In a dark tunnel
One can only hope that there is a crevice through that dark
So that light could seep through
And guide those who were lost
And guide the hopeless

Falling in a bottomless pit
One can only hope that
Somehow a landing awaits them
A soft landing like falling on a trampoline
So that they could reach an equilibrium
Or else the fall will be an endless movement through fear, uncertainty, hopelessness...

That's the only way I can describe this hope I have within me
That as I have returned to make things right
The brokenness, ruin and misery of the past could be left in the dark tunnel and that love will like the light seep through our relationship.

That as I have returned to erase my wrongs  that our love could be the soft landing  that will prevent us both from plummeting into a continuous bottomless pit of the past...
