A/N

As per the poll in my conversation board, it is decided to take advantage of my previous story, whitewashing it. It's called The fervor.

Here is a glimpse of the story-

Ajeet was uncertainly worried for his younger son. He loved all his kids equally, just to shape them into wonderful souls he had to be strict with them. Certainly, being a single parent was harder than imagined for kids though he felt terrible to do so. But that strictness added hatred to the relationship between father and son. And it strained the association between them.

Shaking his thoughts, Ajeet moved out and hired the local auto-rickshaw, hurried in the direction.

Within minutes he was in the office premises, men with black coats and files were moving in and out. He felt out of them, he felt misplaced in the territory of lawyers and their colleagues. He glanced at the surroundings and moved inside.

"Where do court weddings take place?" He asked one of the labourers, who was watering the plants.

"From there left." The man indicated towards the following turn murmuring in the local language.

Nevertheless, Ajeet didn't understand a word, he made guesswork and strode after thanking the man.

As the folk passed through him in the corridors, he felt uncommon. He sensed a sharp gut sensation that something would happen today. Ignoring the aura, he stood outside the department room.

He decided to have a seat on the wooden benches which were positioned right in front of the entrance before he meet his son.

What he saw, abruptly made him stand up, and gasped with shock. His son was with a young lady in coordinated pairs of dresses.

He could not believe his eyes.

What he yesterday said is for Shivaay's well-being. He wanted his son to get married and settle like his other kids. But he felt that his words were too brutal and as a response Shivaay has taken an extreme step. Only to prove that he is wrong. His father was wrong.

"Why is the office empty? Is a wedding going on right here?" Ajeet inquired pointing toward Shivaay and the lady beside him, to staff who were busing checking the files.

"Yeah, they are entering the wedlock. And the person seems to be influential in the government departments, so the officials are concentrating on them. It's a rush wedding." Saying so the staff moved out of Ajeet's sight.

Taking small steps he reached them, his heart was ramming through his rib cage. He didn't wish to see his son, getting married without his or his family's presence. A lump formed in his throat seeing them together, he would have agreed to the girl only if Shivaay was okay.

As a parent, he felt offended.

"Did you fulfil your online transactions, by the way, you should thank me for, helping you at midnight?" He heard Shivaay's cheerful tone while wiggling the pen in his fingers

"Yeah, thank you. But I did submit late and got an earful of scolding. Thankfully they did accept my letter for it." The lady giggled at the midnight adventure in the process she stumbled however, was caught by Shivaay, his son.

The word shock was not enough for Ajeet. His son was with a woman and was about to get married.

"Ahem..ahem" Ajeet cleared his throat to bring the couple back to reality.

"Umm... I... You here" Shivaay shuttered a bit seeing his father at this point. His father was looking red with the current situation.

"What are you doing here?" He interrogated Shivaay, while the lady beside him looked quite shocked.

"Aur kya shadi." She mumbled under her breath but it was heard by Ajeet, with made him look at Shivaay for confirmation.

[Trans - What else wedding.]

"Bhai Rudra, the witness came." Ved, Shivaay's best friend entered the show only to see Shivaay's father infuriated with the scenario.

"Papa Ji, it's not what you think." Shivaay pleaded but he was given a deaf ear.

"Oh... Papa. That's why I remember seeing him somewhere." The lady yelled and reached out to take the blessing of the elder.

Shivaay's eyes went wide with this stunt. He pulled her back and glared at her.

"I was taking blessing from him, your father." She whined, making both the friends look at her with frustration.

"Ohh...Oberoi Saab, you never invited me to your wedding." Devraj Nelson entered the room with Saanvi behind him. And few men were glaring at Ved.

Devraj looked at Shivaay and gave a lopsided smirk. Shivaay shut his eyes as soon as he saw the minister enter the room. He knew his father was misinterpreting the situation.

And the next moment, a slap landed on Shivaay's cheek making him lose balance, the young lady supported him to stand.

What had happened? She thought.
