if you never accept him. He said that he would wait for you to come around no matter how many times you try to kill him.

"Can't you see how happy everyone is now that he is in our lives? Can't you see how much better life is now that there isn't any war or enemies? We don't need to worry about Marley or Eldians or Devils. You're the only here making life difficult for yourself."

Gabi was silent. She let Reiner's words sink into her head. It was true, Y/n never got furious with her, he never raised a hand or voice at her, unlike the people she trained with. Y/n gave them all a luxurious home, one they thought they would never have.

Reiner looked down as he could see that Gabi was still in the closet, "Y/n has been working restless hours just to provide for us despite already having so much money. He said to me one time...

"I want Falco to have a normal childhood," Y/n said with a smile as he was talking to the used-to-be warriors during dinner, "He told be the other day that he doesn't want to leave this world, so I want to enroll him into a normal school. There's a public school not too far away from here. At his age, Falco will be in middle school. I will make sure that he will have everything he needs.

"And of course, if Gabi wants to stay, I will enroll them both together. The same middle school, the same grade level, everything. I will help them as much as I can I promise."

"...That's... That's what Y/n said to us," Reiner explained, "He wants the best for you, for Falco, for all of us. Those of us who told him that we want to stay, or is iffy on staying, will be grantee an amazing future by Y/n himself."

Reiner looked at the door that separated him from talking Gabi face to face, "So, Gabi, why can't you see that Y/n cares so much for us. All of his time, all of his actions, are just for us. And you know what else? Y/n has shitty parents.

"His mother is an abuser, and I don't even want to guess what his father is like, but I know it isn't good. He pushed through his trauma to help us. He works late night just so that we can have the best foods to eat. He gives us everything he has just so that we can be happy.

"Open your eyes Gabi," Reiner said, "Y/n is a good person."

Gabi's eyes widened more at the last sentence Reiner had said to her. She could feel her finger tremble, as her lips quiver. Her inner child screaming just to cry and apologize profusely. In fact, that's what she did.

Gabi cried.

Reiner perked up at the sound of sniffles and hiccups from the other side of the door. He looked at the door with wide, tired eyes as he realized that Gabi was crying. Gabi wasn't one to cry out loud like this, so this was a shock to Reiner.

"Gabi..." Reiner whispered.

"I'm sorry!" Gabi sobbed, "I'm sorry, Reiner! I'm wrong!! I don't want the warrior life anymore! I want to go home! I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry, Reiner! Everything is my fault! I should've seen everything sooner!

"I'm sorry to everyone! I should've been better at seeing how happy everyone was!"

Reiner's shoulder relaxed as he furrowed his brows upwards. He carefully moved the chair away from the door as he opened the closest. Inside, Gabi was curled up into a ball like how a normal child would be as she was wiping away the tears that stained her cheeks.

Gabi looked up quickly as the light hit her eyes. Her eyes looked like glass as she looked up at Reiner. She seemed to cry harder when she saw her cousin again, tears overflowed her eyes as she sobbed and cried.

"Reiner..." Gabi cried as she jumped into Reiner's arms.

Reiner was quick to hug Gabi close to her as she sobbed into his shoulder. He carried Gabi in his arms as he cried with a small smile on his lips now that Gabi finally realized the type of person Y/n is.

"Gabi..." Reiner said as he rubbed circles on Gabi's back.

Gabi continued to cry waterfalls, "I'm so sorry..."

Reiner closed his eyes, "Shh, it's all okay now."

Rapid footsteps were heard from outside of the room. Gabi and Reiner looked up when someone opened the door in a slight panic. To their surprise, Y/n was the one who opened the door. His eyes held a sense of panic as he seemed to have dropped everything to see what was happening.

"I heard crying," Y/n claimed, "Is everything okay? No one is hurt right? Gabi, you didn't hurt yourself, did you??"

Gabi's tears seemed to bubble up more seeing that Y/n was concerned for her. Y/n had such a kind heart that he asked about her wellbeing first before anything. She cried harder making Y/n worried.

Y/n quickly went up to Reiner who still had Gabi in his arms, "Reiner, nothing happened right? Oh geez, Gabi what in the world? Why are you crying so much??"

Gabi sniffed as she reached her hands out to Y/n, "Y/n..." She sobbed.

"Huh...? Gabi, what's wrong...?" Y/n asked softly as he grabbed Gabi from Reiner's hold and held her in his own arms.

"I'm so-so sorry," Gabi said as she cried into Y/n's shoulder this time.

Y/n blinked in shock of what Gabi had just said. He looked at Gabi before looking down at the floor in surprise. He honestly didn't think he would be hearing those words come out of Gabi's mouth.

Y/n looked up at Reiner, "Is she okay?" He mouthed to him.

Reiner just nodded, "She's finally happy now," He mouth back to Y/n.

Y/n's eyes widened at what Reiner had just said. He looked back at Gabi who was slowly tiring herself out from crying for so long. He gave Gabi a small soft smile as he hugged Gabi close to him.

Reiner could feel tears prick his eyes as he saw his two most favorite people in the world finally get along with one another. He hugged both Gabi and Y/n close to him. He felt Y/n hug him with one arm as the other was already preoccupied with Gabi.

'I'm happy that she finally saw the Y/n that I see,' Reiner thought to himself.
