~Willow's POV~
Parking in the handicapped space, legally, I get out and found Bella and Charlie in a booth. Sitting down, I saw that the menu's weren't there. Charlie must have ordered for us.
Cora, my favorite waitress, appeared with our drinks. But as soon as she left she soon returned with our food. A sirloin steak for Charlie, a garden burger for Bella, then grilled chicken tenders with fries for me.
Glancing over, I noticed several loggers at the counter offered Bella welcoming smiles. She smiled back, but I knew that those grown men were pervs. It's sad that Charlie was oblivious to it all, but I wasn't. I'm not some easy naive girl. I have dignity, unlike most teenagers.
"Can't get over how grown up you are." Cora says to Bella. "And so pretty. Your natural glow is almost as pretty as Willow's."
My eyes widen at her, as I blush. Every now and then, I'd get these crazy compliments. Sometimes, it felt weird, but when it comes from the Cullen's I don't mind at all. Weird right?
Taking a bite of my chicken, I enjoy the nice juicy taste. Out of nowhere, a bearded hippy logger appeared behind Cora, leaning over her shoulder to look at Bella and I.
"Hey, Bella. 'Member me? I was Santa one year." He asks.
"Waylon, she hasn't had a Christmas here since she was four. And Willow's been going to the Clearwater's to celebrate over at their house." Charlie states.
"Bet I made an impression, though." Waylon replies.
"You always do." Charlie jokes.
"Butt-crack Santa?" Cora jokes.
"Hey, those kids love those little bottles." Waylon says.
"Alright, alright. Let the girls eat their garden burger and grilled chicken." Cora scolds the man, pushing him away from us. "When you're done, I'll bring you your favorite, berry cobbler. Remember?" Bella nods. "Charlie and Willow have it every other Thursday."
"Fresh from the oven?" I ask. Cora nods, "Thank you, Cora." She smiles before shooing Waylon away.
Digging into my chicken, I watch as Charlie and Bella knock hands while going for the condiments. Charlie saves it when he gives Bella the ketchup and goes for the steak sauce instead.
"So. You eat here often?" Bella asks.
"Gives Willow a break from doing the dishes." Charlie answered.
"Now don't get me wrong, I love to cook. But Charlie doesn't want me to think that I'm being taken advantage off. So, we come here a couple times a week." I explain.
"I can cook." Bella suggests. I give off a nervous look but hid it well while Charlie was curious.
"I do the cooking at home. Mom's not really great in the kitchen." Bella says.
"I remember." Charlie replies, remembering something. "But, the kitchen is Willow's domain, so you two can talk about it if you want but whatever Willow says goes."
Bella nods, but looked sad. Not questioning it, I take a sip of my pop.
"How was school? Classes going ok? Meet anyone?" Charlie asks the both of us.
"Yep. I'm a few assignments away from being ready to graduate. And then it's off to University of Seattle." I answer first.
"Yeah. And a few people." Bella answers after. "Do you know the Cullen's?"
I look up at her sharply, worried about where she was going with this.
"Are people talking about them again?" Charlie asks.
"No... well, a little." Bella answers.
"Well, they shouldn't. They're just a regular family that doesn't deserve so called 'small town hospitality'." I snap, frustrated.
"Whoa, whoa." Charlie calms me down. "Sorry, Bells, it's sensitive for Willow." He rubs my shoulder, knowing I hate it when people talk about others, especially behind their backs. First it was me when I was very young, and now it's my best friends' entire family. "Well. The Cullen's are newcomers. Moved here around two years ago. We're lucky to have a surgeon as amazing as Dr. Cullen at our little hospital. He decided it would be best if he raised his family in a small town. Thankfully, his kids aren't like the hell-raisers around here."
"Okay." Bella nods. "Wait. You said 'he' wanted to raise them. Jessica mentioned them as just 'Dr. Cullen's' foster kids. Isn't there a Ms. Cullen?"
"Jessica needs to learn that there is more to a high school education than 'gossiping'!" I snap. "That piece of information is private."
"And you know?" Bella demands.
"And so what if I do? Is that so wrong for friends to share? They trusted me with it, and I'm not like you or Jessica to go off rambling it to everyone." I state, my voice strong. Bella's eyes widen then she sunk in her chair.
I gave Charlie a nod, letting him know I was ok. Finishing my food, I hand him a ten bill before getting up. Telling him that I have homework, he lets me go. After driving home, I get a text from one of my other best friends. Getting out of my car and locking it, I pull out my phone while going inside.

RinniArc: Hey, Lil Red! How's my favorite bestie in the most mediocre named town?
4:05 p.m.
Wisp: Hey, Rinni! I'm good. Just dealing with some shit.
4:06 p.m.
RinniArc: What kind of shit? You ok?
4:07 p.m.
Wisp: Yeah. Just Jessica gossiping as usual.
4:08 p.m.
RinniArc: UGH! If I had the option, I would have Thor take her to some Asgardian prison. She needs to shut her mouth.
4:09 p.m.
Wisp: As enjoyable as that sounds, it'd be too suspicious. Anyway, how are you, any new 'designs' yet?
4:10 p.m.
RinniArc: You do know that we can talk shop right? You got the new phone Dad and I gifted you.
4:11 p.m.
Wisp: Right. Totally forgot.
4:12 p.m.
Gazing down at my Galaxy Samsung watch, I couldn't stop feeling monumentally grateful to Trinity and her dad for them. The watch face was a default design I customized, and the band was a mirror/reverse theme: navy blue with pink, then reverse pink with navy blue. The fold phone was black.
RinniArc: It's ok. I'm still not used to some of it either sometimes. But thanks to mine and Dad's touch, your phone is hack proof. No one will ever be able to get into it unless we allow it. Plus, we added the addition with it and your galaxy watch. If the watch senses your vitals are... you know, dead, the phone and watch go in sync and alert Dad and I.
4:13 p.m.
Wisp: It's like I'm always being watched. LMAO!
4:14 p.m.
RinniArc: Haha, very funny. You know Dad doesn't do that. It's just so we can always be able to find you in case you need it. Plus, just touch the face of the watch and you also get stealth option. Just like the quin-jet.
4:15 p.m.
Wisp: That's great. Well, can I talk to you later? I've got homework and I got to text the others.
4:16 p.m.
RinniArc: Sure. I've got some of my own homework I should be doing anyway.
4:17 p.m.
Wisp: Using me as an excuse again?
4:18 p.m.
RinniArc: No! I just... miss you. So do the others. You know they love you! Besides, they miss you almost as much as me.
4:19 p.m.
Wisp: I know. But Charlie doesn't know about me, or you, or... anything. And your Dad and I made that deal so no one would know unless it's my choice.
4:20 p.m.
RinniArc: Of course I do. Dad thought you were crazy at first, but didn't want to say anything. Glad you used that mask of yours. It was cool. Anyway, I'll let you go.
4:21 p.m.
Wisp: TTYL
4:22 p.m.

Putting my phone down on my bed, I take out my sketchpad and started to look through some of my old designs from long ago. Flipping through the pages, I found one that I couldn't recall. It was a beginning sketch, a wolf howling up at the moon with a girl with a braid across her right shoulder with no face. Shrugging my shoulders, I get out my pencil and begin to fix the edges to make it clearer. I didn't remember the face, so I just faded it out with the hair and shadow.
Without realizing how much time had passed, I was finishing the pencil work and began to use my colored pencils.
Knock
Knock
Unphased, I acknowledge. "Come in." The door opens to reveal Bella.
"Hey." She says.
"Hi." I reply, curious to what she's up too.
"I just wanted to apologize if I hit a nerve, back at the diner. It was inappropriate of me, and I'm sorry." She says, her voice full of guilt.
"I accept your apology. There's not a lot of people in this town I trust with what I know. Or stuff about me. Like the saying goes, 'the best kept secrets are the ones you keep to yourself'." I reply.
"I can't help but be curious though. About the Cullen's. Especially with what Edward did in Biology-" I cut her off.
"What?!" I thought, setting my pencils down.
"I'm going to stop you right there. What do you mean, with what Edward did in Biology?" I ask.
"When I walked in class, he was glaring at me. Next thing I know, he suddenly covers his nose and mouth like he smelt something disgusting. It was like he was avoiding me like I was a plague. He kept eyeing me in class, but when the bell rung, he bolts out of class like his life depended on it. Then after school in the parking lot, he gives me this look that was full of guilt. I was so angry, I just left." Bella explains.
I was frozen.
"Well." I say, slightly stunned. "Didn't expect that."
"That why I was curious about them." She replies.
"Well, here is a helpful hint for the future. Never listen to Jessica. She's a total skank and jerk if you ask me. She tried to ask Edward out but he kept rejecting her. She didn't give up until he threatened a restraining order. Knowing how it would ruin her rep, she stopped. But that didn't stop her from gossiping." I state while moving my pencils to my nightstand.
"You don't like her very much, do you?" Bella asks.
"She betrayed me, Bella. A long time ago, I trusted her, only to find out who she really is. Her possessiveness for Mike, and little 'small town girl' facade, it's all an act. I'd watch your back if I were you." I answer unphased.
"I will. Promise." She replies. "Well, I'm about to head to bed. Night."
"Night." I say as she walks out and closed my door.
Checking my phone, I was surprised to find it was 8:54 p.m. Almost 9. Shaking my head, I gather my stuff and put it off to the side to fix in the morning. Changing into a simple oversized tank and sleep shorts, I get into bed and instantly go to sleep.
~Alice's POV~
Sucked out of my most recent vision, her words repeated in my head subconsciously.
'The best kept secrets are the one you keep to yourself.'
Jasper snaps me out of my trance when we see Rosalie going at it with Edward. Again.
"Do you have any idea what that human could do? The damage she could cause." Rosalie says upset.
"You think I haven't thought of that. It was an accident." Edward replied, defensive.
"Rosalie, please calm down." Jasper and I step in.
"How can I calm down when that human could ruin everything?! I mean, your vision wasn't clear on her face so how do we know if it's that Swan child?" Rosalie replies.
"You know how sorry Alice feels about it not being clear. But we should be at least thankful that the other one was." Jasper said to her.
"I just wish I could see her face. I would know if it's Bella or someone else who's supposed to be Edward's mate." I state, feeling down.
"It's not your fault, Alice. I don't blame you. I just..." Rosalie trails off, venom tears building in her eyes. Emmett soon sped over from the kitchen to her side and pulls her to his chest. Edward took the chance to speed away.
"Hey, hey, shh. It's okay, babe." Emmett coos to her. "We know. We all want the same thing." He looks at me.
"I haven't gotten a vision yet. I'm not sure when Willow will know." I tell them.
"Is it so wrong that I wish she could be here, but still don't want her to know the dangers? I mean, what if she rejects the bond? Him? Us?" Rosalie asks, dry sobbing.
"What's going on?" Carlisle asks, walking down the hall to see us.
"Just talking about what happened today." Jasper answers. "About Edward, Bella, and Willow."
"Okay. Well, is everything going to be alright? What's your answer to Rosalie's question, Alice?" Carlisle asks.
"To answer you, Rosalie. I know she won't. We all do. She'll love us." I answer.
"I agree with Alice. Since the years we've known her since our move here, she is not the type of person to hurt others. She is too kind." Jasper says.
"Then what do you think will happen?" Emmett asks, Rosalie's feelings soon rubbing off on him. His soothing smile turning to a frown.
"I believe she will be shocked at first. But in the end, she'll know how much we love her." Jasper answers, hugging me from behind, then takes in my scent.
"Then all we have to do is be patient. Let's try not to rush into anything. For all of our sakes. And most importantly...hers." Carlisle says, calmly.
A moment of silence comes between us, I excuse myself to go check on Edward. When I turned the corner, I knock on the wall to see him packing a bag.
"Are you ok?" I ask.
"Yeah. I just... I'm gonna go to our cousins. To get some distance from Bella." Edward answers.
"Because she's your blood singer?" I ask.
"Or my mate? I'm not sure, yet. But, yeah. Her blood was so tempting. I need to go." He answers.
"Would you like for me to watch over?" I ask.
"Both eyes." He answers. I knew what he meant. "Oh, and make sure Rosalie doesn't do anything. I don't want Willow to know anything before Carlisle can talk to her."
I nod. Protecting Willow is our priority now. At least until she finds out.
