The guys encourage each other on the field, and I get more nervous.

is played into Jay." The announcer keeps going, and I watch number 8. "Jay, great jump, great leap. And a great move by Jay. Big block from Chad. Jay dishes off to Prince Ben. And then Carlos with a big block, goes down. Jay through the kill zone, picks up Carlos. Oh, he's being hammered by dragon fire. Still, going on. Jay, hurdling maneuver at mid-field. He's in the clear. The ball goes back to Jay."

Then they do something incredibly stupid. Carlos falls to the ground, and covers himself with his shield, and Jay bounces the ball up, and stepping off with Carlos' shield.

"He passes to prince Ben." And the announcer is back. "He scores! Prince Ben has won it!" Our side goes nuts, especially me, Evie, and Lonnie. I've got two reasons to be excited, and Lonnie and Evie is getting excited for Mal, who seems in shock. "What an unselfish play by Jay. What a team! Incredible! And It's the new guys, Jay and Carlos, who set up the prince for the win here. What a victory! An absolutely wonderful end to one of the best games ever. Here they come, folks. "And I'm going to the coronation with him. So I don't need your pity date." She sneers and kisses him.

"Whoa!" The crowd responds, with me sticking my tongue out in disgust.

"Mal! Will you go to the coronation with me?" Ben asks.

"Yes!" Mal answers, with hesitation.

"She said yes!" Ben yells, and I look at Evie.

"Let's go, Ben. The whole team's waiting for you." Jay says, locking eyes with me again.

"Yeah." Ben breathlessly replies, following.

"Bye." Mal waves. "Whoo!"

"What a victory. What a day for the Auradon Knights, finally winning back the trophy after so many years." The stupid announcer comes back.

"I feel really sorry for Audrey." Mal says, trying to comfort her best friend.

"You do?" Evie replies, and I feel sorry for her. She liked Chad...

"Yeah. I feel like if she were talented like you, and she knew how to sew and knew beauty tips, that she wouldn't need a prince to make her feel better about herself." Evie laughs a little.

"I guess I am kind of talented." Evie smiles.

"You are definitely gifted." Mal replies.

"Thanks, M." I smile.

"Yeah, yeah!" I look to the field.

"And there he is. Jay, the most valuable player." The team raises Jay on their shoulders, and he high fives them all. "How do you like that?" We lock eyes again, and I wave.

We all go back to our dorms, and then a knock on our door, makes us jump.

"Who?" Lonnie asks. She opens it, and then she clears her throat. I look at her, and she nudges her head towards the door, and I see Jay.

"Can I borrow Alliya?" Lonnie nods, and I go to the door. Lonnie pushes me out the door frame, and closes it.

"Well then." I mutter, looking at our door.

"Want to take a walk with me?" I nod. We walk out to the tourney field, and I laugh.

"You want to come back out here? I'd stay far away from here..." I smile.

"Well. Other than the woods, it's the only place I know where it'll be just the two of us..." I nod. "So. Did you really cheer for Carlos?" I laugh.

"Yes. I actually did." He looks hurt. "I'm kidding. I might have cheered for you. And for Ben of course." He nods.

"Naturally." I smile.

"Nice game." He shakes his head.

"You're really awkward." I pout.

"Says you!" He tries to chase me, and I run away, faster than he can keep up. I land in the grass, and he lands beside me, both of us looking at the stars. "I like this constellation." I point to it, and he nods.

"How about that one?" Our hands touch again, the tingling coming back.

We look at each other, and he kind of looks all over my face.

"You have beautiful eyes." He mutters. I look away and blush.

"Thanks. I think." I smile to myself.

"Well. I think we should get back to our dorms..." I nod.

"How about you and I go take a little joy ride into the woods?" He gives me a look. "It'll be fine. I promise." He nods.

"Sure. Sounds like fun." I grin.

"Meet me at my dorm in the morning. We'll go then." He nods, and walks me to my dorm room, telling me goodnight.

I walk in, and the girls look at me expectantly.

"I think I know how my parents did ohh so long ago." They squeal and demand details as I get ready for bed.

"And we're going to the river tomorrow. I didn't tell him where, but... he knows to meet me here tomorrow. Easy peasy." Genova claps, and Lonnie looks at me with love.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhh you guys should just be together already." Lonnie says, lazily. She gets under the covers of her bed, and Genova stretches, getting ready to jump into her lamp.

"After tomorrow, we just might." I say to myself, climbing under my covers as well.

After lights are turned off, and the girls are asleep, I smile to myself.

This will be fun.
