~Willow's POV~
Waking up in Carlisle's arms in the best part of my day. Well, one of many, of course. Stretching, he slowly pulls away so I could get up. Pecking his lips, I took a shower to help wake up and relax my muscles from yesterday. Getting dressed, I happily ate the tasty waffle breakfast that was made for me. But I couldn't get over how silent everyone was.
"Is something wrong?" I ask aloud.
"Why would something be wrong?" Emmett asks back, which made me feel suspicious.
"Because you all are really quiet. More than normal." I answered.
"Nothing. It's just...we haven't hunted yet and we're just hungry." Carlisle answers.
"Why didn't you go hunt? You should have said something." I said exasperated and concerned.
"We are. Since it's going to be sunny today, I'm taking the family to go hunt. So I won't be at work today." Carlisle replies.
"Oh. Do you know how long you'll be?" I ask.
"Not quite sure. But, we will be back before you shift is over. I promise." Carlisle answers, wrapping his arms around my waist.
Hugging back, they all hugged me before it was time for school. For some reason, I had this feeling that something bad was going to happen. Before I got in my car, I turned to them.
"Do I tell people the excuse you always use? Family camping trip?" I ask. The kids all slightly tense, but I pretended to not notice.
"Yes. I already called the school and work about us. Just have a nice day, beautiful." Carlisle answers, giving me a quick kiss.
Smiling, I got in my car and drove away. When I got to school, I park in my spot and wave at Angela before going to class. Time sure does fly, but I wished it wasn't sunny so my kids could be here. I almost felt lonely.
"Hey, are you okay?" I snap out of my thoughts hearing Angela talking to me.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I answer her.
"Are you sure? You seem off. And where are the Cullen's?" She asks.
"Family camping. It's been long overdue." I answer with a smile before sitting at the table that I always sit at. Using my headphones, I just sketch to pass the time.
Once school was over, I ignored Bella after last night's drama and just went to work. Finally arriving at the hospital, I grabbed my duffle bag and went inside. Waving to my coworkers, I changed into my scrubs then got to work. Only a few people showed up feeling sick due to the weather, they were the only patients we had. Well, besides a few vehicle crash injuries that came in from out of town then transferred to Seattle hospital. After a long-standing shift, I clock out and head to my car. But as I open the door, my phone rings.
"Hello?" I answer, connecting the call.
"Willow, thank god. I've been calling for you almost an hour." Charlie spoke, distraught.
"I'm sorry. I had it on vibrate and in my office, there were a few crash injuries I had to take care of. What's wrong?" I reply.
"Bella's missing." He says.
"What do you mean? She was perfectly fine after school." I reply.
"Her truck is here at the house, her phone and bag still here, but she's not. Please tell me you've seen her?" Charlie asks.
"I haven't. But I'm on my way." I answer before disconnecting the call and getting in my car.
As I drove, I called Carlisle. But since he was deep in the forest, he didn't have service so I left a message.
"Carlisle, I might be late getting back home. Charlie called saying that Bella is missing. I'm headed over to calm him down and help out as best I could. Call me back when you get this." I said in the message before ending it and pulling up to the house.
There were a lot of cruisers, practically all of Charlie's deputies from the station. And I also saw Uncle Billy, Harry and Jacob. Rushing over, I hugged Charlie as he gave his deputies orders.
"So, what happened?" I ask.
"According to Charlie, Bella left a note saying she went with Edward into the forest. She hasn't come back or been heard from since school ended." Jacob answers.
"That doesn't make sense. I mean, I saw her at school, she was perfectly fine. But, Edward should have been camping with the family today. I don't understand." I said, frantic.
"It's okay, Willow. We'll find her." Jacob replies, pulling me into a hug.
"Didn't you hear, Charlie? The Cullen's left town." I heard Billy say which made me freeze.
"What?!" I thought.
"Charlie!" Jacob said loud which caught our attention.
Sam Uley was walking out of the forest carrying Bella. Rushing over, Charlie took her in his arms and went inside. Glancing back, I saw Sam and Jacob giving each other a stare so intense you could cut it with a knife. Getting Jacob's attention, I waved to Sam before walking Jacob back to Billy. Sneaking up the stairs, I listen to Charlie talking to Bella.
"Why were you out in the woods, Bella? What happened?" I hear Charlie ask.
"He's gone." I hear Bella whimper. "He left me. They all did. They're gone, Dad."
Hearing that, I felt like I was having one of my panic attacks. They couldn't be gone. Rushing back outside, I ignore Billy and Jacob trying to stop me and just drove off. Speeding through the back roads, I finally pulled up to the Cullen house. After closing my car door, I used my key and entered the house and what I saw made me freeze. The furniture was covered in white sheets to prevent dust build up. The bedroom doors were wide open, unlike this morning, and they were just cleared out. All of their stuff was gone. Shaking, I managed to go to my room. But when I entered, there were boxes just stacked in the room. Tears ran down my cheeks, I couldn't believe it. They really are gone. Curling on the floor, I grabbed Carlisle's pillow and cried into it. They were gone and they didn't even say goodbye to me. They just up and left. Why wouldn't they tell me? Did they hate me?
"We don't hate you, mom." I heard Edward's voice.
Lifting my head up, I sniffled as I took in my surroundings. Everyone was standing in my room. They all looked at me with sad and guilt-full expressions.
"You were gone." I whisper the best I could. My voice hurt.
"No, we weren't." Carlisle replies softly.
"You were gone." I spoke louder, angrier. Clutching the pillow harder, I did my best not to glare. "I heard Billy. He said you guys were leaving town. The house...you packed it all up. We're you really going to leave me?"
"No." Rosalie says. The kids all shook their heads at me.
"Then why? Just tell me what's going on?" I pleaded.
Carlisle sat next to me and pulled me to sit in between his legs. "After the incident last night, Edward and I came together with the plan we made to protect our family. If anything were to cause us trouble here in Forks, we had a safe house deeper in the forest that we'd live in. And seeing how Bella has been acting, Edward wanted to go visit Trinity but didn't want us to leave you. We were going to pack up most of our stuff and take it to the new house then when you got off work we'd tell you. But Edward didn't count on Bella following him and getting lost in the woods on purpose. I am so sorry you had to find out like this, my love." He says to me calmly.
"You weren't going to leave?" I ask sad while clutching his shirt.
"No." He answers.
"So, what exactly happens now?" I ask.
"Well, we can pack up your stuff and move it to the other house. Emmett and Rosalie were going to get their diplomas tomorrow and go on a quick trip to relax from Bella's drama. Alice, Jasper and I are staying here for you." Carlisle answers.
Unable to control myself, I started to cry again, I just laid my head on his chest as he held me. Letting me calm down, I wiped my tears and looked up.
"We can start now." I said.
"Are you sure, mom?" Alice asks. I nod.
Helping me up, Carlisle holds me as Alice and Rosalie sort the boxes from my clothes to my other belongings. They helped sort it with Emmett and Jasper as Edward hugged me.
"I'm so sorry, mom. This isn't how we planned this." Edward says to me.
"It's alright. Everything doesn't always go our way. We can't help it." I reply. "Just, gather your things and go see Trinity. Go and take her on a trip. Just spend time with her and don't worry about Bella."
"Are you sure?" He asks.
"Yes." I answer with a smile.
Letting go, I give him my blessings before he flashed out of the house. Once my clothes were all packed, and all of my belongings were properly packed, I was then lifted up into Carlisle's arms then walked out of the house.
"Is this everything? What about your stuff?" I ask.
"About that, I'm sorry, Willow. I lied. We didn't actually go hunting. We spent the day packing our stuff and taking it to the new house. I didn't want to lie, but the plan didn't go the way we had hoped." Carlisle answers.
"It's okay. I'm not mad." I say to him, clinging to him harder.
Before I knew it, he had flashed us away from the house and through the forest. When he stops, I lift my head up to see a pretty two story cabin. It was nice and secluded, but yet mesmerizing.
"We can give you the tour tomorrow. Would you mind if I let you rest for the night?" Carlisle spoke.
"I don't mind. You are my private physician after all." I reply, giggly and tired.
Hearing footsteps on wood, I just close my eyes as Carlisle walked through the house and brought us to our new room. Feeling myself being laid on a nice soft bed, then cuddle in Carlisle's arms.
"Are you okay, beautiful?" He whispers.
"Honestly. No. I actually thought you all were going to just leave. I'm mostly mad at myself, for doubting you and the family's love for me. I'm sorry." I whisper back.
"It's okay. You had the right to doubt. You're only human, Willow. None of us blame you." Carlisle whispers, holding me close.
"That's just it, Carlisle." I say softly, leaning up a bit. "I'm human."
"What's your thought, Willow?" Carlisle asks. I took a deep breath.
"I don't want anything to come between us again, Carlisle. In fact, we can totally discuss this at a later time, but I want to tell you this." I pause to take another breath. "I want to turn. To be with you."
As I stayed silent after my confession, Carlisle's eyes widen because of it.
"Now, I know it's really sudden to bring this up. But I just wanted to let you know. I know my powers brought me back to life, but who knows what else I am really capable of. I just want to know that I will be with you forever." I added.
Pulling me back into his arms, Carlisle placed kisses all over my face before reaching my lips.
"You are an amazing young girl, Willow, and I absolutely love that about you. But you are right. This can be discussed at a later time. For now, just get some sleep and we'll bring it up in the morning or at a later time." Carlisle replies to me.
Nodding my head, I just snuggle into his chest and let the stress from today leave my body. I couldn't help but feel really happy. Carlisle and the kids weren't really leaving. And Carlisle didn't protest about my confession. Which could only mean he felt the same way. Letting sleep consume me, Scarlet and I both slept peacefully as we cleared our minds to avoid pointless dreams.
What I didn't know, was how Bella was going to act for the next few months.
