In the previous chapter :

"Yeah and we seriously need to change that name, don't ya think?"

"True, true." he nodded wisely.

"Do have something in mind?" I asked.

"Surprisingly, yes!" he grinned.

I leaned, "Tell me!"

He leaned forward and whispered enthusiastically "How about #MEAN?"

That was the moment I gave up. Is this guy for real?

JULIA'S POV :

We had dinner and the girls are still not found. I noticed the teachers staff all worried.

I frowned. Something isn't right. Before the trip even started, two girls didn't show up and now again two are missing, and the most weirdest fact, all four of them are the students of California Girls.

Before I could continue putting the pieces together, I felt something tickling my neck, I'm jerked and took a step away. I turned sideways to see Ryan with a leaf which he immediately threw when he noticed my gaze.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked in a bit amused.

"Oo, I just wanted to invite to join us in the bonfire," he said scratching his neck.

"You could have just asked like a normal human being, and bonfire? Let's go!" I said grabbing his hand.

"Woah, there. You could have just normally held my hand, no need to use bonfire as an excuse you know," he said smirking.

I turned around, "Seriously?"

"Yep. You love me,"

"Haha sure!"

"Good girls fall for bad boys!" he stated smugly.

"Dude. Do you even know what bad boy actually means?"

"Uh, what?" he asked curiously.

"Bad boys are the boys who don't bathe regularly," I stated.

"Haha funny," he said with a blank face.

"I'm serious. If don't take bathe you smell bad and if you smell bad, you become a bad boy," I finished my amazing theory.

I marched towards the bonfire leaving him with his mouth agape.

He seemed to manage to pull himself out of the trauma and noticed that I'm way ahead of him, "Oi! Wait I'm coming!"

"Yes, I'm waiting Mr. Bad boy," I teased.

"I - DO NOT CALL ME THAT!" He yelled embarrassed.

RYAN'S POV :

After around ten minutes Julia finally got over the bad boy fever.

We're currently sitting in front of the bonfire. The school's management made one bonfire and made two teams share it. Luckily, we got in the same one along with Aaron and Natasha. The bonfires were build in the center, we were made to sit on a wooden bench for the meantime.

It's almost midnight but Alex made us wait cuz he and Aaron had an important thing to discuss.

"Alex, hurry the heck up! I want to continue reading my book," groaned Renee.

"Fine, impatient humans, here we are!" announced Aaron.

Wait, already? I was expecting atleast two more hours.

"So Alex, you wanna begin?" inquired Aaron.

"Yes, of course!" grinning Alex stepped forward, "So guys we have a theory,"

"Yes, we know," I replied.

"A very interesting one,"

"We know Alex," I replied urging him to continue.

"Like a really really interest—"

"STOP WASTING TIME ALEX!" yelled everyone in unison.

"That's why I prefer food over humans, atleast they listen to me, I was just making a moment of suspense," he mumbled.

"Heard that!" stated everyone.

"Fine, fine!" he took a deep breath and said, "Guys, we're in a fictional world. We're fictional character,"

'.....'

Whaaaat-

Absolute silence.

"Alex! We waited all this time to hear your stupid theory that we're fictional characters?" huffed Julia.

"Its the truth guys! I have proof," he stated.

I gulped. What?

He took a deep breath and began again, "Guys, let's get straight to the point, you," Alex points a finger at me." and Jules are gonna fall in love, then you two! Maria and Dean! You two will fall- wait you're already in love, nevermind," he then turns to Renee and James, "You two are the most clichéd couple so Duh! Hence proved, we're in a fictional world," concluded Alex, with a satisfied grin on his face.

"Alex and Aaron, you two need rest," I stated. Everyone else nodded.

I looked around to find everyone was blushing a little bit. I mean, he is not wrong about the ships but fictional word, Pfft, no.

After a few minutes, everyone declared both of them physco and went to do what they were originally doing except, Katherine and Natasha left to do something.

A few minutes passed and nothing happened so I planned to head to bed till I noticed James taking out a air horn from his bag.

I noticed Julia's gaze on James as well. Our eyes met and we nodded. We quietly sneaked behind James, and tapped his shoulder. He was startled but recovered and said, "Phew, it's you guys!"

"What are you planning to do?" I questioned raising a brow.

"Uhh, just fun?" he replied. "Y'all go and watch the show,"
Julia and I shared unconvinced glances but agreed anyways.

We sat down and noticed James sneak behind Renee, who was peacefully reading her book. He thrusted cotton in his ear. Shaked the air horn three times.

Our eyes widened, Julia and I quickly covered our ears.

He bought the air horn next to her ear and within seconds the peacefulness of the forest was destroyed by the sound of the air horn. Renee got super scared she threw her book in the direction of the bonfire and fell off the rock she was sitting on.

Even if I covered my ears, they were still vibrating. I saw Renee covering her ears with her hands. She was about to yell at him but then she noticed the horror painted over his face while he was looking at the bonfire.

Everyone followed his gaze and saw Renee's book being burned to ashes.

"Uh-uh" mumbled Julia.

I was Renee's eyes fill up with rage and she was about to explode in rage but something interrupted her, but not just something, it was rustling of the nearby bush.

JULIA'S POV :

Gulp.

That was my only reaction to the rustling of the bushes. The rustling increased and then, we saw a moving figure.

All of us leaned in anticipation, to find two monkeys?

Wait, what?

They seemed like a little bit older than newborns. But this doesn't matter right now. What matters is if they are here, how are gonna manage them? What if their mother comes in? What if?

I internally panicked. One of monkeys started moving in the direction of Ryan. Everyone froze in their current position. The monkey leaned in sniffed Ryan's shoes and guess what!

He went five feet away from him!

"What did I say about bad boys smelling bad?" I said laughing but immediately regretted.

The monkey was now looking at me, he was about to come in my direction but he turned in James' direction. He looked right into James eyes, the monkey then kept his paws on James jeans and, the monkey started pulling James pants!

I mean he wasn't strong enough, but seeing him try was hilarious. All of us rolled in laughter.

Then the monkey finally let go of James and he went Maria and Dean's direction, and instead of doing something entertaining, he went and sat on Dean's lap calmly.

I turned my eyes to look at James and Ryan's expression and they were priceless!

BAHAHA SERVERS THEM RIGHT!

Now all the eyes towards the monkey who wasn't doing anything.

The monkey looked at us, and then started moving towards Alex.

I swear to God, Was he waiting to get all the attention?

Alex leaned down to the monkey's level kept the chips of packet in his hand on the floor. He opened his arms for the monkey to jump in.

The monkey came closer to Alex and slapped him.

SLAPPED ALEX RIGHT IN THE FACE.

Before Alex could interpret what just happened, the monkey gave him a cute smile and ran away taking Alex's chips.

Oops-

Wrong move. Never touch Alex's food.

He started chasing the monkey. They both destroyed everything that came in their way, the monkey also showed us his flexibility by jumping on James and Dean's heads.

Yep, all in all a chaos.

Before we could stop any of them, the other monkey also planned on joining them and he went on the mission of destroying our tents.

We tried stopping them but we failed, when we were about to lose all hope. All of us except Alex were tired but God was with us.

"Oh my lord. What is happening here!?" gasped Natasha. Katherine was too shocked to even make a comment.

"Actually..." Maria began but Katherine cut them off.

"Omg! These monkeys are so cute!" she cooed.

"I highly doubt that-" I said.

She opened her arms and both of them stopped their chaos and reached close to her and hugged her!

Now everything was in control, Katherine took them a bit in the interior part of the jungle.

We cleaned up everything and after everything was done we looked at each other and laughed.

This was definitely an eventful day.

We're about to say goodbye when we heard someone say, "Ahem, ahem, unlike you guys we have to sleep,"

We turned around to find over fifty students all sleepy and annoyed.
