"Mama, I'm going to work!" You yelled, grabbing your purse and getting your shoes on as you rushed out the door. Your mom walked out the bedroom door confused with messy hair and then realized what was happening.
"Alright, have a good day. Remember, mom loves you!" She yelled back as you were already out the door. You hurried up to catch the bus and made it finally on time to the cafe where you worked.
"There you are! Again late?" Your boss chirped but with a smile on his face. You were relieved that he didn't look like he was in a bad mood this time.
"I'm so sorry," you bowed, apologizing to the man in front of you. "I couldn't sleep last night."
"It's fine. I know it can be very stressful with a kid," he said. "Drink some coffee. It's on the house. You look like you haven't eaten anything."
"Yeah, I ran out," you awkwardly smiled as he started making some coffee. Once he was done he handed it over to you.
"Thank you, Mr. Jeon," you smiled. It's not like you and Jungkook weren't close but you just liked to call him that since he was your boss.
"It's Jungkook! How many times do I have to tell you?" He chuckled. "Get used to it already! And get to work right after you're done. My friends are coming over to visit and they want to see how the business is going so I need you to help me impress them with some of the good stuff."
You nodded with a smile. He walked away and started his job as you finished your coffee. You then worked on something special for his friends that were about to arrive at the cafe. Suddenly, you noticed Jungkook greeting some people at the entrance. His friends had arrived.
He took them over to a table for eight even though they were only seven of them including him. Jungkook signaled you to come closer and you walked to them and bowed.
"She's my number one employee, Y/n. Y/n, meet my brothers," he smiled. You always heard him talking about those guys who he considered family to him. It warmed your heart.
"Nice meeting you all," you smiled. "I'll get you some drinks in a minute."
"Wait Y/n-" Jungkook said. You turned to face him when you heard his voice. "When you come back, sit down here with us. It's still early so no customers are arriving. You can relax here for a few minutes."
"Ah thank you," you bowed and walked away. When you got the drinks and came back you served it to them and sat on the empty chair. It was a bit awkward for you but you tried to act normal.
"So, Jimin, how's your company going now?" Jungkook asked, leaning back on the chair.
"We are doing this project to help little kids around the world to live in a safer environment. I can't say much about it but we hope it works," he said. His words caught your attention as you were met eye to eye with him once you looked up.
"That's very generous," you said. "I honestly get very touched with things like that. I really love kids. I have a three year old daughter."
"Really?" Jimin wondered. He thought you looked so much younger than him to be a mother, or to be married perhaps. "How old are you?"
"I am twenty years old."
You suddenly chuckled when his eyes went wide as he almost choked on his drink. He couldn't believe it whatsoever. His whole life he had never found or believed in true love and to see someone in front of him that he believed to be married and in a happy family at such a young age shocked him.
"He's only shocked cause he is twenty- four and single," Jungkook chuckled. "Right hyung?"
"But she looks so young," Jimin said, traumatized.
Jungkook smirked, "If you want to get to know each other more then guys let's get going. Jimin, you should stay. I'd like to show the others around."
Jimin mentally cursed his younger friend, but then turned to face you once they left. It was making you a bit uncomfortable that Jungkook left you alone on that topic.
Jimin then realized something that troubled his mind, "I'm sorry for this next question that I'm going to ask since I believe it will be a little inappropriate at the moment but you gave birth at seventeen?"
Your eyes widened as you looked at him. When you were seventeen things weren't that great.
"Um- I'd rather not talk about it."
He nodded, "I'm so sorry for that absurd question. I really apologize. I really love kids and found your case a bit interesting or distinct. I've never met a young mom except for my own."
"Really, how old is she?"
"Was," he sighed. "She passed away at forty this year. I'm twenty-four right now."
Your eyes widened for the third time in the day hearing that, "She was sixteen when she had you?"
He nodded, "I spent my life wondering where my father was and when I grew up I figured out he was a rapist. Sometimes I just wish I wasn't born so my mom couldn't have gone through that or at least for it all to be different."
A tear escaped down your cheek hearing that story. It made you remember how things were back in high school.
"What happened to her? If you mind me asking, how come she died so young?"
"She was a cancer patient and it grew a bit too strong," he sighed. "But it's alright, we don't have to talk about that."
He still wanted to figure out what happened to you so he searched your fingers for a ring. He found nothing.
"I thought I was the only one out there," you mumbled. "I felt alone for a long time. Raising a daughter with just my mom wasn't easy."
Jimin put the clues together and noticed what happened. He felt pity but not only that he felt anger. He hated humans who would do those sorts of things to poor souls out there. It made him furious.
He reached out and held your hand, "Look, Y/n. I know we just met but I want to tell you that you are not alone. Whatever you are going through you are strong enough to fight through it. Your daughter needs you."
"But I can't be a father to her. I can only be a mother. She needs the love of parents and I'm afraid that she's going to be bullied if others figure out that she has no father."
"Hey, not everyone has a perfect family," he said. "I went through that and it did hurt but my mom was always there for me when I needed her. Be there for your daughter cause it's going to get difficult at times but that's just what family is about."

"Mama!" She yelled. She hugged your legs as Jimin chuckled. Your mom stood at the front of the door and just watched the scene. You picked Mina up in your arms as she looked confused at the guy that was standing with you. "Is it daddy?"
