Jameson's POV:

The doctor and nurses took Layla from us and brought her to the Emergency room while we waited in the waiting room. Drake called Layla's parents and they said that they were gonna be here when they get the next flight here. 

If I was being completely honest, I'm really nervous to meet Layla's parents. I mean c'mon, who wouldn't be? I'm meeting my girlfriend's parents and what if they don't like me and they force us to break up? 

Anyways, the doctor came to tell us that Layla was going to be okay about 30 minutes ago, and to say that I was relieved is an understatement. Layla's clumsiness is taking the best of her and I know that this is where I come in. I shouldn't have let her run off, but then again, I can't stop her, she does what she wants when she's super excited.

"Guests for Layla Emerson?" We heard a nurse say, Drake and I stood up and walked towards her.

"We're here for Layla." Drake said, the nurse gave us a kind smile and looked down at her clipboard.

"It seems that she's ready to see you, she isn't awake yet, but she's stable now." She said

"Can you show us her room?" I asked her

"Of course, this way." She said turning around, she started walking away and we followed her. She lead us to the a room and stopped in front of the door.

"Here's her room, visiting hours end at 9:00 and only one person can stay with her overnight." She told us, we both nodded our heads as she gave us a smile and walked away.

"You go ahead, I'll call her parents and tell them that she's okay." Drake said, I nodded my head and looked at the door. I took a deep breath before placing my hand on the doorknob and opened the door. I walked in and saw my Angel asleep on the hospital bed with her arm in a sling, her legs wrapped up, her head wrapped up, and her neck in a brace. 

I walked towards her and brought a chair beside her bed. I can't believe this is happening again. She's already been in the hospital 2 times since I met her, this can't keep happening. I'd do anything for me to be in the position that she's in. I held her hand and placed a kiss on it.

"I love you, Angel. Please wake up soon, your parents are gonna be here tomorrow. They're coming to see you." I said feeling the tears build up in my eyes as I stared at her beautiful face. I heard the door open again and I saw Drake walk in. He gave me a small smile and walked in closing the door behind him.

"What did her parents say?" I asked him as he sat down on the other side of Layla's bed.

"They said that they took the next flight here, they're on their way to the airport now." He said, I nodded my head and looked back at Layla. 

"You should stay the night here, I'm going to go ahead and go home in a while. I'll tell the other guys and Brooklyn about what happened." I told him, I looked up at him and gave him a small smile.

"You sure?" He asked

"Yeah, I mean what if her parents walk in and they see a stranger in their daughter's hospital room?" I told him, he chuckled and nodded his head.

"You're nervous about meeting them, aren't you?" He asked, I sighed and nodded my head. 

"Dude, you don't have anything to worry about. My aunt and uncle are very open minded people. They care about Layla very much and they care about her happiness the most, and you make Layla happy." He said

"I guess so." I said, I looked at my watch and saw that it was getting kind of late.

"Hey, I should get going, it's getting pretty late." I said, I stood up and placed a kiss on Layla's forehead.

"I'm going to leave now, but I'll be back tomorrow, Angel. I love you so much." I said, Drake stood up and gave me a bro shake and I looked back at Layla one last time not sure if I want to leave her.

"Go, dude. She'll be fine. Get some rest and she'll be awake by tomorrow and she's gonna be just fine." He assured, I looked at him and nodded my head.

"Yeah, you're right, sorry. It's just I don't feel comfortable leaving her in this condition." I said with a small smile.

"I understand, but you know Layla, she's a strong girl. She'll get through this." He said, I sighed and walked towards my Angel and placed my lips on her forehead lingering for a few seconds before pulling away.

"I love you." I whispered, I stood back up and took a deep breath.

"I'll see you tomorrow morning." I said to Drake, he nodded his head and I made my went to the door and placed my hand on the door knob. I opened the door and walked out not looking back and made my way out. I walked out and remembered that I rode with Drake, meaning that I have to walk. It's fine, the walk home isn't too far, I'll survive.

I got home in about 20 minutes and walked in the house to see that the lights were all closed. Mom probably went to sleep early today, probably tired from work. I sighed and made my way up the stairs, I didn't even have the mood to eat after what happened to Layla. I went to my room, freshened up and decided to go to bed. 

*The next day* 

I woke up the next day with my alarm blasting so loud that the whole house could hear it. I groaned and shut if off. I opened my arms remembering that I was supposed to go to the hospital....and meet Layla's parents, oh God. 

I got up and looked at the time to see that it was about 7, almost 8, in the morning. I decided to get up and get ready for the day. I decided that I was going to the bakery to get Layla's favourite chocolate cake for her. Once I finished getting ready, I grabbed my stuff that I needed and went ahead to go downstairs.

"Honey?" I heard my mom's voice say, I went to the kitchen and she was there with her head in the fridge.

"Yeah, mom?" I questioned, she took her head out of the fridge and looked at me.

"Are you leaving already?" She asked, I walked over to her and nodded my head. 

"What are you doing, Mom?" I asked her

"Just putting in some leftovers." She said, I nodded my head and looked at the clock.

"Well I better get going, Mom. I need to go see Layla." I said, she smiled and nodded her head.

"Oh please tell me that I can get to see that girl soon. I do want to meet the girl who straightened up my son." She said, I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Mom, I've always been straightened out. I was just a little wrinkled up before meeting her." I said, she smiled and kissed my cheek.

"You go on ahead, by the way, is the dear girl okay? You went home pretty late last night, is there something wrong?" She asked, I sighed and the memories of Layla falling off the stairs flashed in my head.

"She fell off the stairs last night and we had to bring her to the hospital." I explained, she gasped and placed her hand on her mouth.

"Oh gosh, is she okay?" She asked 

"The doctor said she's gonna be okay, she should be awake some time around today." I said with a smile.

"That's great, well you should get going. I'll be heading off a little while later too." She said, I nodded my head and gave her a hug.

"I love you, Mom. See you later." I said, she nodded her head and went back to what she was doing. I proceeded to make my way outside and to my car. I passed by the bakery like planned and got Layla her chocolate cake. After the bakery, I made byway to the hospital and parked my car. I got my stuff and exited my car making my way to the entrance of the hospital. 

I went to the front desk to ask if Layla was awake and it turns out she hasn't woken up yet. I sighed and made my way to her room. I knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds waiting for Drake to open the door. He opened it and greeted me with a sleepy smile.

"Good morning." He said opening the door a bit wider. I walked in and saw Layla in the shape as when I left her last night.

"Still hasn't woken up huh?" I asked Drake, he sighed and nodded his head. I placed the box with the cake inside on the table and made my way beside Layla.

"Good morning, Angel. I'm back, I miss you so much." I said and kissed her forehead. I sat on the seat I sat on yesterday and turned to Drake.

"You look like you need to eat, why don't you go to the cafeteria and get something to eat?" I suggested

"Yeah, I'm pretty hungry. I'll be back, my aunt and uncle are gonna be here soon, so if they come while I'm in the cafeteria don't freak out too much." He teased, I rolled my eyes and thew a pillow at him.

"Whatever, just go. I'll take care of Layla." I said, he laughed and nodded his head. He grabbed his phone and wallet and walked out the room leaving me with my sleeping Angel.

"I don't know what's taking you so long to wake up, but please wake up soon. I miss my Angel." I said grabbing her hand and placing a kiss on it. 

I stayed in that position for about 10 minutes, until two people came running in the room. I gulped thinking that these were her parents. I stood up from my position and they looked at Layla and then at me.

"Oh Layla." The woman said and walked towards Layla and cupped her cheeks. The man just looked at me and looked at Layla.

"Who are you?" He asked

"I'm Jameson Hunt, sir. I'm assuming you guys are Layla's parents." I said, he smiled and nodded his head.

"Yes, I'm Layla's father, Scott Emerson. This is my wife and Layla's mother, Alisha. How is Layla?" He asked looking at Layla, I sighed and looked over at her. 

"The doctor said she's fine, she's supposed to wake up any time today." I said, he nodded his head and then exchanged positions with his wife. Mrs Emerson stood in front of me with a smile on her face.

"You're Layla's boyfriend right, you're the Jamie she's always talking about, aren't you?" She asked, I nervously smiled and nodded my head. She smiled and walked towards me wrapping me in a hug. My eyes widened at her actions and slowly wrapped my arms around her too.

"I sure do hope you're treating our daughter well because she talks about you all the time." She said, I sighed in relief and smiled to myself. She pulled away and smiled at me.

"Is Drake here?" I heard Mr Emerson ask, I looked at him to see him looking at me with his hand in Layla's.

"Ah, yes sir, he just went to the cafeteria to eat some food. He's been here all night." I said, he smiled and chuckled.

"Please, call me Blake. I don't like being called sir unless I'm at work." He said, I returned the smile and nodded my head. Then, we heard a groan come from Layla. We all turned our heads to her and saw her stirring. 

"Jamie" She murmured, I walked towards her and held her other hand.

"I'm here, Angel. Your parents are here too, open your eyes." I whispered, her eyes flickered open and blinked a couple of times. 

"Mommy? Daddy?" She asked in a hoarse voice, her mother got a glass of water in her hand and gave it to Layla. She slowly lifted her head with my help and took a sip of the water.

"We're here, pumpkin." Scott said, Layla smile and looked at me.

"You met my parents?" She asked me, I chuckled and nodded my head.

"Yes, Angel, I met your parents." I said, she looked back at her parents.

"Mommy, Daddy, isn't Jamie just the greatest person ever?" She gushed, I smiled at my girl and held onto her hand.

"Yes, honey. She sure is a great guy, and I just know that he's going to treat you well." Alisha said,  I looked at her and she was already looking at me and gave me a smile.

"I'm glad you guys are getting along, but where's Drakey?" Layla asked

The door opened and Drake walked in, "Hey Ames, did you know that the hospital pudding is actually really good and their lasagna is the bomb." He said with a cup of pudding in his hand and a spoon in the other. He looked up and saw Alisha and Scott.

"Aunt Alisha, Uncle Scott, you're here!" He exclaimed and then his gaze turned to Layla and he smiled.

"Layla, you're awake!" He said and placed the pudding and the spoon on the table. We all laughed at Drake and I just shook my head. That guy is one heck of a pudding lover that's for sure.

Okay, I'm sorry. I know you guys probably want to kill me, but I'm working on something really important. I will be updating more for you guys soon, because I need to finish this story soon so that I can publish my other stories that I have in store for you guys! I love you all so much!
