Rajat's eyes softened as he gazed at Savi's sleeping form. He knew his confession had been overwhelming for her, and he respected her need for escape.

He quietly settled in beside her, opening his laptop to distract himself from the turmoil of emotions swirling inside him.

As he worked, Rajat couldn't help but steal glances at Savi. She was restless, her body twitching and jerking as if she was struggling against some unseen force.

Rajat's concern deepened as he watched her. Was she having a nightmare? He gently reached out, his hand hovering over her shoulder, hesitant to disturb her.

Savi's face contorted in distress, her lips parted in a silent cry. Rajat's heart ached as he realized she was indeed trapped in a nightmare.

Savi's eyes snapped open, her chest heaving as she gasped for air. She was disoriented, her mind foggy from the remnants of the nightmare.

Rajat's face came into focus, his eyes filled with concern as he gazed at her. "Savi, are you okay?" he asked softly, his hand reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair behind her ear.

Savi's eyes locked onto Rajat's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Savi's mind was still reeling from the nightmare, but Rajat's calm and gentle demeanor slowly brought her back to reality.

She took a deep breath, trying to shake off the lingering fear. "I...I'm fine," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.

Rajat's expression softened, and he nodded. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked, his voice low and gentle.

Savi forced a weak smile, trying to downplay the intensity of her nightmare. "It wasn't a nightmare," she said, her voice laced with a hint of unconvincing nonchalance. "I just...had a weird dream, that's all."

Rajat's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze piercing as he searched Savi's face. He didn't look convinced.

Savi's eyes widened in surprise as Rajat's words cut through her facade. "Savi, from the day we married, I've seen you suffering in your sleep," he said, his voice low and gentle, but laced with a hint of frustration. "And I'm not a fool, I can tell it's a nightmare."

Savi felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she realized Rajat had been aware of her nightmares all along. She had thought she was hiding them so well, but Rajat's words made her realize she hadn't been fooling him at all.

Rajat's eyes locked onto hers, filled with a deep concern and understanding. "Why don't you tell me what's haunting you, Savi?" he asked, his voice soft and coaxing.

Savi's eyes welled up with tears as Rajat's words touched her heart. He had set aside his laptop and was now sitting in front of her, his eyes locked onto hers with a deep sincerity.

"I said I love you, not just to get close to you," Rajat said, his voice filled with emotion. "I said it because I care for you, because I want to share your problems, your burdens. You can tell me, Savi. What bothers you?"

Rajat's words were like a gentle breeze on a summer day, soothing and calming. Savi felt her defenses crumbling, felt the weight of her secrets and fears pressing down on her.

She looked into Rajat's eyes, searching for reassurance, for a guarantee that he would understand, that he would be there for her. And what she saw there gave her the courage to take a step forward, to share her secrets with him.

Rajat's eyes filled with compassion as Savi's words poured out. "I got these nightmares from the time I lost my parents in childhood," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But at that time, I used to get them once a month."

Rajat's grip on Savi's hands tightened, his eyes filled with a deep sadness. "And then when I lost my previous husband and my child..." Savi's voice trailed off, her eyes welling up with tears.

Rajat's face contorted in anguish, his heart aching for the pain Savi had endured. "You started getting them more often," he finished for her, his voice barely above a whisper.

Savi nodded, a single tear rolling down her cheek. Rajat's thumb gently brushed it away, his touch sending a wave of comfort through her.

" And from the time, I saved Sai from that fire incident..." she statef

Rajat's eyes widened in understanding, his face pale with the realization of what Savi had been going through. "And from the time you saved Sai from that fire incident..." he whispered, his voice filled with empathy.

Savi nodded, her eyes haunted by the memories. "I get them almost daily," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion.

Rajat's arms enveloped Savi, pulling her close as he held her trembling body. "I'm so sorry, Savi," he whispered, his voice filled with regret and compassion. "I had no idea it was this bad."

Savi's voice was barely audible, her words trembling with emotion. "I hear the cries of the baby I lost," she whispered, her eyes welling up with tears.

Rajat's hold on her tightened, his heart aching with sorrow. He couldn't imagine the pain and grief Savi had endured, the loss of a child, the trauma of the fire incident, the weight of her nightmares.

He held her close, his cheek against her hair, his arms wrapped around her like a shield. "I'm here, Savi," he whispered, his voice filled with conviction. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere, promise."

" Don't promise me the moon, Rajat. Ishaan also used to promise me to be with me always."

Rajat's face contorted in pain as he heard Savi's words. He felt a pang of sadness, knowing that Savi's past experiences had left her with deep scars.

"I'm sorry, Savi," Rajat whispered, his voice filled with regret. "I didn't mean to remind you of Ishaan. I just want you to know that I'm here for you, and I care about you deeply."

Savi's eyes welled up with tears, her voice trembling. "Don't promise me something you might not be able to keep, Rajat. I'm scared of losing someone again. I'm scared of being left alone."

Rajat's heart ached with sorrow, knowing that Savi's fear was rooted in her past experiences. He took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully. "Savi, I understand your fear. But I want you to know that I'm committed to our relationship, to our family. I'll do everything in my power to be there for you, to support you."

Savi's gaze drifted, her eyes avoiding Rajat's as she spoke in a barely audible whisper. "I'm already thinking of taking therapies, Rajat. Don't bother yourself for me." Her voice was laced with a hint of detachment, a subtle attempt to push Rajat away.

Rajat's face fell, his eyes clouding with concern. He felt a pang in his chest, sensing the depth of Savi's emotional pain. His heart ached with the desire to reach out, to comfort her, to erase the anguish etched on her face.

He leaned forward, his eyes locked onto hers, searching for a glimmer of connection. "Savi, please," he whispered, his voice trembling with emotion. "Don't push me away. Let me be here for you."

Savi's eyes flashed with a hint of vulnerability, and for a moment, Rajat thought he saw a glimmer of hope. But it was quickly extinguished, replaced by a mask of determination.

Rajat's hands instinctively reached out, his fingers brushing against Savi's. The touch sent a jolt of electricity through him, and he felt his heart skip a beat. He yearned to hold her close, to envelop her in his arms, to shield her from the demons that haunted her.

But Savi's words held him back, a gentle yet firm reminder that she needed space. Rajat's hands retreated, his fingers lingering on the edge of her hand before pulling away. He sat back, his eyes never leaving Savi's face, his heart heavy with the weight of her unspoken pain.
