17) Sai: in danger
Savi felt a sting of pain and rejection, but as she looked at Rohan's retreating back, she knew that it was for the best. She couldn't build a life with someone on the foundation of lies and deception. She had to be true to herself, even if it meant facing the consequences of her honesty.
With a quiet sense of resolve, Savi stood up, her eyes meeting Isha's. She saw a mix of sadness and pride in her Isha Maa, and she knew that Isha understood her decision. Savi took a deep breath, letting go of the weight of secrets and lies. She was free to be herself, even if it meant being alone.
As the last of the guests departed, Isha's eyes welled up with tears. She turned to Savi, her voice shaking with emotion. "Why can't you understand, Savi? I want what's best for you. My son Ishaan is gone, and you can't spend the rest of your life living in the past, clinging to memories of him."
Isha's words poured out in a torrent, her grief and frustration finally boiling over. "Why can't you understand that I'm trying to protect you? You're young, you have your whole life ahead of you. You deserve to be happy, to have a family of your own. But you're stuck in the past, refusing to let go of what's gone."
Isha's voice cracked as she spoke, her body shaking with sobs. Savi felt a pang of guilt and sadness, knowing that Isha Maa was hurting because of her.
Savi's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed at Isha, her voice trembling with emotion. "Maa, you promised me that you would tell them the truth," she said, her words laced with hurt and betrayal. "But you didn't. You know that if I had married Rohan without telling him about my condition, he would have divorced me the moment he found out. You want that for me, Maa? You want me to go through the pain and humiliation of a broken marriage?"
Savi's tears spilled over, streaming down her face as she confronted Isha. "Why did you do this, Maa? Why did you lie to me and to them?"
Isha collapsed onto the floor, overcome with grief and emotion. She buried her face in her hands and wept, her body shaking with sobs. "Ishaan, why did you leave us?" she wailed, her voice echoing through the empty halls of the house.

Just as it seemed like the storm of Isha's emotions was beginning to subside, a commotion erupted outside. The sound of raised voices and screeching tires filled the air, followed by the crash of something hitting the ground.
The sudden chaos was like a slap in the face, jolting Isha and Savi out of their emotional reverie. They exchanged a worried glance, their hearts racing with anticipation. What was happening outside?
Savi's eyes widened in horror as she gazed out the window. The neighbor's house was engulfed in flames, the fire raging out of control. People were running around, shouting and screaming, but Savi's attention was focused on one thing: finding Sai.
Sai wasn't there!
She scanned the crowd, her heart racing with fear. Where was Sai? She didn't see her anywhere. Savi's breath caught in her throat as she felt a wave of panic wash over her. She pushed open the window and leaned out, her eyes frantically searching the chaos below.
"Sai!" she screamed, her voice hoarse with fear. "Sai, where are you?" But there was no response. The only sound was the roar of the fire and the shouts of the people trying to put it out. Savi's world went dark as she felt herself being pulled into a nightmare.

Rajat's heart skipped a beat as he heard the words "your house is on fire" on the other end of the call. He felt a sudden rush of adrenaline as he sprinted towards his house, his mind racing with thoughts of Sai's safety.
As he turned the corner, he saw the chaos unfolding before his eyes. Flames engulfed the house, and people were running around, shouting and screaming. Rajat's eyes scanned the crowd, frantically searching for Sai.
And then, he saw Savi. She was running towards the burning house, despite the desperate attempts of the people around her to hold her back. Rajat's heart stopped as he watched in horror, his mind screaming "no" as Savi jumped into the inferno.
Without hesitation, Rajat sprinted towards the burning house, his only thought being to save Savi and Sai. He pushed through the crowd, his eyes fixed on the flames, his heart pounding in his chest. But Bhagyashree stops him from entering and said, " Fire brigade is coming. "
As Savi leapt into the inferno, she was met with a blast of scorching heat. But it was the tiny voice in her head that made her heart skip a beat. "Mumma, save me," her unborn child whispered, the words echoing through her mind like a desperate plea.
Savi's eyes welled up with tears as she stumbled through the smoke-filled rooms, her heart pounding in her chest. "Mumma will save you, my baby," she whispered back, her voice barely audible over the roar of the flames. "I won't lose you, Sai. I lost Ishaan, and I lost my baby. But not today. Not when you're my hope."
With newfound determination, Savi pushed through the smoke and flames, her eyes scanning the rooms for any sign of Sai. Finally, she spotted her lying unconscious on the floor. Savi rushed to her side, scooping her up in her arms and cradling her in the folds of her pallu.
As she looked around frantically for an escape route, Savi's eyes landed on the window. It wasn't engulfed in flames, and she knew that if she could just get Sai out of the house, she might have a chance to save her. With a surge of adrenaline, Savi steeled herself for what she knew would be a perilous escape. She was willing to risk everything to save her baby. Today, if it cost her her life, she would save Sai.
As Savi carefully passed Sai through the window to Rajat, who was waiting anxiously below, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had saved her baby. But as she turned to make her own escape, she was met with a wall of flames. The fire had spread, engulfing the window and trapping her inside.
Savi's eyes locked onto Sai's face, now safely in Rajat's arms. She smiled weakly, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Maybe my Ishaan is calling me," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the roar of the flames. The thought brought her a sense of peace, and she felt her heart fill with love for her unborn child and for Ishaan, who had been taken from her too soon.
As the flames closed in around her, Savi's eyes never left Sai's face. She knew that she had given her life to save her baby, and in that moment, she was at peace.
