The sudden boldness from the blonde caught Y/n off guard. He had flinched as a red blush covered his cheeks and the tips of his ears. He held the apple flower closer to his chest to calm his beating heart.

"E-Erwin...!" Y/n stuttered, "W-What...?"

Lips slightly trembling, Erwin stood in front of Y/n. His hand was over his heart as a small red blush was on his pale cheeks. This was one of the first times Erwin had seen Y/n flustered, and he couldn't help but think that Y/n looks absolutely adorable.

"Y/n," Erwin started, his confidence in his voice unwavering, "I love you. With all my heart, and all my being, I love you. I have... I have been feeling like this for a while now, so I wanted to tell you. I needed... to tell you on how I felt."

Y/n tried his best to cover the bottom of his face to hide his blush, but it didn't help, "E-Erwin..."

Erwin's eyes softened at the startled Y/n as he carefully took a step closer to him and grabbed his waist to pull his closer to him, "You know what type of person I am, Y/n, so please do not doubt my words. I truly do love you, and I want to care for you for as long as we live. I want to stay with you, kiss you and love you like a partner. I really do love you, Y/n..."

"Y-You're too much, Erwin..." Y/n whispered as he covered his face with both of his hands this time, "I can't handle it... Just... Just why me? Of all people? You could've gone out to the world and found yourself a lovely and beautiful wife. You could've... You could've been with anyone else. So... Why me? Just... why?

"I-I know that I'm not the best person to be with. I'm too hooked up on work, and I have so many problems that will burden you. Not only that, but our ways of looking at the world is so different, I-I just don't know how you would-"

A small kiss on his head made Y/n stop talking abruptly. Y/n could feel the kiss linger on his forehead as he blushed once again. He looked up and noticed that Erwin was still by his side with a soft smile on his face. He also just noticed the tears pricking his eyes.

"Erwin..." Y/n whispered, more to himself but the blonde did hear him.

"Whatever problems you have I am sure that I can handle them," Erwin reassured, "I will help you through your problems, and I am sure that we can get through whatever problems we will have in the future. As for the both of us, I know, I know for a goddamn fact, that we, together, will be okay.

"Y/n, you are everything to me. I cannot, and will not, imagine a world without, because I know for a fact that it will hurt me much more. I love you, Y/n, can you not see that? I love you so, so much."

Y/n's lips trembled slightly as his brows furrowed upwards, "Are you... Are you sure you want to settle with... me?" He asked carefully.

Erwin smiled as he carefully grabbed Y/n's jaw as leaned towards him, "I wouldn't have had it any other way."

"Okay..." Y/n breathed out quietly, his lips brushing against Erwins, "I believe you..."

Without a second thought, Erwin finally kissed Y/n on his lips. This was the moment that both of the males were waiting for. Erwin held Y/n close as he held the back of Y/n's head to deepen the kiss.

Y/n, feeling a small tear slip his eye, felt at ease. He trusts Erwin, as Erwin trusts him. Both of their hearts belong to one another, and not to someone else. This was their love that could never be broken.
