~Willow's POV~
The sun shined through my skylights, waking me up before my alarm, as usual.
Stretching my arms, I hear a knock at my door.
"Morning, kiddo. Sleep well?" Charlie asks.
"Yeah, I did. Thanks for asking, Dad." I answer.
"Breakfast is ready. I managed to not burn the waffles this time." He chuckles.
"You can't cook to save your life, but it amazes me you can make waffles." I giggle.
"Very funny. You're lucky that your strawberries are ripe. I collected them last night, just like you taught me. They're washed and ready for you in the kitchen sink." He replies.
"Yes! I'll be down in a sec." I say getting up and getting ready.
After a quick shower, I get dressed.
(Necklace above^)
Adjusting my necklace around my neck, I reach the bottom of the stairs to see a beautiful marvel of waffles plated with strawberries on the side. And to top it off, my water bottle full of Dr. Pepper.
"So, I was just wanting to check. You remember that Bella is coming today? We pick her up from the airport." Dad says.
"Yeah, I remember." I reply smiling.
Dad mentioned this to me a while back, and it makes me sad every time. His ex-wife, Renee had gotten married again to a baseball player, Phil. Bella is Charlie's blood daughter as I am adopted, but we were never really close. We stayed on our devices, but managed to get along with some awesome multiplayer games. There are some differences, but sometimes she just doesn't like me.
Like when I went to visit her and Renee in Phoenix a couple of years ago. Renee became a mother that I never had, along with Sue Clearwater.
"You had me tell the school that I would be out today." I tell Dad while cutting into my food.
"Okay, just wanted to check again. You are a little forgetful." Dad replies.
"Dad. I know you're teasing. I got better at it years ago." I said to him before taking a bite.
"Kidding. You know that I love you." He replies.
"I know, Dad. I know." I said sweetly as I finish my breakfast.
After we ate, I grabbed my go bag and followed Dad to his car.
"Are you sure you want to ride in the cruiser? We could take your car?" Dad asks.
"It's fine, Dad. Some teens might not be comfortable with riding in a cop car, but that's just cause they are big fat wimps. Before I got my car, I used to use it to my advantage. Besides, I love the cruiser." I answer, proud.
"Use it how?" He asks, raising his eyebrow.
"Whenever a guy would try to flirt with me or look at me like they want to bang me, I would remind him that my 'Dad' just left, in his cruiser, and taught me how to shoot a gun." I explain, a smirk right across my face.
"That's my girl." Dad compliments before getting in.
Climbing into shotgun, we make our way to Seattle. After an hour of standing, I gave up and went back to sitting in the front seat of Dads cruiser.
"Bella." Dad calls out.
Snapping out of my book on Wattpad, I see a familiar brunette walking out of the airport. I wave from the window as Dad side hugs Bella. She never was affectionate.
"Willow? Is that you?" She asks, finally seeing me in the cruiser.
"Hey, Bella." I greet her.
"You look good. New hairstyle?" She asks.
"Just highlights, brings out my natural red." I answer/lie.
Ever since my 10th birthday, my hair faded from a normal brown to a reddish brown. Sometimes, it would look like I was a redhead. I had concluded it was a part of my powers.
That's right. I said, powers. It all started when I turned 10. But I'll get to that later, right now we have to get Bella home.
"You're hairs longer." Dad says.
"I cut it since last time." Bella replies.
"Guess it grew out again." Dad says, the tension could be cut with a knife.
I was afraid of saying something that might cause a bad reaction to the tension. The drive was shorter, this time. We finally arrived at our home. While I unlocked the door, Dad helps Bella with her bags.
"Who's car?" Bella asks.
"Mine."
"Willow's." Dad and I say at once.
Bella looked down, for some reason I could feel jealousy coming off of her. But I didn't question it. Still working on my art assignment, I left Bella and Dad and went to my room.
~Third POV~
When Bella noticed Willow had went to her room, she turns to Dad when they enter her room.
"How long as Willow been driving? She's only a year younger than me." Bella asks.
True. Since Bella is 17, Willow is 16. It's been almost 16 years today when Charlie found her that night that changed her life forever.
"On her 16th birthday, it was a gift from the entire station. They all took a liking to Willow growing up. They all wanted her to experience every teenage experience as possible. Some of the folks down at the Reservation even pitched in. I've been teaching her to drive since she was 15, and she's been driving since she turned 16." Charlie answers.
"Really? I didn't expect her to get a car before me." Bella chuckles lowly.
"Yeah, well, my little girl is growing up. A little too fast for my liking. But, I don't let it bother me. I'll let you unpack. Willow will most likely be working on homework till dinner." Charlie replies before leaving Bella alone.
Bella sat down on her bed and took it all in. But didn't know what to think about Willow. They used to be good friends, until her first visit in Phoenix, she then began to feel threatened. Renee would spend more time with Willow as they bonded over girly things like their nails and hair.
Bella didn't join because she never liked doing stuff like that, but she wanted to spend time with them both. Willow didn't say anything, but knew she felt she was getting distant with Bella over the years.
~Willow's POV~
Finally finished with my art assignment, I sent a quick pic to two of my best friends ever. Jasper and Alice.
I wanted to make the wolf a russet brown, but sadly I didn't get the right color. So I went with set of white and grey. The assignment was to draw an example of a mix: supernatural and your own imagination. I chose a beautiful forest for my imagination due to my love of nature and most importantly privacy. The wolf came to me in a dream. It was a russet brown wolf, it walks out of the forest slowly like it was approaching me. As it stood proudly on it's four legs, it then got down on it's stomach, giving off a non-threatening vibe.
Honk
Honk
Nearly dropping my phone, I exhale before walking to my window. I smile when I see a familiar truck with two visitors talking to Charlie in the driveway. Running downstairs, I rush out the door with Bella walking behind me.
"Jake!" I shout happy as I jump onto his back. His arms immediately grab my legs as I hug him.
"Willow! Can't you hug me like a normal person?" He teases.
"What if I don't like normal?" I tease back as I get off and hug him properly.
"Good to see you, Willow." Billy says rolling up.
"Nice to see you as well, Billy." I reply.
"Bella, you remember Billy Black." Dad says, leaning against the truck.
"Yeah. Hey, you looking great." Bella replied.
"Well I'm still dancing. I'm glad you're finally here. Charlie here hasn't shut up about it since you told him you were coming." Billy said, teasing.
"All right, keep exaggerating, I'll roll you into the mud." Dad replied, rolling his eyes.
"After I ram you in the ankles." Billy says as he starts chasing after Dad.
"Yeah, bring it." Dad replies, putting up his fists, and play punches.
"Bella, this is Jacob. We used to play together when we were kids." I say to her. But it looked like she was having trouble remembering.
"We used to make mudpies... Willow would then help us clean up and treat us to chocolate covered strawberries for us playing outside like kids are supposed to." Jacob adds.
"Right, now I remember." Bella looks at Dad horsing around. "Are they always like this?"
"It gets worse with old age." Jacob answers.
"I find their humor hi-larious, and it's always fun to watch them mess around." I scold him, playfully pouting.
"What do you mean?" Bella asks confused.
"I mean, if they can horse around like this no matter how old they are or if their in public, it only means how close they are." I explain as Charlie pats Billy's shoulder, they were laughing.
"I guess I never thought of that." Jacob replies.
"Me too." Bella replies after.
"It's ok. You'll learn." I tease them. They playfully push my shoulders as Charlie and Billy join us again.
"So, what do you think?" Charlie asks.
"What?" Bella asks back.
"Your homecoming present." Charlie answers.
"This?" Bella asks shocked.
"Just bought it off Billy here." Charliesays first.
"Yeah." Billy replies after.
"I totally rebuilt the engine- OW!" Jacob states, only to be smacked by me. "My bad, we rebuilt the engine."
"Really?" Bella asks surprised.
"Yeah. I may not know as much as Jake, but I still helped." I answer.
"Oh my gosh! This is.. this is perfect." Bella said thrilled. She opened the door, only to hit Jake with it. "Oh, sorry." She says as she gets in, Jake follows. I lean in through the driver side window.
"So, you gotta double pump the clutch when you shift," Jacob starts.
"That's this one right?" Bella asks.
"Yes." I answer.
"Besides that, you should be good." Jacob says.
"If you should have any problems, just let me know and I'll get Jake to give me a hand." I reply to her.
"All right. So, wanna ride to school or something?" Bella asks.
"Oh, Bella." I say regretfully, she looks at me, "Jake goes to the school on the reservation."
"Oh, right. That's too bad. Besides Willow, it would have been nice to know someone." Bella replies.
Billy and Jacob stayed for a bit, but then they had to leave. Going back to my room, I check to see if my paint was dry yet. Hearing a ding from my phone, I pick it from my bed and see it was a reply.

|end of texting|
Putting my phone in my back pocket, I put on my Bluetooth headphones and turn on my playlist as I gather ingredients for dinner. After I make dinner, Charlie and Bella thanked me for it being delicious. Changing, I fell asleep once my head hit my pillow.
~The Next Day~
Finally dressed, I go downstairs and got started on breakfast. A small stack of silver dollar pancakes with a fruit salad.
"Looks amazing as always, Willow." Dad says sitting down. I place a fresh cup of coffee in front of him as he dug in.
"What's amazing?" Bella asks, coming downstairs.
"Glad you could join us. I was afraid I'd have to wake you up. Breakfast is ready." I say motioning the table.
She sat down and dug in. I could tell she was nervous, but once she took her first bite, she was in heaven.
"This is amazing." She says, before taking another bite.
"I am a natural in the kitchen. Sue taught me everything I know." I reply finished fixing my drink before sitting down.
"Sue?" Bella asks.
"Sue Clearwater." I answer. "She took the role of my mom when she and Harry came over and found Charlie with me. So, whenever Charlie needed help or needed a babysitter while working or fishing, Sue and Billy happily offered their services."
"Really? I didn't know Sue knew Mom." Bella said.
"You mean Renee?" I ask. Bella nods.
"Oh. I thought I mentioned Sue to Renee one of the last times I was in Phoenix. Maybe I forgot." I say, mostly to myself before finishing my food then grabbing my bag.
With my bag on my shoulder, I take Bella's and Dad plates then put them in the sink to do them later. Saying goodbye to Dad, Bella and I head to our cars.
Leading Bella to school, knowing she didn't know where to go. My mind began to wonder. I knew I was forgetting to do something.
Oh, right. I forgot that I was going to talk about my powers. Whoops, sorry. Ok, so let me start from the beginning. It all started when I was 10. The night of my 10th birthday I had a nightmare. I saw a man with a curved horn helmet with a scepter, *cough* Loki *cough*. He was about to kill me but when he blasted me the blast just phased into my body. But before anything else happened, I just woke up. I tried to calm my heart down and take a breath, but I felt like I couldn't breathe. Soon, I felt my eyes burning. I walked in front of my mirror and saw that they were glowing a bright red.
Screaming from fright, my hands shook, then the mirror broke. The whole house shook, causing Charlie to wake up. He burst into my room worried about me. I had managed to calm down and tell him I was fine. The day after my birthday, I noticed that my hair began to change. It was slightly longer, but what really shocked me was the color. It changed from brown to a reddish brown. You could almost consider me a redhead. But it wasn't like any normal ginger, that's for sure.
Anyway, back to my powers. Whenever I would concentrate hard enough, I found that I could make objects float. It scared me at first, but I learned to control it. When I hit 13, I found that I have the ability to make someone see their worst fear. It was a total accident. Billy promised to not tell Dad as I told him everything.
More years passed and I had full control of my powers. Along the way, I met some friends who were just like me. My best friend, Trinity, and I got along right off the bat. When they were in trouble, I helped them as we saved the world. But, I didn't tell anyone I was involved. Trinity's Dad helped me keep my identity a secret so I could have a normal life.
Pulling into the school lot, I cringed when Bella's truck... 'farted'. Is that the meaning? Anyway, I got out of my car and heard a whistle. Turning around, I saw Alice and Jasper and their siblings. I smile then give them my pointer finger, meaning I needed a minute.
"Hey, Bella. Some friends of mine want to go over our assignments since it's our first class. Will you be okay getting around? I want to make sure you'll be okay on your own." I ask her as she walked around her truck.
"Oh, yeah. It's fine." She answers.
"Are you sure? Cause this school is a little bigger than it looks." I say to her.
"I'm sure. I've got your number in case I need you. I'll just go look around, try to find my way. I can do this." She replies.
"Okay. Just send me a text if you're lost. I'll reply as fast as possible." I say to her before taking a step back.
"It's fine. I promise." She assures me. Nodding to her, I quickly take my sketchpad from my back seat and walk over to my best friends.
"Hey, Pixie." I say to her.
"Hey, Canopy." Pixie greets me with a hug. Hugging back, I then get one from Jasper.
"Morning, darlin'." He greets before letting go.
"So. Want to go over our sketches?" I ask as then immediately pulled out theirs.
Alice drew a girl in a simple white, but also appropriate, goddess styled dress. She was standing on a cliff side, the ocean was below, waves splashing. Behind the girl was the forest. The colors were so prompt and realistic. Jasper drew a black silhouette of a boy walking with a horse in a field with a sunset. The boy and horse were black while the field and sunset were the only colors.
"They are beautiful. We are definitely getting A's." I tell them.
"You as well. It's amazing." Rosalie replies, standing next to Jasper, Emmett by her side.
"Yeah. You did an amazing job with the wolf." Emmett adds.
"Thanks." I say to him, then heard the bell. "Crap! We better get going before we're late." Alice giggled happily took my hand and walks with me.
In class, our teacher walks by each student and graded the sketchpad. Alice, Jasper and I got A's. Without a doubt. Sadly the class ended right when I got an idea for my next sketch. Waving goodbye to Alice and Jasper, my next classes thankfully had Rosalie, then Emmett.
You want to know something weird. Rosalie never had talked to me much when Alice and Jasper had started. I thought she disliked me at first. But then after a few months, she started joining in our conversations. Emmett was proud of her, but I never knew why she was so hesitant to talk to me. It was like she was afraid. Now for the last of their siblings--
"Hello, Willow." I was startled as I turned my head to see just the boy I was thinking about.
Edward.
"Hello, Edward." I reply. "How are you?"
"Good. But I wanted to ask you something." He says.
"Of course. Something wrong?" I ask.
"No." He answers. "I was just wondering who about that girl you were talking to before first period."
"Oh. You mean Bella. Shes my sister. In a way." I answer him.
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"Well. We're not blood sisters. But I live with her biological Dad. He adopted me when I was just a few days old. Bella and I used to be close, but we were still distant at times." I explain.
"Do you two get along?" Edward asks.
"Yeah. I mean. A long time ago when Bella was sad about leaving me to go back to Phoenix, she begged Renee to let me visit. When I was young, I was considered a tomboy and a girly girl. I liked to show myself off a little, but still have some cover. Bella didn't like doing girly things, so it was mostly me and Renee hanging out until Bella and I would stay up playing games and watch movies." I explain.
"Oh." Is all Edward says.
"Is something wrong?" I ask.
"No." He answers. "I've just heard a bunch of people talking about her and I was tired of listening."
"And you wanted to know if any of it was true?" I ask him.
"Yes." He answers.
"It's ok. I don't blame you. This town sucks on courtesy and keeping their mouths shut." I reply closing my locker.
"Happy for lunch?" Edward asks.
"Yes." I answer. "I'm starving."
Edward chuckles, as he walks me over to his siblings. We walk around the school to go in through another door. Now, as I was saying earlier, Edward... is the last of the Cullen siblings. As Alice, Jasper and Edward are juniors, Emmett, Rosalie and I are seniors. With approval from Charlie, I managed to take some tests and skip a grade so I could graduate early and go to college. As normal teenagers worry about getting accepted into college, I worry about my youth while in college. I wanted to be as young as possible so I could get the classes I want without anything interfering.
And now, all I have to do is graduate, take the summer to relax and get some things in order, and finally see if the University of Seattle accepts me. After every school year, I get my transcripts of my classes and grades and filed them. Senior Year is my last one to send to U.S., University of Seattle.
As we reach the door, Rosalie and Emmett were the first ones to enter. Followed by Alice and Jasper. Then finally Edward happily held the door open for me, like a true gentleman. Looking around, as usual, everyone stares at me with the Cullens.
Ever since they moved here then started talking to me, everyone would stare and sometimes glare, at me. Girls were envious of me for talking and being friends with them, while guys were jealous that I would rather hang with the Cullens then sleep with them. Boys. Such pervs.
Whenever I needed help, Emmett, Jasper and Edward would happily step up and protect me. I was really thankful for them. It's like we're a family.
~Alice's POV~
When we entered the cafeteria, Jessica Stanley a.k.a. the towns biggest gossip was informing the 'new girl' a.k.a. Willow's not-blood-sister, Bella, about us. When they said that Jasper is the 'blonde boy who looks like he's in pain', I happily took his arm and calmed him down.
When Edward walked in with Willow, I didn't need to be Jasper to feel their hormones. Human boys need to learn to back off. Willow doesn't deserve them, but little did she know that she was family to us.
~Willow's POV~
Sitting down with the Cullen's, I saw Edward was staring at Bella.
"Edward?" I gently tap his arm, he looks at me. "Is something wrong?"
"Everything's fine." He answers.
"You know you can't lie to me. Something's bothering you." I say to him, concerned.
"It's just... Bella." He replies.
"Having trouble 'reading her'?" I ask, slightly teasing.
"Yes." He answers, down.
"It's fine. I'm sure you'll read her soon enough." I joke with him, making him smile.
~Edward's POV~
"Having trouble reading her?" Willow asks, teasing.
"Yes." I answer, pretending to be sad.
"It's fine. I'm sure you'll read her soon enough." She jokes, which makes me laugh.
As she eats, I couldn't help but wonder if she really knew. That I could read minds. As of today, there are now only two people whose mind I cannot read. Bella's... and Willow's.
If you were wondering, it's an inside joke between us. Willow would 'mysteriously' be able to calm Jasper down, while I could pretend to read her mind. Going back and forth to guess what we were thinking, I would get some right and some wrong, to mess with her and to make up for not really being able to read her. She likes it, so I didn't mind. The reason she is able to calm Jasper down, is because of a vision Alice had ever since she came into our lives.
~Willow's POV~
Lunch ended, and soon enough, school did as well. Putting my bag in the back seat, I put my phone and wallet up in the cupholder. Out of nowhere, I felt someone's hands on my waist.
I scream, but before I was about to use my powers I calm down to see it was Emmett.
"EMMETT! DON'T DO THAT!" I scold him as I put a hand on my heart.
"Sorry, Will-bear. I didn't mean to make you scream." Emmett said, sad.
"Emmy. It's ok. Come here." I hug him. He hugs me back, he felt happier.
"I really am sorry." He whispers, seriously guilty.
"Emmy, it's ok. I'm fine." I tell him pulling away. "See. I'm right here. Alive. No harm down."
He chuckled before pulling me over to the others. Hugging Rosalie, I turn to hear a car door slam shut. Seeing that it was Bella, she just drove off.
"Edward." I say, getting his attention. "Did something happen?"
"What? Why would you ask that?!" He asks back, almost shouting. It was hard to tell if he was angry or defensive.
"Whoa, whoa, take a breath, please. I am not accusing. I am simply asking since you're the only one who has that class." I explain calmly, his shoulder's sunk.
"I'm sorry, Mom." He says, apologetically. "Do you know what kind of shampoo or perfume she uses?"
"No perfume as far as I know. And she uses this Camelio Oil shampoo, which I think is disgusting and damages hair." I answer, feeling my phone vibrate.
"It's Charlie. He's on lunch and wants to meet at the diner." I froze then blinked. "I'm sorry, but did you just call me mom?"
They all froze, but then Edward swiftly pulls me into a hug.
"Sorry, Willow. Emmett dared me to do it. I hope you didn't mind." Edward whispers to me.
"Oh. Well, I of all people know about his 'dares', so I understand. And I don't mind at all. You guys are more than just my best friends." Pulling away, I smile at him and Emmett. "Now sadly, I got to go." I inform them.
"We wouldn't want you to be late. We'll talk to you later." Alice replies.
"I'll talk to you all later." I said before going to my car.
Turning the engine on, I swiftly drove out of the parking lot and towards the diner.
