Aditi's POV
I beamed when I saw the text. For some reason, I smiled plenty of times today. I kept sneaking glances at the road to make sure that I could see where I'm going. Vlad had sent me out to take a few photos of the Gabba's fans. I clicked a few good ones. My phone pinged once more.
R u busy?
I typed quickly, not right now, and sent it. I waited for the reply and kept walking. I rough and violent movement snatched me into an alleyway. It took my eyes a second to adjust to the darkness. Clutching my camera bag I did a mental headcount. Four thug-looking men. Each had a branded tattoo on their left forearm. It seemed vaguely familiar but my brain couldn't make the connection. I could probably take three. I did a mental chess game in my head and knew I wouldn't stand a chance.
"She's a pretty one." One of them chuckled. He was bald and was built like an ox.
"Too bad boss wanted her unscathed." Another replied ruefully, I gritted my teeth and tried to keep my cool.
"Touch her and you're fired." A British accent chuckled darkly. I twisted around and saw Harry. His blonde hair wasn't combed. He was wearing a biker jacket and jeans. Overall, it an awfully odd bad boy look.
"Oh, thank gods! Harry." I sighed with relief, I knew Harry as though he was my own brother. But something clicked inside my head. Harry's dad owned the London Times. The tattoo that they had was the London Times logo.
Harry sent them.
I shoved Harry away as he approached me, and I saw confusion in his eyes.
"What do you want?" I stipulated feeling as resentful as I could.
"Oh, Aditi..." He chuckled and held my hand. I jerked away from his touch and pulled my hand away. I could hear him counting under his breath. A technique he used when he was angry.
"I want you." Harry chuckled darkly.
"Moreover, I want you to break up with that Shubman fellow." Harry stretched and smirked innocently.
"Not going to happen." I looked away from Harry and feigned interest in the number of bricks there were in the wall.
"Fine! I guess we will do this the hard way" Harry sighed with irritation.
"Harry. Just let me go. I have work." I gritted my teeth and tapped my foot impatiently.
"Oh? Like meeting your boyfriend?" Harry sneered and snatched my phone. The way he said the word 'boyfriend' sounded like a taunt.
"I'll give you an option." Harry paused to take in my disgusted expression.
"Either you break-up with him willingly, or..." He allowed a tone of menace to linger at the last word.
"Or, I'll ruin your family's lives." He shrugged off my shocked expression and added.
"Your father works under mine. Your mum works under my brother..." Harry seemed delighted at how horrifying he was.
"Pity of what would happen if your sisters got caught like you did today..." Harry gleefully clapped his hands.
He's loony.
Or if you don't get it, I said that he's nuts.
"Fine." My eyes prickling with tears. My voice was hoarse with fatigue.
"That's a good girl." Harry placed a so-called comforting hand on my back. I flinched at the contact. I went to the rented house as fast as my feet could take me. I found Shubman in the living room. He had his face cradled in his arms. My heart wrenched at the thought of breaking up with him.
"Shubman?" My voice cracked but I spoke up. Shubman's ears perked up at the sound and he turned to face me. His eyes were red with anger. He took long strides toward me and did the unspeakable.
He slapped me.
"Shubman? Why...?" I touched my stinging cheek. He shoved his phone screen at my face.

"I didn't.... I never..." I felt tears streaming down my cheeks.
"Drama queen." Shubman's voice was bitter and sharp.
"To think I spent three years waiting for you!" Shubman threw his hands up in exasperation. I found something that tasted of salt. I was crying. I hadn't cried since the day my mother passed. I saw a flicker of doubt in his eyes. But he stormed out of the house. I crumpled against the wall and sobbed. Akash entered the house with a frown. The moment his eyes landed on me, he rushed to my aid.
"Hey." His voice was gentle and soft. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." I sniffled and looked away from his tender gaze.
"Even when your crying you say that your fine." Akash chuckled, I looked at him with my tear stained eyes.
"Tell me. What's wrong?" He demanded and sat down next to me. I contained the lump in my throat and told him what happened.
"That bastard." Akash growled.
"Which one?" I sighed and looked away from Akash. My phone pinged and Akash handed it to me.
It was the flight ticket that I booked.
"Your leaving?" Akash was dumbfounded, I nodded.
"Two days from now." I rested my head on my knee.
"What about Shubman... or Harry?" Akash shook me vigorously.
"I hate both of them." I sulked.
I really do hate you, Shubman Gill.
