Chapter 22
Her Master Plan
Evelina was speechless as she was handed the champagne flute. She stared at the flute and at Pan, still not having the words to say anything.
Pan then turned to the Lost Boys that surrounded them and gave a slight nod.
"Surround the area. Spread out. I don't want a single interruption, do you hear?" He snapped and all the boys spread out and blended into the forest. Evelina caught Sebastian's eye
He winked at her before he disappeared into the trees as well.
She stared at the exact spot he was just at, and was only brought back to reality when Pan took her hand gently, and led her to the table, where he pulled out a chair for her and she took a slow seat.
"W-what are we doing?" She asked again innocently, and Pan chuckled.
"We're having dinner, love." He said as he poured his own flute of champagne. The poor confused girl still didn't feel safe, neither did she completely understood the situation, but she had grown an appetite after the long walk through the forest. She accepted the meal before her, and gingerly took her fork. She poked at her meal, before deciding that Pan wouldn't poison her yet, and ate it cautiously. She chewed slowly, and her eyes slightly widened when the flavor hit her taste buds. Delicious was an understatement. She then began eating with more confidence.
And Pan just smiled at her as she ate.

David and Snow walked down the dark streets of Storybrooke searching for that blonde platinum hair they missed dearly. For hours now they had searched, and Valentine's day was already close to an end, with only one more hour to go. Snow was getting frustrated. Experiencing this, she didn't want to leave Evelina alone ever again. Not if it meant it was easier for Pan to take her.
"David, she could be anywhere in Storybrooke by now, and who knows what Pan could've done to her by now." Snow breathed heavily as she spoke. David glanced at her before adjusting his flashlight.
"She's fine, Snow, she's a smart girl." David said trying to comfort his wife. It didn't work.
For the rest of the search, Snow kept mumbling how she would never let Evelina out of her sight ever again, how it was a huge mistake to even think of letting her leave town, how she would absolutely die if anything happened to her dear Evelina.
David seriously considered getting a sleeping spell.

"Evelina?"
"..."
"Evelina?"
"Oh, yes?" The young girl said when she snapped out of her strange thoughts. She looked up to see Pan peering at her, with a small smirk.
"How was the food?" He asked and Evelina smiled politely.
"Great, thank you." She responded and it fell once again silent. Evelina started to squirm in her seat, and her eyes began to droop. She was getting tired, and Pan noticed.
"Hold out for dessert, love, and then I'll return you home." He said and snapped his fingers. Almost instantly, a piece of chocolate cake appeared. It had a vanilla swirl, with little chocolate beads decorating the sides.
"Is that...?"
"An ice cream cake with a vanilla chocolate swirl and a liquid strawberry mush on the inside. Your favorite." Pan said proudly as he picked up his own spoon and dipped it into his slice. Evelina couldn't bring herself to eat it yet.
"How did you... how did you-"
"I know because I asked Henry." He replied simply. Evelina dropped her fork and stared up at Pan.
"That's impossible." She suddenly snapped. But Peter just chuckled.
"I asked him when I, let's say, 'borrowed' him in Neverland. He spoke highly of you, and let's just say, you intrigued me." He said calmly with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Evelina scowled at him before turning her attention back to her cake.
"Forfølger." She muttered under her breath before she took the first bite of her cake, and Pan frowned at her.
"I'm not a stalker." He snapped.
Evelina played dumb.
"Who ever said you were?" She questioned stupidly, and took another bite of her cake. Pan just rolled his eyes and looked away, all while mumbling incoherent words.
"Girls and their stupid cake."
~
Evelina was actually having a decent time, though she would never admit it out loud. She would giggle at some jokes Pan would say, he would occasionally entertain her with some Neverland stories, and she would tell him some of her adventures here in Storybrooke.
"Stop, stop, stop, no way there's something like that on Neverland." Evelina said, not believeing a single thing Pan was now saying. Pan chuckled and nodded his head while pouring himself another flute of champagne.
"I'm serious, love, we really do have mermaids-"
"How fascinating! Are they friendly?" Evelina asked, completely astonished. Peter Pan shook his head.
"No. Ruthless creatures they are..." He informed and Evelina frowned.
"Neverland sounds interesting." Evelina said softly and Pan smiled.
"Yes, it is... would you like to visit it?" He suddenly asked. Evelina dropped her champagne flute and it shattered to the floor.
"What did you say?" She asked, completely bewildered.
"Would you like to go to Neverland?" He repeated once more, slowly.
"No, we can't do that. There isn't a way to jump realms." She exclaimed, refusing to believe there was a way through the different lands. Pan chuckled.
"Darling, if there wasn't a way, why would I suggest it?" He said cockily and took a sip of his drink with a raised eyebrow. Evelina's breathing was off, and she was getting flustered.
"You're tell me you have a way to jump between realms?" She asked again, this time more slowly. Pan nodded.
"Of course."
Evelina began to see spots. She felt a head rush and began to breath heavily. It was impossible... Evelina was always told that all magical portals were almost impossible to open. One of the only ways to even travel was by obtaining a magic bean. And Evelina knew those didn't exist anymore. She knew Snow, David, and Emma would've told her about it. Suddenly, Evelina thought of something. Something crazy, something insane, something she didn't even know if it was going to work. The plan developed in Evelina's mind, and she knew it would take a lot of steps to complete it, but she knew she had to try.
So she initiated the first step to her master plan. She turned to Peter Pan and gave a tight, small smile. One that only she knew was fake.
"Take me to Neverland."
