BONUS CHAPTER
*****
WALKING BACK INTO the house after a long day of negotiations with potential business partners with my father, the last thing I expected to see was a fighting ring in the living room. Or something close to one.
"Araceli, stop this. You're going to get hurt."
My father snapped his head up, intrigue on his face as he took in the situation. "Who's getting hurt?"
Everyone turned to us at the sound of his voice, their eyes widening and their mouths dropping open in shock. They probably weren't expecting for us to walk in the moment we did.
"Are any of you going to answer me?" Lucien asked, irritation clear in his tone as he raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms over his chest.
The security detail that had accompanied us squeezed past us and walked away, probably not wanting to have anything to do with the situation. I would've left with them if the maid who seemed to be the cause of this whole spectacle wasn't one I knew better than others.
I leaned onto the wall by the doorway, unable to help the smirk that grew onto my face as I prepared myself for the chaos that I knew was going to ensue. Ever since meeting her, that's all that ever seemed to happen.
"Miguel slapped Araceli," the other maid that I didn't know spoke up suddenly, drawing all of our attention to her. Her face grew red and her hands shook violently as she glared down at the floor beneath her shoes.
"'s butt. He slapped my ass," Araceli quickly corrected her friend, making me raise an eyebrow at Miguel.
He slapped her ass? Something made my mind reel as I clenched my hands into fists. What startled me the most was the fact that it seemed like I had more of an issue with the fact that he touched her than with the fact that he had sexually assaulted her.
The blonde maid slapped her hand over her face at her mistake, but said nothing else.
"I don't even know why we're still here, boss," Miguel said, not showing any signs of remorse as he took a step back from her. I didn't even realise that they were so close, I could only focus on her. "I don't see how any of this still matters."
Araceli huffed and shoved Miguel roughly, but he didn't budge, further showing how much stronger he was compared to her.
"It still matters because—"
"Araceli," her friend hissed, latching onto her arm and yanking her away from him. "Don't try and fight him."
"Dont stop her."
I snapped my eyes to my father, furrowing my brows at his words as silence fell upon us.
"You want to fight him?" he asked, his voice dark and his gaze trained solely on her. "Then fight him."
"If you have any regard for your safety, I'd advise that you don't come anywhere near me, little girl. I will not hesitate to rip you in half."
No one in that room doubted his words, but she still looked like she was willing to fight him, not heeding his warning. With a quiet sigh, I decided to finally intervene before she got herself hurt.
"Come here."
She turned her attention to me at that moment, something in her gaze breaking as she took me in completely. She looked like she was thinking about it before she finally started walking towards me with small steps, but Lucien interjected.
"I said fight him. Fight him so someone will finally put you in your place. You're just a woman in this house."
I turned to him, the smirk returning. 'Just' a woman? If only he knew what this woman had done to Vincent. Araceli was more than 'just' a woman. She was an important asset to the whole cartel and I knew she would take us far. I had plans for her.
I looked back at her, almost finding myself cringing back at the deadly glare she was shooting his way. If there was something I knew, it was the fact that she had multiple ways to destroy a person.
With her hands, with her words and with her eyes. She licked her lips before training her eyes on Miguel. In that moment, though, she had lost me. The only thing I could focus on was her tongue and pretty, plump lips.
Fuck, I wanted to feel that around my dick.
I shook the thought out of my head, not wanting to get hard randomly in the middle of the sitting room. Even though my mind roared with all the things I wanted to do to her, I focused on the scene that was unfolding before me.
If she wasn't going to listen to me, that was fine. She could fight all she wanted, but I didn't want to hear her complaining about how much shit hurt when I was fucking her brains out.
The sound of her moans echoed around in my mind, making me grit my teeth.
Fuck sakes, get out of my head.
"Well then bitch?" Miguel chuckled, crossing his arms over his chest. "Aren't you going to hit me?"
She stared up at him, her eyes cold and calculating against his humoured ones. Suddenly, she sent her hand onto his face, leaving the room to echo with the sound of the slap that I almost missed.
There was a deep silence which was then broken by the sound of his unserious laugh. "Is that it?" he asked. "That's all you can do?"
He slowly started walking closer to her and every bone in my body willed me to step into the middle of the fight, pull her out and spank her until she swore to never even look at a hostile figure again.
"I'm thinking that when I'm done with you here, I should put you to good use—"
I didn't want to hear the rest of his sentence and thankfully, I didn't have to. The show honestly flashed before my eyes and all I could do was stare in mild shock. One minute he was laughing and mocking her and the next, after a knee to his face and two to his stomach, he was lying on the ground in pain.
Before he could get up and deal some real damage, she picked up her shoe that was somehow off her feet and beside him. She slapped him with it across the face before slipping it on and then grabbing her friends arm.
"Think twice before you go grabbing someone else's ass again," she sneered bitterly at him. Without turning to give any of us her time of day, she dragged the other maid out of the sitting room, leaving only me, my father and Miguel.
A cold silence settled between all of us before a laugh bubbled up out of my chest. I found myself holding onto my father for support as I clutched my stomach and laughed. I couldn't remember the last time I had found something so funny, but obviously, Lucien didn't feel the same.
"Daniel," he growled, pushing my hand off him as I sobered up.
Taking any chance I had to annoy him, I stepped closer to him even though I clearly noticed when he stepped back. He glared at me as I looked between him and Miguel who was sitting up with a bruise developing on his head.
I then looked back at him again. "Just a woman." I shook my head, chuckling one last time as the annoying strands of my hair almost fell into my eyes. "If there's anything worse than a woman, I don't want to meet it."
I turned away, going in the same direction I saw Araceli walk in. "Just a woman."
"Daniel," he called after me, but I was too far gone.
I only had one thought on my mind and that was the fact that I had to make her mine.
In every sense of the word.
*****
I ALWAYS DELIVER AHAHA
What's your catchphrase for when you're about to fight? Mine is 'say that again' which explains why Araceli says that so much.
This was obviously written in Daniel's POV, so sorry if it feels weird to read. It took a few rewrites.
Anyhoo the next chapter is what i like to call the beginning of the... well beginning of the action i guess? lmao idk.
Prepare yourselves ;)
