Chapter Five: Keepers Of The House
Nobody's Pov
As everyone settled down, despite the fact that some people were still tense, the next episode began to play.
The screen turns on and the camera pans to the compound of New Orleans.
We head inside where we see Klaus and Elijah walking into the courtyard.
"Our home. Once the pride of our family, now a flop house." Klaus commented, crinkling his face in disgust.
"Indeed, the mighty have fallen" Elijah nodded.
"Are they seriously upset by how the place looks?" Miguel asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, no offense but the place does look like it needs some decorating" Demetri shrugged.
The place looked too gloomy in his opinion.
It really wouldn't hurt to add some color or something that didn't make the place look like a graveyard.
"That doesn't matter, dude. They should only be focusing on Hope and helping her heal" Hawk sighed.
Footsteps are heard and Hayley, who's carrying Hope bridal style in her arms, and Daniel hurriedly walk into the courtyard.
"Where's Vincent?" Hayley asked.
"Right here" Vincent said as he walked in.
Hayley sighed in relief and sets Hope down on one of the old couches.
Vincent looked at Daniel and raised an eyebrow.
"Huh? Guess Marcel wasn't lying when he said you guys brought some random guy into your mess" Vincent commented.
Daniel tensed a little while Hayley slid her hand into his and held it firmly.
Amanda huffed, trying not to comment on Hayley holding Daniel's hand.
She knows that they are best friends and best friends often hold each others hands.
But she hates that another woman is holding her husbands hand when she wants to be the one to do that.
Vincent shook his head before looking at the Mikaelson brothers.
"Kept my word. Now the only question is whether or not you guys are gonna keep yours. As soon as I'm finished healing your kid, you got to leave the city" Vincent sternly said.
"Well, we're not gonna stay, are we? Your city has lost its charm" Klaus sneered.
"Klaus!" Daniel yelled, shooting the hybrid a glare.
"What he means to say is that we're very grateful, just help her and we'll leave" Hayley said.
"Just give us what we need, and we will do so, happily" Elijah added.
Vincent nodded and says, "excuse me".
Hayley and Daniel backed away, Klaus and Elijah doing the same, as Vincent walked closer to Hope and crouched down in front of her.
"Okay" Vincent cleared his throat as he closed his eyes.
Everyone leaned forward, wondering what Vincent was going to do that would help Hope.
All they wanted was for Hope to be alright.
"Nettoyer timoun sa a. Nettoyer timoun sa a. Nettoyer timoun sa a. Nettoyer timoun sa a. Nettoyer timoun sa a" Vincent chanted.
He then moved and slowly placed a hand on Hope's cheeks.
Hope's eyes fluttered open and she looked around in confusion.
"Mom? Uncle Daniel?" Hope asked.
Hayley and Daniel sighed in relief before rushing over to Hope.
Everyone had the same reaction as Hayley and Daniel, sighs of relief escaping their lips.
Silver, on the other hand, merely hummed at what Vincent done with a curious glint in his eyes.
He wondered what else witches like him, and Gertrude, could do.
They crouched down in front of her with Hayley cupping the sides of her face while Daniel placed a hand on her shoulder and scanned her up and down.
"That's it. Your little girl's purified" Vincent said, standing up.
"Thank you" Klaus said gratefully, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Now look, the only gratitude I need from any of you is seeing you leave the city" Vincent sternly said.
"Wow, he must really want them gone" Mike chuckled, amused.
"I don't blame him" Johnny muttered.
He wouldn't want the Mikaelson's to be near him, his friends or his family based on how powerful and dangerous they are.
It's shocking that someone like Larusso is alright being near them.
Klaus rolled his eyes but nodded his head.
Hayley and Daniel helped Hope off the couch before nodding over to Klaus.
"Go see your dad" Hayley told her daughter.
Hope nodded and turned to Klaus with a smile on her face as she made her way towards him. Klaus smiled back at her and waited for her to get close.
When all of a sudden a loud squawk of a crow filled the air.
Then a dead crow dropped to the ground in front of Hope's feet which made her gasp and jump back. More and more continued to fall around her and surrounded her in a circle.
Everyone looked shocked, wondering what was going on, as Hayley and Daniel rushed over to Hope.
Everyone jumped, some letting out yells, at the unexpected drop of dead crows that surrounded Hope.
"What the fuck?!" Mitch and Chris yelled.
"What the hell is going on?!" Sam and Miguel yelled.
"What's with the dead crows?" Robby asked, frowning.
Even Silver and Kim Da-Eun looked alarmed at seeing the dead crows that dropped out of nowhere.
Everyone wanted answers as to what was happening but they knew that they weren't going to get it.
Especially when it's clear, judging by the look on her face, Gertrude wasn't going to tell them anything.
Hayley crouched down in front of her Hope, cupping the sides of her face, while Daniel looked around in alarm.
"What is this?" Klaus demanded.
"I don't know" Vincent said, confused.
"Mom, uncle Daniel, can you guys hear that?" Hope asked, her face twisting with confusion.
"Hear what, sweetie?" Daniel asked, confused and worried.
"It's whispers. Saying a name. Over and over. Kre Nah Han, Kre Nah Han" Hope said.
Hayley and Daniel shared a look of worry before their eyes move over to Vincent.
"Vincent, what is that?" Hayley asked.
"It's a nearly forgotten dialect. It's Creole. It means the hollow. The Hollow is coming" Vincent explained, his eyes showing nothing but fear.
Seeing the fear in Vincent's eyes, as well as his tone, had everyone in the theater tensing.
Even Silver and Kim Da-Eun tensed up.
They have a feeling that danger is upon the group with this hollow being coming into the picture.
The scene changes to the next day and the camera pans to the Mikaelson compound.
We head inside the courtyard where we see Elijah and Klaus clearing up the birds as they tossed them into some sacks.
The camera pans to the stairs where we see Hayley and Daniel walking down.
"How is she?" Klaus asked upon seeing the best friend duo.
"Uh, the fever's back. But she's not in any pain. She's asking for you" Hayley told him.
"Well, make an excuse. I'd rather my daughter not know I've gone off to murder witches" Klaus angrily said.
"Oh good lord" Carmen sighed.
"He can't kill people and think that's going to solve anything" Amanda scowled.
She doesn't understand why Klaus feels the need to kill everyone rather than have a civil conversation and form an alliance.
It's better than having blood on his hands.
Not that someone like Klaus would mind since she's sure that he's killed more people than she can count.
"You're not going anywhere let alone to kill anyone" Daniel sternly said.
"I agree with, Daniel. We cannot be reckless, Niklaus" Elijah said.
"And how would you have me respond? Should I delegate my child's safety to someone else?" Klaus asked, annoyed.
"Let me see what I can do" Elijah told him.
"And I will handle Marcel. Out of the four of us, Danny and I win most likely not to get killed on arrival but I don't want him anywhere near my best friend so I'm going" Hayley said.
"I can take care of myself, Hales" Daniel reminded her.
"I know, Danny. But you're still not going" Hayley sternly said.
Daniel huffed but didn't argue any further.
"I still find it weird that dad listens to her" Anthony whispered to his sister.
"Me too" Sam whispered, nodding her head.
While she has to get used to her dad listening to someone rather than disobeying them she admits it's not that bad.
Especially when someone has to keep him grounded.
Keep him from running into dangerous things that could hurt him.
And it's clear that her dad cares and respects Hayley so it's obvious he listens to her.
Which is good because all she wants is for her dad to be safe.
"Whatever we're up against, it's as much his problem as it is ours" Hayley said.
"Leaving me to do what, exactly?" Klaus asked.
"Stay here with Danny and protect our daughter. Do not let anything or anyone near her" Hayley sternly said.
Daniel nodded, a serious look on his face, while Klaus sighed before nodding his head.
Hayley nodded at them both before turning around and walked away.
Klaus sighed before turning to go upstairs with Daniel following behind him.
The scene changes and we head into the bedroom that Hope is in.
The camera pans over to the bed where we see Hope on the bed, clutching her blanket close to her body, trembling.
"Oh, pobre nina" Rosa frowned.
"Even after Vincent helped her she still looks sick" Carmen frowned.
She didn't know Hope that well but her heart aches at seeing her in this state.
She prayed that she would get better soon and that whatever this hollow thing is wouldn't do anything to harm her.
After all, she's still just a kid.
Footsteps are heard and we see Klaus and Daniel walking into the room.
"How are you feeling?" Klaus asked, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"I'm still so cold. Are the birds gone?" Hope asked.
"Yes, sweetie. They're gone" Daniel told her, sitting on the other side of the bed.
"And when you're better, which will be soon, you and I are going to share the biggest plate of beignets you've ever seen. And you can tell me where in this big, wide world you'd like me to take you next" Klaus smiled.
"Can uncle Daniel come with us?" Hope asked.
Daniel smiled at that while Klaus glanced at him before looking back at his daughter.
"You really like him, huh?" Klaus asked.
"Uncle Daniel is the best! He always paints with me and buys me my favorite chips whenever I'm sad" Hope grinned.
"Dad really is the best. He's always there for us" Anthony smiled.
"He is. He always knew what to say to make us feel better and if we ever needed him he would drop everything just for us" Sam smiled.
Their dad was everything to them and they loved him more than anything.
And they longed for him to come back home and be with them.
That's all they wanted.
Amanda looked at her kids with a frown on her face, sadness in her eyes.
She knew how much her kids loved Daniel, maybe even more than her, because of how much he doted on them.
She knew just how much they missed him.
She knew how much their hearts ache at the thought of Daniel never coming back.
She prays that Daniel makes the decision, sooner rather than later, to come home.
For the kids and for her.
She missed him just as much as her kids did and wanted nothing more than for him to return to her.
Daniel chuckled at Hope while Klaus looked at him.
"Is that true?" Klaus asked.
"Of course, anything for my niece" Daniel smiled, winking at Hope.
Hope giggled and Klaus relished in that noise before looking back at Daniel.
"Well, would you like to join us in eating beignets and traveling around the world?" Klaus asked.
"Really?" Daniel asked, his eyes wide.
"Of course, love. After all, you're important to my daughter. Which means you're important to me" Klaus smiled.
Daniel smiled at that and looked down, a blush creeping onto his face.
Everyone couldn't stop the small smiles from appearing on their faces.
Despite how they feel about Klaus they were relieved that he seems to have warmed up to Daniel and Daniel has warmed up to him.
They could tell that with time they would become good friends.
Carmen, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow at the nickname Klaus gave Daniel and the way he spoke and looked at him.
Not only that but the way reacted to it.
It's like he liked it but was also, possibly, attracted to it.
And definitely not in the sense of friendship.
"Mom said you loved New Orleans most of all" Hope said.
Klaus turned away from Daniel in order to look at his daughter.
"I did, once. But putting your love in a place is a mistake. Being here in our home, seeing these walls, I am reminded that it is people who are best suited to fill our hearts" Klaus explained.
Daniel frowned and bit his lip at that.
"Dad, uncle Daniel, I don't feel so good" Hope groaned.
Klaus frowned and gently placed his hand on her forehead while Daniel ran his fingers through Hope's hair.
"Why don't I make you some soup? Will that help you feel better?" Daniel asked.
"Yes, please" Hope nodded.
Sam couldn't help but smile at that.
She remembered when she was little she had come down with a cold so she had to stay home from school.
Her mom wasn't able to stay with her since she was busy with work.
Her dad, on the other hand, was more than willing to stay with her and take care of her and help her recover.
He spent the entire day with her and never once left her side.
She remembered how her dad would run his fingers through her hair to help sooth her.
Not only that but he made her delicious soup to help her and she loved it so much she had a second round of it.
It's memories like those that make her miss her dad even more and watching his life in New Orleans doesn't help.
Not when all she wants is for her dad to be with her in person.
Daniel smiled and kissed her forehead before getting up from the bed and left the room to make the soup.
Klaus watched him leave with a look of respect and adoration in his eyes.
"You're right, sweetheart. He is the best" Klaus said.
"Damn right he is" Mike nodded with a smile.
"Daniel-san is the best of the best" Chozen smiled.
Johnny didn't say anything but the small smile on his face and the nod he gave indicated that he felt the same way.
Amanda smiled at the three men, happy that they felt that way about her husband.
The scene changes to the kitchen where we see Daniel making the soup he promised for Hope.
But as he worked on the soup he was on the phone since she wanted to know how Hope was doing.
"How is she?" Hayley asked.
"She's sleeping and Klaus is with her since he doesn't want her to be left alone. But he told me that Freya will be here soon to stir up one of her medicinal concoctions" Daniel told her.
"What are you doing?" Hayley asked.
"Just making some soup for Hope, maybe that'll help her feel better" Daniel said.
"You know she'll never resist your cooking. She loves when you cook" Hayley laughed.
"I know" Daniel laughed.
"None of us can. After all, Mr. Larusso is a good cook" Robby smiled.
The time that he lived with the Larusso's it was always Mr. Larusso that cooked.
Sure, Mrs. Larusso cooked too but it seems like it was her husband that did most of it while she was there to help if needed.
And he can't deny that Mr. Larusso's cooking is the best.
"True, the food he made whenever we were over at his place was amazing" Hawk smiled.
"Agreed. My mouth is watering just thinking about his cooking" Demetri smiled.
Miguel smiled while nodding his head in agreement.
"Hales, please tell me you have answers" Daniel begged.
"Marcel and I have a lead. A wolf who got caught up with the hollow" Hayley told him.
"A wolf involved in witch business?" Daniel asked, confused.
"Crazy, I know. I want to ask her a few questions" Hayley said.
"Good. Now, while I'm not one for violence but this thing is affecting my niece and it needs to be taught a lesson. Along with anyone that's working with it. So, I expect you to show this traitor the error of her ways" Daniel sternly said.
"Don't worry, Danny. I'll handle it" Hayley reassured him.
Daniel nodded and told Hayley to be safe before hanging up the phone.
Everyone didn't know whether to be shocked or scared at hearing those words come from Daniel's mouth.
They understand how much he loves Hope and how protective he is of her.
But they never thought that he would actually encourage violence rather than be against it.
Something he was against when he was still in Los Angeles and teaching karate.
But, then again, the supernatural is dangerous.
And from what they've seen so far violence, maybe even going as far as killing, is necessary.
Still doesn't mean they like it.
The scene changes back to the bedroom and we see Hope fast asleep on the bed while Klaus and Daniel are sitting on both sides of the bed.
Hope had eaten some of the soup that Daniel made for her and it did help her a little.
But it's clear that she's still sick and is resting at the moment.
"I know you can hear me. I want you to listen. The heart which beats in your chest is a warrior's heart. The heart of a Mikaelson. Whatever hold this power has over you, it is nothing compared to your strength. Yours is a power greater than you know" Klaus softly said.
He held Hope's hand and kissed the top of it.
"Come on. Hope" Klaus whispered.
Daniel's eyes softened at seeing the way Klaus spoke to his daughter and a smile appeared on his face.
A few people couldn't help but smile softly at the way Klaus spoke to his daughter.
No matter how they feel about Klaus, along with the rest of his family, he's a good dad.
And the fact that he's just met his daughter and is still getting to know her says alot.
Johnny wondered if he could be a good dad like Klaus is to Hope with his unborn son or daughter.
After all, he wants to be better and be there for his child.
"Dad. Uncle Daniel" Hope groggily said.
"We're here, sweetie" Daniel softly said.
"I saw them. The other kids. They're so scared. Promise me if you ever see the blue lights, don't look at them" Hope begged.
This made the two men frown as they glanced at each other.
Everyone frowned at that, especially at hearing the tone in Hope's voice.
"Does the blue lights have anything to do with the hollow?" Sam asked, looking at Gertrude.
Gertrude said nothing and simply nodded her head.
Sam pursed her lips and just nodded back before putting her attention back on the screen.
The scene changes to the bayou and the camera pans over to Klaus and Daniel walking together.
They spot Elijah and Vincent and stop once they are a few feet across from them.
"Where's Hope?" Elijah asked.
"Freya's with her now. She's fighting it. Whatever it is" Klaus told him.
"The kids are attached to that spell: if we save the kids, we save your little girl" Vincent said.
Footsteps are heard causing everyone to see Hayley and Marcel walking towards them.
"And the sooner you all can be on your way" Marcel added.
"Clearly we're skipping all the hugs and hellos" Daniel rolled his eyes.
"Clearly you weren't smart enough to take my advice and leave these people. Your funeral I guess" Marcel shot back.
Daniel glared at him and tried walking towards him but Klaus quickly held him back.
"Asshole" Sam and Anthony scowled.
Miguel along with the rest of the Miyagi-Do students chuckled in amusement.
Johnny and Mike snorted while Chozen shook his head with his lips twitching upwards slightly.
Amanda, on the other hand, couldn't help but somewhat agree with Marcel.
She wished that Daniel had taken Marcel's advice and left the Mikaelson's and Hayley when he had the chance.
Their problems aren't his, they shouldn't be his, and he shouldn't have to involved himself in whatever mess they get themselves in.
She would prefer if he stay far away from him.
She would prefer if he left New Orleans and came back home to his family and friends.
Especially when every single one of them have been worried about him since the day he disappeared.
Herself included.
Hayley smacked Marcel upside the head causing him to wince and glare at her as she glared back at him.
"Vincent" Hayley said, turning to the man.
"Trail leads off this way, so, I guess we, uh, follow the breadcrumbs" Vincent said.
"Tactless savages holding a ghost-raising rave. Best make short work of them. I say we-" Klaus started but was cut off.
"We split up. Klaus, you're with me, I'm not letting you out of my sight" Marcel sternly said.
Klaus rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed, while Marcel looked at the others.
"Anybody got a problem with that, I don't give a damn" Marcel finished as he walked off.
"Wow, he must really not like him" Kenny laughed.
"No he doesn't" Devon nodded.
"Same way none of us like that ponytailed bastard" Johnny muttered, glancing at Silver.
Chozen and Mike, having heard him, nodded their heads in agreement.
Klaus and Elijah shared a look and nodded before Klaus turned around and followed behind Marcel.
The four others were now left to search in the other direction.
They started walking together with Hayley standing next to Elijah while holding Daniel's hand firmly as he stood at her other side.
"So you knew this crescent girl?" Elijah asked his girlfriend.
"I did. But whatever that was today, that wasn't her. She said something about blue light" Hayley said.
Daniel's head perked up at that as his eyebrows furrowed together.
Everyone had the same reaction as Daniel once the blue light was mentioned.
"Blue light? Isn't that what the little girl talked about before?" Kyler asked.
"Wow, the idiot listens for once" Demetri muttered making Hawk snort.
Gertrude said nothing and just nodded her head.
"Yeah, that's the 'fifolet'. New Orleans legend says that a spirit might present itself in a bright blue ball of light" Vincent said.
"Wonderful. How do we kill it?" Elijah asked.
"We'll find out soon enough" Vincent said.
"You've got your dagger, right?" Hayley asked, looking at her best friend.
"I never leave without it" Daniel said, taking out his dagger that was strapped to his jeans from behind.
Hayley smiled while Elijah nodded in approval.
"Still baffles me that he carries a weapon with him now" Amanda frowned.
"At least he has something to protect him. Better safe then sorry" Carmen reminded her.
Amanda sighed but nodded her head in agreement.
Even if Daniel can protect himself with his fighting skills it's better if he had a weapon with him just in case.
The scene changes and we see night has fallen.
The camera pans over to Hayley, Daniel, Elijah and Vincent as they remain hidden.
The camera pans over to the missing kids and we see them wrapped and bound in white sheets and rope, laid on a large wooden stump, with an altar made of bones and sticks above them. The followers stood in front of it, all dressed up in dark robes, facing a man named Will.
"Holy shit" Daniel muttered, his eyes wide.
Everyone's eyes widened at what they were seeing and some people's jaws dropped.
"Holy shit indeed, Larusso" Johnny muttered with a nod of his head.
Silver narrowed his eyes at what he was seeing, feeling oddly fascinated.
Everyone else wondered what was going on, if this was involved with the hollow, and if the children were going to be alright.
They just hoped that the group had a plan to stop whatever was going on.
"Now that you've returned, brother, you may join us as we claim our power. Our rightful place. And lay waste to all who would deny our master. Are you prepared to prove your loyalty to the Hollow?" the acolyte asked.
"I know what I have to do. I'm not afraid" Will confidently said.
The Acolyte nodded before looking at the rest of the followers and says, "we should begin".
He pulled out a sword which made Daniel's eyes widen more as a gasp escaped his lips.
Gasps filled the theater at seeing the sword in that mans hand.
"Is he seriously going to sacrifice the children?!" Carmen shrieked, her eyes widening with fear.
Her hand immediately went down to her stomach, clutching it protectively, while bringing Miguel to her side and hugged him close.
Miguel said nothing, his eyes trained on the scene with fear, and snuggled close to his mom.
Johnny immediately brought Robby close to him with Robby saying nothing as he held onto his dad tightly.
Sam and Anthony held each other tightly with fear shown in their eyes.
Amanda was going to reach out for her kids, wanting to hug them close to her, but stopped.
She knew how angry her kids were with her, mainly Sam, and that they didn't want her near them.
She knows that means they don't want her hugging them.
As much as it hurts, she knew she deserves it.
So, she stopped herself from and just remained in her seat.
Suddenly, a branch impaled him in the stomach and the man dropped to the ground dead.
It wasn't long before Klaus and Marcel appeared and started attacking the followers that were still alive. Elijah quickly sped over to help and began pulling out the hearts of the followers that ran at him.
"Hey, we got to get the kids. Get the kids!" Vincent yelled.
He ran off to where the kids were and it wasn't long before Hayley and Daniel followed.
Vincent grabbed one of the kids while Hayley snapped the neck of a follower that tried attacking Vincent from behind.
A follower ran at Daniel and Daniel swiftly took his dagger out and used it to slice the guys face. The guy screamed in pain and Daniel spun around, lifting his leg up, and kicked the guy in the face which sent him to the ground.
Another follower ran at him and Daniel was quick to sweep the guy's legs from underneath which sent him to the ground. Daniel pressed his foot to the guy's throat making him gasp and struggle to get free but it wasn't long before he lost consciousness.
"Go dad!" Sam and Anthony yelled.
"Go Sensei!" the Miyagi-Do students yelled.
"Go Daniel/Daniel-san/Larusso!" Mike, Chozen and Johnny yelled.
Amanda sighed in relief as a smile appeared on her face, happy that her husband could take on those followers.
The Cobra Kai students, along with Kim Da-Eun, simply nodded their heads.
Silver, on the other hand, raised an eyebrow at seeing Danny boy press his foot onto the neck of that follower.
It's what he had done to him when they fought each other in Stingray's apartment.
Silver couldn't help but feel impressed at Danny boy using one of his moves.
Daniel tucked his dagger back where it was and grabbed the last kid and carried them to where the others were.
Daniel crouched down and gently laid the last kid down next to the others, a sigh of relief escaping his lips.
"NO!" Vincent screamed.
Daniel turned around and watched as something dragged Klaus and Marcel to the ground on their knees and fire surrounded them. Elijah ran to help but got stopped by an invisible boundary.
"Oh, man, we got this all wrong. They wanted us here" Vincent breathed out in realization.
"Why?" Elijah asked, confused and worried.
"They want to channel your power, and anchor the Hollow to the living world" Vincent told him.
Daniel's eyes widened at that and he looked at Hayley to see she had the same reaction as him.
Everyone in the theater grew tense and sat at the edge of their seats.
While they were glad that the children were saved they were worried about what was going to happen with Klaus and Marcel.
The camera pans over to Vincent, Hayley and Daniel and we see them crouched near the missing children with Elijah standing near them.
"Ok, they're alive" Vincent said.
"Oh thank god" Daniel sighed in relief.
"But these kids are linked to that ritual. We can't free Marcel and Klaus unless we break the spell" Vincent explained.
"How do we stop this?" Elijah asked.
"I don't know. It's a sacrificial ritual. I can't break it unless I kill one of the kids" Vincent said.
"WHAT?!" everyone in the theater shouted.
Everyone's eyes were filled with fear and worry.
Hell, Silver and Kim Da-Eun looked scared and worried.
They're many things, that's for sure, but they aren't alright with the idea of innocent children being sacrificed.
"No! You're not killing those innocent children!" Carmen yelled, her eyes wide with rage and fear.
Those children shouldn't have to be sacrificed. It's not happening.
Rosa placed a hand on her daughter's shoulder, her jaw clenched tightly, as she kept her eyes on the screen.
"There has to be another way" Johnny muttered.
There has to be another way to break the spell to save Klaus and Marcel that doesn't involve killing one of the children.
There just has to be.
"What?! No fucking way are we doing that!" Daniel yelled.
"Agreed. There has to be another way" Hayley added.
Vincent sighed and rubbed his temples as he thought. A few seconds pass and he slowly pointed over to the ritual.
"Yeah, um so these kids are powering that ritual. But there might be a loophole, if I link it to you" Vincent pointed at Elijah
"Are you suggesting we take my life?" Elijah asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
"I'm suggesting we stake you with wood. You die, temporarily, and that might be enough to break the spell" Vincent told him.
"Do it. If that's the only way then do it" Carmen urged.
Just as long as those children don't have to die then they better do it and they better do it now.
Vincent held his hand out to the noble original and Elijah stepped closer to him and took his hand as Hayley snapped off a tree branch.
"Mare. Mare leurs. Mare leurs esprits. Mare leurs esprits! Mare leurs esprits! Mare leurs esprits! Mare leurs esprits!" Vincent chanted.
Elijah gritted his teeth as Vincent's eyes locked onto Hayley.
"Hayley, do it now!" Vincent yelled.
Hayley plunged the branch into Elijah's chest and he gasped, his skin turning grey as he desiccated, before he started to fall as Hayley held him while falling to the ground with him.
Daniel watched as the flames died out and the clearing went dark and Vincent let out a sigh as he stopped the spell.
"Did it work?" Daniel asked the male witch.
"Yeah" Vincent nodded.
Everyone released loud sighs of relief and leaned back against their seats.
"Thank god" Carmen said, a smile forming on her face.
Rosa nodded in agreement as she brought her daughter and her grandson into a hug.
Carmen and Miguel hugged her back with Carmen kissing her son on the head.
Johnny hugged his son tighter, ruffling his hair, to which Robby laughed and hugged his dad tighter.
Sam and Anthony hugged each other for a little while longer before pulling away with the smiles still present on their faces.
Amanda glanced at her kids with a small smile before looking away.
Everyone was glad that none of the children were sacrificed and that Klaus and Marcel were alright.
Daniel breathed out a sigh of relief as did Hayley and she quickly took out the stake from Elijah's chest.
Footsteps are heard and everyone turned around to see Klaus and Marcel walking towards them.
As the men walked closer to the others Daniel found himself running towards them and when he was close he threw himself at Klaus and hugged him.
Klaus coughed in surprise, his arms extended out, as he looked at Daniel with a puzzled look.
"Love, what are you doing?" Klaus asked.
"I know you're old but you should be smart enough to know I'm hugging you" Daniel sarcastically said.
Marcel snorted, as did Hayley and Vincent, while Klaus glared at the three of them before looking back at Daniel.
Everyone either snorted or laughed at Daniel's sarcastic comment.
Hell, even Silver and Kim Da-Eun felt their lips twitch upwards a little.
"You know, I think I might grow to like Larusso like this" Johnny grinned.
He's not sure why but ever since watching Larusso's new life, from the first episode, he's changed.
Not to mention the times he's been protective and sarcastic.
And he likes seeing that side of Larusso, mainly the sarcastic part, since the way he was when he was still living in Los Angeles was completely different than how he is now.
Larusso seems to have really changed and, possibly, for the better.
"Worried about me, huh?" Klaus asked, amused.
"Yes and, believe it or not, I'm glad you're alright" Daniel whispered.
Klaus's eyes softened and, ignoring the way his heart fluttered a little, he slowly wrapped his arms around Daniel and hugged him back.
"Thank you, love" Klaus whispered.
Daniel nodded and just tightened his hold a little which Klaus didn't mind as he continued hugging him.
As the screen turned black, indicating that the episode was over, everyone couldn't help but smile.
They were glad that despite how rough this episode was at least everyone made it out alive.
Not to mention the scene between Klaus and Daniel was pretty sweet especially with how concerned Daniel was for Klaus.
They could tell that the two men were going to form a great friendship.
Carmen, on the other hand, narrowed her eyes at the scene between Klaus and Daniel.
It felt like Daniel was worried for Klaus in a sense that isn't just friendship.
She wants to be wrong, she really does, but she has a feeling that Daniel might be developing some feelings for Klaus.
And she's not sure how to handle that.
And she sure as hell doesn't know what's going to happen when the others realize it.
