AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hi lovelies!

It's Chiddy.E  here, writer of all things heart and soul. Lol.

So this is a simple heart to heart from me to the readers of 'His Words Or Yours? '

Honestly I wrote this short story in less than an hour. I just had to create chapters from the major scenes to make things more interesting and give readers that hunger of scrolling to find out what's next.

Well, I've been quite focused in mystery/thriller as a writer and I stated some time ago on my message board that, I'd like to try out other genres this year, as a way of improving my writing skills.

This book wasn't part of that plan but after some thoughts and an outlook of what women and colored people still go through even in this age, I decided to reach out to my feminist side and do what I do best- Write!

My published works on wattpad are based on other major locations in the world, besides my birth place- Africa.

And due to these stories, a lot of my followers and readers don't know this about me (my origin). So I guess this story was also a chance for me to embrace my identity as a proud black woman living in the twenty-first century.

It was also an opportunity to give readers a glimpse of life as an African woman in the 18th/ early 19th century. Honestly, the beliefs seen in this story still exist in some countries in Africa today.

This book might help people understand why Africans, especially women always have a short-fuse at the sight of oppression. We found it ugly then and we still do. For this reason, the spirit to fight for liberation is always present.

This story was written and is dedicated to every woman being oppressed/ who have been oppressed in anyway.

It's also a reminder to readers at wattpad to embrace their true selves and be keen to share their multiculturalism.

So, yes, I Chiddy.E, writer of 'By A Rose', 'Mad Mary', 'Ivy' and many more to come - I'm a proud African woman. And this short story is my gift to you.

Love diversity, Free the POC, remain strong hearted - Love, Chi❤

Oh and read my other works!  😂

Bye!
