Previously On His Wicket:
Why does this Keep Happening to me?

Aditi's POV
With my brain deep in thought, I left toward the hotel.
"Yeah, Aditi? She was easy-" I heard a voice speak.
Aryan...
What-!?
I flattened myself behind a wall so that I could overhear the conversation. I heard the clicking of heels and knew who it was. Suhana.
"Well, you got that photography scum, I still haven't got my Shubman." Suhana snorted.
"Patience little sis," Aryan chuckled. "He's still in love with Aditi."
"Besides, why do you even like her?" Suhana scoffed.
"She's interesting," Aryan responded.
"Bet she's just one of your playthings and that you'll dump her a month from now." Suhana chuckled darkly.
"Maybe," Aryan responded. My temper flared, I stepped out hiding.
"A plaything?" I asked with fake disappointment. Aryan whirled around with a face filled with shock.
"Shit." I heard him curse under his breath. I turned around and marched away toward my hotel room.
"Aditi!" I heard Aryan call out, I promptly sped up and rushed inside the closing elevator. I sniffled and wiped away a tear.
"Aditi?" I heard a familiar voice, I whipped my head around and saw Shubman. I broke down sobbing.
This always happens to me!
First Shubman and now Aryan!
Shubman cradled me and murmured comforting words into my ear. I sniffled and looked at him with tear-stained eyes.
"Hey." He kissed my forehead. "I'm right here for you."
"You were right." I sniffed and he chuckled.
"He's a jerk, and doesn't deserve you," Shubman grunted. He leaned toward me, my heart skipped a beat. My eyes closed. I could hear his steady breathing.
Ding!
DK stood there awkwardly, he cleared his throat. "I'll just take the stairs..."
I shoved past the two of them and went inside my room.
Oh shit... I'm falling for him all over again!
I heard a knock on my door, I was determined not to open it.
"Aditi?" Shubman's voice came from outside.
"Can I talk to you?" He continued, I kept quiet.
"Aditi, please?" He tried once more, I opened the door and stuck my head out.
"What do you want?" I asked harshly, he winced. He caressed my cheek.
"Do you want me to be honest?" He smiled.
"I want you." He told with a dead-serious expression.
"What-" I stuttered, he laughed.
"Can I come in?" He raised a single eyebrow, I grunted in agreement and let him inside. The moment the door closed, he captured my lips and pushed me against the wall. I blinked once or twice, unable to believe the speed he moved in. I felt myself relaxing in his grip. I wrapped my arms around his neck, he smiled into the kiss.
Every time I'd kissed Aryan, I didn't feel the same spark. Shubman's hand drew circles on my back.
"I've been waiting forever to do that." He breathed when we broke apart. I rested my head on his chest, I heard his heart skip a beat.
"That felt so..." I couldn't find the words to finish the sentence.
"Right." Shubman finished the sentence for me.
"Yeah..." I smiled and looked at him.
"Forever?" He murmured into my ear.
"Forever."

Fairytales...
We all grew up hearing about ancient kings and queens. Sometimes a few fables and fairy tales wormed their way into the bedtime stories.
"Papa, Mumma says life isn't like a fairy-tale," A young girl with chubby cheeks and silky black hair. A middle-aged man chuckled and pinched her cheeks.
"It is." The middle-aged man, who was named Arun, confirmed.
"Then... Is there a prince for me?" The little girl's eyes widened with wonder.
"Depends, if I like him-" The man frowned and pondered, but he heard a soft snore next to him.
"But you certainly have a prince, Shivani."

Dipti Reddy, a cricket groundskeeper. You're an average shy girl. Doesn't talk with too many people.

"Woman, you're driving me nuts." A man with soulful dark brown eyes and black hair, that in the light seemed a dark shade of brown. He wrapped an arm a woman, which drew a gasp from her.
"Is it wrong that I want to kiss you?" He raised an eyebrow, the girl flushed with embarrassment.
"Um... I-" She stuttered unable to come up with a response. He leaned toward her, the stuttering immediately stopped and so did her breath.
"May I?" He asked in a mannered tone, the girl opened and closed her mouth, unable to speak. She managed to squeak something out that sounded like 'yes.'
Or that's what KL Rahul thought it was.
He captured her lips and traced her cheekbones with his thumb. The girl relaxed in his grasp. The moment they broke apart, KL involuntarily leaned forward to kiss her again. The girl was breathless. KL let his fingertips brush the edge of her mask, the mask that hid her true identity. He retracted his hand and took off his mask.
"Hello," He smirked, there was a gasp from the girl. Her phone pinged in her pocket.
"I... uhm... I have to go-" The girl stuttered and pulled away.
"What?" KL was momentarily confused and realized that she was bolting for the exit. When he regained his senses, she was long gone.
"She didn't even leave me a glass slipper," KL whispered, partly annoyed with himself and partly annoyed with her running from him.
Oh... Good Luck finding her KL Rahul...
