Chapter Twenty Eight - His Sunshine

Early Summertime.

"You look stunning." My grandmother murmurs, a little emotionally, as she walks into the room.

"Thank you grandma." I smile brightly and take her hand.

Aria follows in after and she perks up in excitement. "You look like a princess mum!"

That makes everyone laugh and I bring her close to kiss her cheek. "Thank you, so do you."

Today is mine and Theo's wedding day. We're at our beautiful venue by Lake Austin in an Italian style villa. Butterflies flutter in my tummy like crazy and I'm itching to see him again. I've been getting ready in one of the rooms with Jessica, Poppy and Jacob keeping me company.

My sisters, Donna and Dixie, are here also. We met up shortly after I got engaged and talked everything out. They expressed how apologetic and guilty they felt for not listening to me. We've been working on building our relationship again and have made great progress so I invited them to the wedding as my bridesmaids too.

I watch as Jessica and Jacob guide Aria and my grandmother to get their hair and makeup done. The two women getting me ready finally tell me to get my dress on and I thank them before walking into the separate room.

The bodice of my dress is made of intricate French lace with a high neckline. It has an open back with a full skirt embroidered using pearls and crystals for beading. I feel so beautiful when I change into it and walk towards the mirror. The light makeup suits it perfectly and my hair is styled to rest on my shoulder and back.

"Oh wow!" Everyone echoes when I walk out and I laugh at their amazed reactions.

"Sorry, couldn't resist taking a peek." Elena winks as she walks in with Ella and Zoe. "You look gorgeous Charlie."

Everyone nods in agreement and compliment me. I blush before replying, "Thank you everyone."

"Excited? Nervous?" Jacob grins and I shrug half-heartedly.

"Both. I can't wait to see him."

They tease the hell out of me and I roll my eyes before Jessica says it's time. Everyone leaves the room and I hug Aria before she follows Poppy out. My grandmother turns to me and takes my hands in hers. I smile gently when I notice the tears brimming her eyes.

"Don't cry." I whisper before wiping away a traitorous tear.

"I wish your grandpa was here to see you." She sniffles as she rapidly blinks the tears away. "You look so beautiful Charlotte and I'm so proud of the woman you've become. Theodore is a lucky man to have you."

"Thank you." I grin before hugging her tightly. "I love you grandma. I wish grandpa were here too but I'm sure he's watching over us."

"Yes, and I love you too baby." She whispers before pulling away. "Now...let's go get you married."

I laugh at her excitement before we make our way out into the hall. There's double doors leading outside where me and Theo will be married. Aria waves at us with a bright smile as she stands in front of them with a basket of rose petals. We hug and kiss each other on the cheek one last time before she takes her position.

I loop my arm through my grandmothers as Aria walks down the stairs leaving flower petals behind her. Stepping outside my gaze immediately yearns for Theo and I relax when they meet pale green orbs. He smiles ever so handsomely as he takes my breath away in a black tux. I can't believe he's truly mine.

Theo stands with the groomsmen and bridesmaids on either side of him. There's a large canopy of trees above them with rays of sunshine peeking through. The calm waters of Lake Austin serves as our backdrop with the reflection of fluffy white clouds drifting across the blue sky. I walk down the steps covered with a translucent white aisle runner and décor lining the edges. The guests on either side of me send me excited smiles before I get to the last step.

My grandmother and I exchange a kiss on the cheek before she gives me away to Theo. He takes my hands in his and we smile excitedly at each other. He mouths "beautiful" to me and I blush just as the officiator starts. My gaze flickers to our guests and I wink at Aria when she waves discreetly.

The ceremony flies by and we say our vows before making it official. He smiles after I say, "I do," before repeating it himself. I melt in his arms when his lips come crashing down on mine. Everyone claps and erupts into cheers as we turn to face them. We make our way down the aisle and he squeezes my hand tightly.

"You're forever mine to love Charlotte Jackson." He murmurs into my ear and I smile softly.

"As you are mine." I kiss his cheek before looping my arm through his.

We get some pictures taken of us, and with our families and friends before joining everyone outside. Multiple string lights are held up from the walls off the villa down to where we're having dinner. Our guests take their seats along a stoned path lined with long tables and cheer as we walk up to them.

As dinner is served our families and friends make some toasts, a few which have us laughing too hard and others that bring out traitorous tears. After cutting the cake me and Theo have our first dance on the villa's terrace to our favorite song.

I end up chuckling at a sudden memory as I wind my arms around his neck. "This reminds me of you asking me to dance when we had that date night at my place."

"Look how far we've come." He laughs before taking my hand and twirling me.

"I'm so happy that we found each other. I can't imagine a life without you Theo." I murmur and he smiles tenderly.

"Neither can I. Without you there is no me Char."

We grin like lovesick fools before kissing sweetly. I laugh as everyone joins in to dance and spot Judah getting everyone out of their chairs with the help of Hunter. Me and Theo never lose sight of each other as we're whisked away on our feet by several people.

Although Aria's attention is being in the playroom we set up for the children she still giggles whenever I drag her out to dance with me. By the end of the night my skin is flushed and rosy because of how much I've enjoyed myself.

"Ready to go for our honeymoon?" Theo asks when he finds me later in the evening.

"Sure, let me say goodbye to Aria and grandma." I nod before he intertwines our hands.

We find them together and I hug them tightly. Aria's going to be staying with my grandmother but I know Michelle will either visit or call them over to the ranch regularly too. The rest of our family and friends catch on and walk us out to our car. After ensuring our luggage is in there we wave goodbye before getting in and driving off to the airport.

Ryder and Ella have kindly offered us their private jet so after passing through security checks we don't have to wait long. Me and Theo change into comfortable clothing before I join him by the window seats.

"You're too far away, come here." He takes my hand and I roll my eyes playfully as I take a seat beside him.

"I was right in front of you."

"Well, I want my wife next to me for the long trip." He winks cheekily and I smile when he kisses me fiercely.

The plane takes off and I smile excitedly which makes him laugh. We're travelling to Fiji first for a week before splitting the rest of our holiday between Australia and New Zealand. Although the journey is going to be very long I can't wait to spend some time with Theo away from work.

We finally land on Laucala Island and arrive at our private villa. There's luscious greenery everywhere with gorgeous beaches and we're high up on a cliff with a private pool to the side. I walk further to see lounging areas on either side and other villas in the distance which gives us a lot of privacy.

The staff have kindly arranged breakfast for us and after thanking them they leave us be. I sigh contently after taking a seat on the couch with the view of the still waters ahead of us. Theo kisses my temple before we dig into the delicious food.

"Want to go for a dip after?" I nod towards the pool and he agrees.

After finishing breakfast, we lounge around for a while before I change into a white bikini and let my hair down. I walk out to the pool and chuckle when Theo dives in. He grins when he resurfaces before I jump in. When I come up for air I'm immediately pulled into a fierce kiss that has me holding onto him tightly.

"You look so gorgeous." He murmurs and I flush over the intensity in his eyes.

I splash him and swim away but he catches up to me quickly. Our fingertips skim along each other's bodies teasingly whenever we pass. We stay in the pool for a while before I decide to relax on the lounge chairs. That doesn't last long though because a few minutes later I open my eyes to catch Theo by the edge of the pool staring at me.

His eyes are burning with desire as they roam my body and I'm instantly wet. He pulls himself up and I bite my lip when his muscles flex. Water droplets run down his body and make me want to replace them with my hands. I tense because of the look on his face before hopping off the chair with a mischievous smile.

"Char, come back here!" He calls and I squeal when he runs after me.

I can't stop my laughter as he chases me inside before pinning me to our bedroom's wall. Our breaths mingle as we pant and he presses himself against me. My eyes widen when I feel how hard he is before they flutter shut when he grinds against me.

"Eyes on me." He murmurs huskily into my ear before nipping the skin behind it.

"Theo..." I moan breathlessly when he drags my bottoms off.

"Open your legs." He orders and I whimper when his hands roam up my legs. "Are you wet for me sweetheart?"

I gasp when he kneels and pulls my leg over his shoulder. His tongue greets my weeping core and he hums in satisfaction. My back arches and his name escapes my lips in a strangled cry. He plays no games and brings me to the height of bliss within minutes. My legs tremble when I come down from my high and I tangle my hands into his hair.

"Theo! Fuck!" I scream hoarsely as he absolutely devours me against the wall.

Immediately he takes off his clothes and my bikini top, throwing them haphazardly behind us. He hurriedly rips a condom packet with his teeth which has my core throbbing in desire before putting it on. I yelp when he hoists me onto his waist and wrap my legs around him tightly. He groans huskily when he pushes me up against the wall before thrusting into me. My nails dig into his back as he drives into me harder and deeper.

"Shit! Fuck Char, you feel so good!" He curses before turning and laying me on the bed. He stops right when I'm close and I whine in protest. I hear his deep chuckle as he peppers kisses to every inch of skin he can find. "Close sunshine?"

"Yes – shit!" I gasp when his thrusts turn harder and go deeper. "Please...don't stop!"

"Trust me I don't plan to." He smiles as the bed squeaks and the headboard slams against the wall loudly. "We're not leaving this bed until tomorrow."

I moan at the idea of that, knowing he's done it before. Intense pleasure courses through every nerve and I sigh when he presses his lips to mine.

"Let go Charlotte." He murmurs against my lips.

"Theo..." I bite my lip hard when he takes hold of my hips and pins them down. "Please..."

I don't even know what I'm begging for but he delivers it regardless. Cries and moans of pleasure echo in the room. We reach our peak together and our names escape each other's lips in screams. His lips press against mine ever so softly and I smile at the tenderness. Running my fingertips up his heated skin I cup his face and kiss him deeply, sweet yet intense passion making my toes curl. He moans huskily and pulls me impossibly closer. The sound alone makes me want him again.

"Round two?" I ask breathlessly when we pull away.

He grins devilishly and in an instant I'm straddling his hips. I squeal before laughing when he peppers kisses to my face and across my chest. "Round two sunshine. There's no way we're stopping just yet."

I cry out when he thrusts himself inside me harshly. He grabs the back of my neck to pull me closer. My eyelids flutter shut when he reaches a deeper angle but a stinging nip on my bottom lip makes them snap open.

"Oops." I smile cheekily and bite my lip. He grips my hips, lifts me up and slams me down while grinding himself against me. My eyes widen in response and I cry out at the intensity of pleasure. "Fuck!"

"Oops." He chuckles devilishly and I whimper needily in response. "More?"

I nod and a soft groan escapes me as I rest my forehead against his. I writhe above him as pants escape me, my nails digging into his skin.

"I need words Char."

"More – I need more Theo! Please!" I beg and squirm when his hands run up the length of my body.

"Hold onto the headboard." He orders and I hesitate before doing as he says. "Don't let go. I want you to finish with me, not before nor after...understood?"

"Yes." 

My fingers tighten on the headboard as he holds my hips down to meet every thrust. His grunts and groans echo in the room, he doesn't let up for even one second. I quickly become a writhing mess above him.

"Oh god, faster Theo!" I moan as the knot in my belly begins to tighten.

"Fuck!" He hisses as he increases his speed which has me seeing stars. "So, fucking good Char."

"T-Theo...I need to –"

"Me too Char." He groans as he grasps my chin and kisses me fiercely. 

I whimper as I reach my peak causing my hips to jerk harshly. He continues thrusting in me as he follows right after and my eyes roll closed when he slows down. I groan when he slips out of me and discards his condom. He hushes me softly and peppers kisses to my flushed skin before kissing me sweetly. He moves to pull away but I shake my head with a low whine. I pull him back to me and curl up to him which makes him smile. He wraps an arm around my waist before leaving a lingering kiss on my forehead.

"Rest sunshine. I'm right here." He mumbles as my eyes close.

I sigh contently as his fingertips caress my back. Cuddling up to him I press a kiss to his chest and smile when his grip on me tightens. I end up falling asleep in minutes with the feeling of his touch and kisses on my skin.

We eventually get around to exploring the island and Fiji on day two. A lot of our time, when we're not in the bedroom, is spent soaking up the sun outside and being in the crystal-clear water. The food is amazing and the spa is in a heavenly location among the gardens with lily ponds. We take advantage of all the water sports, the golf course and drift out to sea daily on a boat to watch the sunset.

Eventually the time comes to jet off on our next adventure. Based on how wonderful Fiji was I'm excited knowing that Australia and New Zealand will be too. Especially with Theo by my side.
