His twin
Bailey Potter's Point of View
I poked my head into each compartment I could find, hoping they would be either empty or partially empty. "Bailey! Hurry up all ready!" My twin, James griped from behind me.
I didn't respond to him as I poked my head inside. "Hi um is it alraight if me and my brother sit in here?" I asked the girl who sat inside with another boy with greasy black hair. She nodded making me grin. "C'mon James!" I pulled him inside as he tried to wander off.
"Ack Bailey! Seriously what is with you and pulling my arm?!" He demanded rubbing his left arm in annoyance. I rolled my eyes and sat down beside the girl. "I'm Bailey Potter nice to meet you." I said holding my hand out to her.
She smiled and shook my hand. "Lily Evans. My friend here is Severus Snape." She indicated him with her free hand. "Nice to meet you 2! Over there is my brother James. We're twins." I whispered in her ear.
She nodded and stared out the window at the green countryside. "You better get in Slytherin." Snape said lokking at Lily after a while. "Pffffft Why would you wanna be in that house? I think I'd leave wouldn't you?" James said making me glare at him.
"Well what house do you want then?!" He demanded glaring at my brother. "Gryffindor. Where dwell the brave at heart." He pretended to hold a sword. "You're so childish James. Besides It shouldn't matter. It only lasts for seven-" "You would think that but its eternal. Believe me I would do anything to stay out of Slytherin." A kid with wavy black hair said interrupting me.
I turned to Lily who looked uncomfortable. "Don't worry i'll still talk to you no matter what house we get." I said and she smiled gratefully. "Besides boys are secretly big idiots." I whispered the last bit.
"I'm Sirius Black." The kid said making my eyes widen. "As in the pureblood Black family?! They have all been in Slytherin for centuries!" I said in shock. he groaned. "Exactly why I don't wanna be in Slytheirn I wanna break away from my family."
I nodded in understanding but tuned out the rest of the ride. I daydreamed about Hogwarts and all sorts of things as we rode over the rickety tracks.
Once we made it to Hogwarts and stood in the Great Hall I could feel my breathe hitch as I stared in awe and wonder. It was so magical! James was silent beside me. "I wonder how the sorting works?" I asked glancing at Lily. A kid pushed their way forward saying, "Sorry! PArdon me. Excuse me." When he finally reached us I saw it was a roundish boy with straw-yellow hair and beady eyes.
"They use an old hat they call the Sorting Hat." He panted and a moment later a tall kid who had some scars on his face and brown hair was beside us. "Sorry about that. Peter a warning would have been nice. But he's right they use the Sorting Hat and it determines your house."
My eyes widened while Sirius just rolled his eyes. "Woah~" I breathed making James snicker at me. "What?! This morning you wouldn't shut up about getting sorted and just eating because Mum's food sucks." I said with an evil smirk.
James kinda glared at me while the tall kid looked impressed and the round kid was in awe and Sirius gave me a high five. We all lined up eagerly waiting for the hat to sort us.
"Potter, Bailey." I took a deep breathe and steppd up to the stool. Once I sat down the hat was placed on my head. "Kind, smart, courageous, witty. HMmmm all good attributes. But what house? LEts make it GRYFFINDOR!"
I smiled and walked over once the hat was removed. I sat beside Lily who had been sorted before me. Severus had ended up getting Slytherin and was staring longingly at Lily. "You sure he doesn't have a crush on you?" I asked her and she blushed.
"Potter, James!" I turned my attention to see my brother on the stool excitedly. "GRYFFINDOR!" The hat bellowed making the whole table clap. "Yay James!" I said as he sat beside me. Sirius joined us a feew minutes later as well as tall boy and round kid who I learned were Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew.
I kicked my legs accidently hitting Sirius repeatedly. I grinned at him slyly and continued as I talked with Lily. I think he was about to go off on me but he was already close to James so he wouldn't risk it. I'm evil~.

A month into term has proved that James is pushing his boundaries with Mum since he keeps making trouble with the rest of his friends. I'm pretty close with Lily and Severus but I'm with James and the others more than them.
They undertood that he was my brother but still didn't like it. "Ms. Potter!" A voice snapped me from my thoughts and saw that Flitwick was pointing at me with his wand. "Er sorry Professor. Can you please repeat the question?" I said meakly.
"The question was what is Alohamora used as?" Flitwick said folding his arms behind his back. "It can be used to unlock doors or locks, sir." I said sitting up. He nodded and continued the lesson.
"phew" I muttered softly and Lily rolled her eyes beside me. I lightly elbowed her and she elbowed me back. I flicked a piece of paper at her and she frowned in annoyance. I grinned and turned back to whatever Flitwick was saying.
"Thank you class. Dismissed!" My eyes widened. I had missed the whole class?! Oh no.......... I clurch my books to my chest and walk to the common room looking glum.
I sat on the couch where Sirius, James, and Remus were talking about Quidditch. Once Sirius noticed my expression he immediatley pulled me onto his lap making me yelp for some unknown reason. "What the?" James looked up at me but realized the situation he shrugged and continued his conversation.
"Now why do look so upset?" He asked me. "I don't know Flitwick's homework." I muttered looking away. "Pfffffffft. Is that it?" He laughed making me glare at him. I got off his lap in annoyance.
"Hey Remus I've been curious, how did you get your scars?" I asked and he froze. He had an expression of terror and I immediatley felt bad. "If it's too much you don't have to explain." I said apologetically.
He nodded but didn't seem to relax again. Way to go Bailey! I just don't need to bring it up again. It's obviously touchy for him. I groaned as I remembered the Potions homework I still needed to do.
I set to work on the essay trying to ignore my brother's attempts to distract me.
