Third Person POV:
A girl with chesnut brown hair that was curled beautifully laid on the hospital bed. She'd been admitted here a little over an hour ago. Her body had shut down because of the lack of nutrition. A young handsome man was sitting on a chair next to the bed. His eyes were tired and pained as he watched the girl. He had eyebags under his eyes an obvious indicator that he was here just for her. The man had arrived in a matter of seconds after the girl was admitted into the hospital.
She might have broken his heart. But she still had it with her.
"Aditi." The man rasped out, he was using his voice for the first time in an hour. His throat was dry as a desert. He gulped down a sip of water before attempting to talk to the unconscious girl once again. But the words died in his throat and he walked out of the room. A small gang of similarly built men were outside waiting for him.
"Do you want us to mention that you visited her?" The male doctor, Dr.Kumar asked. Kumar's voice held a tinge of empathy for the poor heartsick young man.
"No. I would prefer is she wouldn't know." Shubman sighed and ran a shaky hand through his hair.
"After all, it was her wish for me to disappear out her life." He said this in quieter voice, he turned around to look at the hospital room and had a look of longing. He tore his eyes away and walked out of the hospital. At the same moment, Aditi stirred from her unconscious state. The doctor and a nurse rushed inside to find a very pale and tired, but awake Aditi.
"Well, hello there." the doctor smiled warmly, he felt a twinge of protectiveness toward Aditi. She was around the age of his daughter, he would have died in the inside if his daughter was in the hospital at the same state as Aditi.
"Did I have any visitor's?" Aditi's mesmerizing brown eyes widened, there was a flicker of hope in them.
"Just one." The doctor shook his head, what Shubman told him echoed inside him head.
"Who?" Aditi's hopes were soaring in the sky by now.
"A man." Dr.Kumar bit his tongue, because he knew that she would soon be disappointed.
"He's waiting outside, should I let him in?" The nurse pipped in, Aditi nodded almost immediately. A tall, tanned man appeared in the doorway. His eyes were drooping and threatening to close and fall victim to sleep.
"Oh," Aditi's voice was bitter with disenchantment.
"Why do you seem so down with me?" The man chuckled, he grabbed the chair and dragged it to bed-side.
"I just expected someone else Ash." Aditi turned in the bed and faced the window. The doctor and nurse felt like they were intruding. They silently slipped out of the room.
"He's hurt." Ash sighed softly. "Broken would be a more appropriate word."
Aditi wouldn't meet Ash's coal colored eyes. She knew she was responsible for that.
"Is it true?" Aditi's bottom lip quivered.
"Did... did he really try to-" Aditi's voice cracked with pain.
"Yeah..." Ash was the one who looked away this time.
"He's crazy about you." Ash smiled weakly. "Aditi this, Aditi that... Aditi blah blah.."
"He hasn't spoke with anyone except Virat." Ash's voice was pained as he spoke.
"Just drop this stupid act and go back to him." Ash cleared his throat trying to swallow the lump in his throat.
"It's like someone isn't letting him breathe Aditi." Ash continued his depressing talk, Aditi sank lower into the bed.
"He needs you." Ash focused his coal black eyes on Aditi. Aditi's upspoken words were in the air, I need him too. Ash's phone screen lit up, he picked it up and looked at whatever message he received. He stood up and pushed the chair away.
"Think about it." Ash grunted and slipped on his jacket.
"I can see right through your act, Aditi." Ash spoke without looking behind him and closed the door behind him. A lone tear slipped down Aditi's cheek. There was a knock on the door, Aditi lifted her head up feebly to see who it was. Her beautiful brown eyes became the color of frozen blackberries when they saw who it was.
"What do you want?" She spat at the elderly woman at the doorway.
"You didn't say that you were dating a cricketer." The grandmother's voice was surprisingly cold, one look at her eyes will send shivers down your spine.
"It was my private life." Aditi grunted and looked away from her grandmother. Dadi sighed and hobbled over to the chair where Ash sat.
"Child. Do you know what great news this is!" The grandmother smacked Aditi's forehead. Aditi pushed Dadi's 'caring' hands away from her.
"You can continue to date him, Just stay engaged to Ayush." Dadi clapped her hands, her eyes were beaming with happiness.
"What?" Aditi's face scrunched up and had a disgusted look plastered on it.
"You want me to play them!" Aditi demanded, her voice raising to an indignant level.
"Yes." Dadi's voice was calm.
"I'm not some cheap low-life like you!" The words flew out of Aditi's mouth before she could stop them.
"Or pick one." Dadi added when Aditi drew a breath to say something. Aditi paused, her brown eyes were calculating.
"Shubman." Aditi's voice was firm and a bit hopeful.
"Great!" Dadi smiled and stood up, she quickly hobbled to the door.
"Say good-bye to your precious Shubman." Dadi cackled.
"But... But-" Aditi's eyes widened when she realized that she'd been double-crossed.
"You insulted me. There's always a price when people insult me." Dadi smiled, but the smile never reached her eyes. They were cold and merciless.
"Your getting engaged tomorrow."
