"Y/n, you have to take a deep breath, calm down, please..." Kai begged in a worried tone.

"Calm down?? How am I supposed to do that?" Y/n whispered since it was late at night and didn't want to wake anyone up, "They're going to come here. Here! What am I supposed to do?? I still have the cast in my house, I can't hide them from my parents! If they see a bunch if seemingly nobody's in my house they'll flip!

"Father is going to think that I've slept with all of them! You know how he takes poly or any gay relationships. Not only that but he still sees me as S/n. Me being in a relationship will make him go haywire!

"Mother knows that they don't have a job. Hell, she probably already tried to search them up online or something! She's going to beat me, Kai! I-I don't know what to do... She's going to come here and yell at me, and hit me, and—"

"Y/n!!" Kai shouted, cutting Y/n off from his ranting, "You have to stay calm. Take a deep breathe and clear your mind for me, alright? You have the literal cast of AOT on your side, I'm sure, if you let them, they will protect you."

Y/n sniffed as he clutched his hair out of anxiety, "I don't want them to get in between my business. I promised them that I will give them a home and a safe place to be. Them intervening in my problems is not what I want for them, especially the kids. I just... I just want the best for them..."

Kai could be heard sighing at the other side of the phone, for him it was day, but for Y/n it was night, "I know you want the best for them, just like how I want the best for the JJK cast, but in order to do that you have to let them know a bit more about you. I told them, directly, about my past, and they helped me through it just like I've done with them. Hell, even Geto helped me!

"The point is, you have to let them in your life officially. Let them help you like you helped them. You gave them a home and a safe place to be, right? Then let them be your safe place too. Helping can go two ways, I promise you don't have to be the only one helping, Y/n."

"I've already set up clues for them to find about my life," Y/n stated as he looked out to the starry night from his bed, "I've unlocked 'that room' for them to find. I just don't have the heart to tell them directly about my past without me breaking down. Kai, when your cast helped you, how did you let them in?"

There was a small silence, "What do you mean?" Kai asked.

Y/n groaned lightly as he ruffed his hair, "I don't know. I guess... how were you able to be so open with them? How can you accept the help so easily?"

"You have some serious mental health issues."

"Not helping..."

"Well..." Kai started as the shuffling of papers could be heard, "How do I say this? You just have to be soft around them. Let them help you no matter how much you don't want it. I know how you are when someone offers their help. Let them open their arms so that you can run right into it. Let them pick you up from that dark hole you keep falling into. Let them be your hero, even if it's just this once."

Y/n stayed silent. The only 'hero' in his life was his sister, but she wasn't there when the abuse started. So, to really put it into thought, Y/n never had a real hero to save him from his parents. There was Valentine and Kai, but one was his boss and the other was on the opposite side of the world, so he can't really go to them for help 24/7.

"But what am I going to do when they come here?" Y/n asked.

"Let them save you from your parents."

Y/n looked to the side as he couldn't help but lower his eyes in hesitation. Could the others really help him through a harsh time that's coming so soon?

Kai sighed, "Look Y/n, you need to let more people into your life, the good kind. And those good kind of people are right there in your house right now. If I watched enough of their anime, they will do everything and anything for you since you showed them so much kindness to them.

"Now, go to sleep, you hag, it's literally 2 am where you are and you've been on call with me since 11 pm. I don't want you to let your insomnia take over your schedule again."

Y/n chuckled, he always knew how mother-duckling-worried Kai could get sometimes, "Alright, have a good rest of your day, Kai."

"Good night, Y/n."

Y/n hung up the phone as he stared in front of him. The smile from the chuckle was long gone as the heavy eye bags were back under his eyes. He just felt tired. Y/n groaned as he hunched over and gripped his hair. His shoulders shook as small tears pricked his eyes.

"Someone..." Y/n mumbled, his voice made it seem like he was at his breaking point, "save me from this hell..."

Levi was on the other side of the door with wide eyes from what he had just heard. Y/n isn't the only one with a major insomnia after all. Levi was just going to get a glass of water but stopped when he heard Y/n's voice. From then on, Levi listened quietly to the conversation Y/n was having over the phone.

Levi closed his eyes as he clutched his fist. Out of all people, why did Y/n have to go through the hell he did? Why was someone so kind put into a life that was so harsh to him? Why can't life be fair to everyone? Why does it always have to be that one person in life to suffer so much?

Questions like the ones in Levi's head were always going to be left unanswered. There was nothing Levi could do to gain those answers, no matter how much he tried. However, he knew one thing; he will help Y/n no matter how much he pushes or pulls away.
