Sai's eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked up at Savi. "Mumma, I want ice cream!" she exclaimed, her small voice filled with anticipation.

Savi smiled, trying to resist Sai's charms. "No, beta, you can't have ice cream now. You'll spoil your dinner."

Sai's face scrunched up in a pout, and she crossed her arms over her chest. "But whyyyy, Mumma? I want ice cream!" she whined, her voice rising in protest.

Savi chuckled, trying to hold firm. "Because, Sai, ice cream is a treat, and you can't have it every day."

Sai's eyes narrowed, and she looked up at Savi with a mischievous glint. "But I'll be good, Mumma! I promise!" she said, her small voice filled with persuasion.

Savi raised an eyebrow, trying to resist Sai's cute antics. "Oh, really? And what makes you think you'll be good?" she asked, her voice teasing.

Sai thought for a moment, her small face scrunched up in concentration. Then, a bright smile spread across her face. "I'll give you a big hug, Mumma! And I'll kiss you!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around Savi's neck.

Savi's heart melted at Sai's words, but she tried to hold firm. "Sai, beta, I already said no..." she began.

But Sai was relentless. "Pleeease, Mumma? Just one scoop? I'll be the bestest girl ever!" she begged, her big brown eyes looking up at Savi with pleading.

Just as Savi was about to cave in, Rajat walked into the room, a smile on his face. "Hey, what's going on here?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

Sai's face lit up as she saw Rajat. "Papa! Mumma won't give me ice cream!" she exclaimed, running to Rajat and throwing her arms around his neck.

Rajat chuckled and picked Sai up in his arms. "Well, I think ice cream sounds like a great idea," he said, smiling at Sai.

Savi's eyes widened in exasperation as she looked at Rajat. "Rajat, I already said no..." she began.

But Rajat just shrugged and smiled. "Come on, Savi. It's just one scoop. Don't be so strict," he teased.

Savi's eyes narrowed as she looked at Rajat, feeling a pang of frustration. "You're not helping," she said, her voice dry.

Rajat just chuckled and winked at Sai. "Don't worry, kiddo. Papa's got your back," he said, smiling.

Sai squealed with delight and hugged Rajat tightly. "Thank you, Papa!" she exclaimed.

Savi watched the exchange, feeling a twinge of annoyance. Rajat smiled and said, "Let's go, my little munchkin!" He headed towards the door with Sai in his arms, who was giggling with excitement.

As they were about to leave, Sai turned around and showed her teeth to Savi, making a funny face. Savi rolled her eyes and shook her head, a hint of a smile on her face.

Savi threw up her hands in mock surrender. "Do whatever you all want," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm just the villainous mom who tries to spoil all the fun."

Rajat chuckled and winked at Savi. "Don't be like that, Savi," he said, teasingly. "We'll bring you back some ice cream."

Savi raised an eyebrow. "I don't want your ice cream," she said, trying to sound stern.

Sai turned around in Rajat's arms and looked back at Savi with a sweet smile. "Mumma, aap bhi chalo!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Savi was about to deny, shaking her head and saying "No, beta, you two go ahead..."

But before she could finish, Rajat looked at her with his puppy eyes, his expression pleading. "Please come with us, Savi," he said, his voice soft and persuasive.

Savi's heart skipped a beat as she looked into Rajat's eyes. She felt a flutter in her chest, and her resolve weakened. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded slowly. "Okay, fine. I'll come," she said, trying to sound casual despite the turmoil inside her.

Rajat's face lit up with a bright smile, and he nodded triumphantly. "Great! Let's go!" he exclaimed, leading the way out of the house with Sai in his arms and Savi following behind.

As they drove to the ice cream parlor, Savi sat in the front seat, trying to maintain a sense of authority. "Remember, Sai, not more than a scoop," she said, turning around to look at Sai, who was bouncing up and down with excitement in the backseat.

Rajat, who was driving, chuckled and glanced at Savi sideways. "Come on, Savi, don't be so strict," he teased. "It's just ice cream."

Savi shot Rajat a mock-annoyed look. "Someone has to be the adult here," she said, smiling wryly.

Sai, who was listening to the exchange, giggled and leaned forward, her eyes shining with mischief. "Papa, you're on my side, right?" she asked, her voice full of hope.

Rajat grinned and met Sai's eyes in the rearview mirror. "Always, kiddo," he said, winking at her.

Sai giggled and looked at Savi, who was trying to maintain a stern expression. Rajat chuckled and said to Sai, "You brought your mumma, and now she won't listen to you, Sai."

Sai's eyes widened with mock alarm, and she looked at Savi with a dramatic expression. "Mumma, you're not listening to me?" she asked, her voice filled with playful accusation.

Savi rolled her eyes good-naturedly and smiled at Sai. "I'm just trying to be the voice of reason, beta," she said, laughing.

Rajat grinned and glanced at Savi sideways. "Good luck with that," he teased, chuckling.

As Rajat stopped the car at the ice cream parlor, he turned around and asked, "What flavors do these two beautiful ladies want?"

Sai's eyes lit up, and she began to count on her fingers, "Chocolate, Butterscotch, Strawberry, Vanilla, Mango, Pineapple...".

Savi looked at Sai's back, a hint of exasperation in her voice, "Sai, only one scoop, remember?".

Sai turned around, her face scrunched up in a pleading expression, "But Mumma, I want to try all of them!".

Rajat chuckled and intervened, "Why don't we get a few different flavors, and you can try a little bit of each?".

Sai's face lit up, and she exclaimed, "Yay! Thank you, Papa!".

Savi shot Rajat a look, as if to say, "You're not helping."

Savi felt a pang of disappointment as she realized that Rajat didn't seem to care about her words. It was as if he was undermining her authority in front of Sai. She looked away, trying to hide her feelings.

Just then, Rajat returned with the ice creams and handed all icecreams to Savi. "Here you go," he said, smiling.

As he handed Sai her ice cream, he said, "Sai, you will eat only one scoop daily, okay? Listen to your mumma."

Sai nodded, looking up at Rajat with big eyes. "Okay, Papa," she said, taking a lick of her ice cream.

Savi looked at Rajat, feeling a mix of emotions. Rajat caught her eye and smiled, but Savi just looked away.

On other side of city...

Aashika's eyes welled up with tears as Kiaan ran towards her in the meeting room of the jail. He hugged her tightly, and she felt a surge of love and longing.

"Mumma, I missed you so much!" Kiaan exclaimed, his small voice filled with emotion.

Aashika's eyes filled with tears as she hugged Kiaan back. "I missed you too, baby," she whispered, trying to hold back her tears.

"Are you fine with your papa?" Aashika asked, trying to sound calm.

"Yes, Mumma; Papa is taking good care of me," Kiaan replied.

"Is everyone loving you there?" Aashika asked, her heart aching with the thought of Kiaan being with Rajat and his new family.

"Yes, Mumma, everyone loves me," Kiaan said with a smile. "Especially Savi Aunty. She cares for me a lot."

Aashika's heart skipped a beat as she heard Kiaan mention Savi Aunty. "Who is Savi Aunty, baby?" she asked, trying to sound casual.

"She is Sai's Mumma and Papa's wife," Kiaan replied innocently.

Aashika felt like she had been punched in the gut. Rajat had remarried. The hope she had been holding onto, the hope that she could somehow get her family back, was shattered.

Aashika's eyes welled up with tears as she looked at Kiaan, trying to process the information he had just shared. She felt a pang of jealousy and regret, wondering what could have been if she had made different choices.

Kiaan, sensing his mother's distress, looked up at her with concern. "Mumma, what's wrong?" he asked, his small voice filled with worry.

Aashika forced a smile, not wanting to burden Kiaan with her own emotions. "Nothing, baby," she said, hugging him tightly. "I'm so sorry...."

Kiaan looked up at Aashika with confusion, not understanding why his mother was apologizing. "Mumma, what do you mean?" he asked, his small voice filled with concern.

Aashika took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to explain. "I mean, baby, that I made some mistakes, and they hurt you and Papa," she said, her voice cracking with emotion.

Kiaan's expression softened, and he hugged Aashika tightly. "Mumma, I love you," he said, his small voice filled with conviction.

Aashika felt a lump form in her throat as she hugged Kiaan back. "I love you too, baby," she whispered, tears streaming down her face. "And I'm sorry for not being there for you when you needed me."
