33) Rajat and Savi, Wedding night

Savi couldn't help but giggle as she listened to the absurd conversation between Rajat and Lucky. She was inside the room but she could hear it all.

"I'm not giving you nek, Lucky!" Rajat exclaimed, his voice firm but amused.

"But why not, bhai?" Lucky whined, his tone playful. "I want to take nek from you so that you can go to your room... and finally give Savi Bhabhi some alone time!"

Savi's eyes widened in surprise, and she clapped her hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh. She couldn't believe Lucky's audacity!

Rajat chuckled and shook his head. "You're impossible, Lucky. Fine, take your nek... but don't think this means I'm going to let you get away with all the teasing you've been doing today!"

Lucky grinned triumphantly and snatched the nek from Rajat's hand. "Ha! I got it, I got it!" he exclaimed, doing a little victory dance.

Savi couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. She was glad that her new family was so playful and loving... even if they were a little quirky at times!

Rajat's eyes sparkled with mischief as he gazed at Lucky. "Saale, teri shaadi mein tujhe dekhta hoon," he said, his voice dripping with amusement.

Lucky's grin faltered for a moment, and he looked taken aback. "Bhai, you're not going to get me married off just yet, are you?" he asked, his voice laced with mock horror.

Rajat chuckled and clapped Lucky on the back. "Don't worry, Lucky. I'll make sure to give you plenty of warning before I start searching for a bride for you."

Savi couldn't help but laugh at the banter between Rajat and Lucky. She was glad to see that her new husband had such a good relationship with his brother.

Tara walked up to Rajat, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Rajat bhai, Lucky wants to take nek from you, but I think it's my right, na?"

Lucky protested, "But Tara didi, I asked Rajat bhai first!"

Tara playfully rolled her eyes. "Oh, so now you're trying to steal my right? Rajat bhai, me too!"

Just then, Riddhi chimed in, "Me too, Rajat bhai! I want nek too!"

Rajat threw up his hands in mock exasperation. "Loot lo, aaj hi mujhko sab! Take everything, I'm being looted by my own siblings!"

The siblings burst out laughing.

Rajat chuckled and handed over his wallet to his siblings. "Here, share it all. I'm done being looted for the day."

Tara, Lucky, and Riddhi cheered and high-fived each other, excitedly dividing the contents of the wallet among themselves.

Rajat shook his head, laughing. "I'm going inside. I've had enough of this loot for one day."

As Rajat entered the room, he couldn't help but smile at the sight of Savi sitting on the bed, her legs covered with a duvet, and her eyes fixed on her phone. She was probably watching reels, he thought, chuckling to himself.

But as he approached her, his expression turned serious. He knew he had to have a conversation with Savi, one that he had been putting off for a while now. About Kiaan.

Rajat took a deep breath, feeling a sense of trepidation. He knew this conversation wouldn't be easy, but it was necessary. He sat down beside Savi on the bed, gently taking her phone from her hand.

"Savi, we need to talk," he said, his voice soft but serious.

" I think same Mr Thakkar!" Savi said.

Rajat's eyes narrowed slightly at Savi's formal address, "Mr. Thakkar?" he repeated, his voice low and teasing. "So formal, Savi? I think we're past that now, don't you?"

He leaned in closer, his voice taking on a more intimate tone. "After all, we are married now. You can call me Rajat... or even something more affectionate, if you'd like."

Rajat's eyes locked onto Savi's, his gaze holding a hint of challenge and curiosity. What would she say next?

" You dont tell me about Kiaan! I thought sai is only child of yours." Savi said directly.

Rajat's smile faltered, and his expression turned serious. He had been expecting Savi to bring up Kiaan, but he hadn't expected her to be so direct.

"Savi, I..." Rajat began, his voice hesitant. "I was going to tell you about Kiaan. I promise. It's just...it's complicated."

Rajat took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts. He knew he had to tell Savi the truth, but he was afraid of how she would react.

"Kiaan is...my son," Rajat said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. "My son with my ex-wife, Aashika. And sai is also her daughter."

" I know this Rajat, Mummy ji told me when that news of Arsh Gurjal murder came up on Tv." Savi said.

Rajat's eyes widened in surprise, and he felt a pang of discomfort. Savi knew about Kiaan, and she knew about Aashika, his past.

"Savi, I...I don't know what to say," Rajat stammered, feeling a mix of emotions. He was relieved that Savi already knew about Kiaan, but he was also worried about how she felt about his past.

But before he could say anything else, Savi's words cut through the air, her tone calm but laced with a hint of sadness. "Mummy ji told me that Aashika left you for money. That she didn't care about Kiaan , sai or you."

Rajat's face fell, and he looked away, feeling a wave of shame and regret wash over him. He knew that Savi was speaking the truth, and it hurt him to admit it.

Savi's expression softened as she watched Rajat's face contort in pain. She could see the vulnerability in his eyes, the hurt and the shame. She felt a pang of sympathy for him, and her voice was gentle as she spoke.

The room was silent, the only sound the soft hum of the air conditioner. Savi watched Rajat, her eyes filled with a deep empathy. She could see the pain etched on his face, the lines of sorrow and regret.

Rajat took a deep breath, his chest rising and falling, and began to speak, his voice low and husky. "Savi, you remember the call I got in the temple?"

Savi nodded, her eyes never leaving Rajat's face. "Yes, I remember."

Rajat's eyes seemed to glaze over, lost in thought. "It was Aashika. She said...she said 'save me'. I will not go...but then I heard her yelling at Kiaan to get out. I heard her crying, the violence in her voice...I knew I had to leave. I left for Kiaan's sake, not for hers. I swear."

Savi's eyes filled with tears as she listened to Rajat's words. She could feel the anguish and helplessness emanating from him.

Rajat's voice cracked, and he paused, collecting himself before continuing. "I know I don't love you, Savi. And you don't love me. We married for Sai's sake, and I'm grateful for that. But I want you to know...I have not even a remnant of Aashika in my heart. She...she destroyed me, Savi. But I'm trying to move on, for sai's sake, for my own sake. And now for your and my kiaan sake."

The room was silent again, the only sound Rajat's ragged breathing. Savi's eyes never left his face, her expression soft and compassionate. She could see the depth of Rajat's pain, the scars that still lingered. And in that moment, she felt a deep connection to him, a sense of understanding and empathy.

" Savi. Kiaan is behind the murder of Arsh, not Aashika. She took the blame."

Savi's eyes widened in shock, and she felt like she had been punched in the gut. "Kiaan...killed Arsh?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Rajat suddenly apologise then, and she looked at him, seeing the regret and guilt etched on his face. "I'm sorry for putting all my baggage on you on the first day of our marriage," he said, his voice filled with remorse.

Savi's expression remained calm and neutral, her eyes locked onto Rajat's as she listened to his words. "Tell me, Rajat, from the beginning, what happened at Arsh's house?" she asked, her voice soft but firm.

Rajat took a deep breath, his eyes clouding over as he relived the memories. "When I reached, I saw Kiaan brutally stabbing Arsh. Arsh was torturing Aashika...I guess he had been torturing her for months. My little son couldn't see his mumma in pain, and he...he killed him."

Savi's face didn't flinch, but Rajat could sense a flicker of emotion in her eyes. "But Aashika took the blame," he continued. "So I brought Kiaan here. He's my son too."

Savi nodded slowly, her expression still calm. "It's okay," she said, her voice gentle. "I'm here for Sai, and I can look after Kiaan too. No issue."

"But Rajat, what if someone finds this out ?"

Rajat's eyes snapped back to Savi's, a look of alarm crossing his face. "Savi, you can't tell anyone about this," he said, his voice low and urgent. "If the police find out, Kiaan's life will be ruined. He's just a child, Savi. He doesn't deserve to be punished for something he did to protect his mother."

Rajat's face was etched with worry and concern, his eyes pleading with Savi to keep the secret. "Please, Savi. You have to promise me you won't tell anyone. I'll do anything to protect Kiaan. Anything."

Savi's voice was firm, her eyes locked onto Rajat's. "And you won't tell anyone that I know, either. This will stay between us, Mr. Thakkar."
