Hey my lovelies.

This chapter is more like a filler chapter and is by far not my best work. Hopefully you'll still like it.

----------

Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.

Shortly after Sahir has calmed down a bit, Sia and Sahir locate themselves on the couch in their room. Sahir leans back his head drained out of energy while Sia gazes his worn out face. Her hand flies up to his soft black hair and she tenderly caresses it which Sahir responds to by closing his eyes. Knocks on the door snaps Sia out of her trans.

Sia opens the door which reveals a agonized Mrs. Khan and Sia offers her a small rather uncertain smile. For the moment she is not sure of how to act around her mother-in-law, it pains her to know that this woman hurt Sahir. Sahir sits down straight as the two ladies approaches him. Sia smiles at a tired Sahir and squeezes his hand reassuringly before walking out of the room to give them a bit of privacy. Silence falls upon the room while Mrs. Khan hesitantly sits down beside him.

Sahir looks down on his hands with a throbbing heart not being able to face Mrs. Khan, the woman who involuntarily raised him. In his mind, he was just a burden for her. He can't believe his father willed him, his illegitimate son, all his fortunes. Mrs. Khan gazes Sahir with guilt mixed with affection and places her hand on her sons warm hands. Sahir closes his eyes as he starts to tremble due to the overwhelming emotions flashing through him.

"Sahir, I am sorry for everything." Mrs. Khan whispers her words slicing through the thick tension in the room and Sahir shakes his head. "You're my son and I am your mother. That's a fact no one can change." She goes on and Sahir quickly puts his arms around her while crying as a child in her lap. "I wish I could change the past." She says emotionally as she runs a hand down his hair. "You deserved to be loved back then and deserve to be loved now. The only thing I can do is ask you for your forgiveness, I love you Sahir. You're my child. Please forgive me." Mrs. Khan cries while Sahirs heartbreaking sobs slices her heart.

"You raised me, took care of me, eventually showered me with love and made me who I am today. Mother, I owe you." Sahir says through his whimpers when he finds his voice.

Mrs. Khan starts to vigorously cry. "You call me mother and then say that you owe me? That doesn't add up Sahir. This is what I was afraid of, you pushing me away and I can't live with that." She cries and Sahir shakes his head.

"I am sorry mom, I am sorry. You're my mother and as you said, that's a fact no one can change." He quickly assures her pulling back and wiping away her tears, just as he did when he was younger.

Upon realizing their own states with their noses running both mother and son breaks into soft chuckles. "Gosh, this is so weird." Mrs. Khan states shaking her head and Sahir nods agreeing with a soft smile playing on his lips. "Love you my son." She says placing a hand on Sahirs cheek.

"Love you too mom." He softly responds with his heart at peace.

The rest of the day is spent by lunching together with the whole family and a bit of shopping. Saafa the oblivious buddle of joy and prankster makes Sahir smile while Sia observes them with her soul filling with warmth. They order takeaway for dinner and dines together in the living room while watching Mr. Bean. After some laughter and coziness they all head to their respective rooms. Sia goes to refresh herself after Sahir. When she comes back to the room with Sahir already in the bed, he seem to be lost deep in thoughts staring at the ceiling and Sias heart ponders, is he alright?

She carefully lays behind him and with a palm under her cheek she gazes him while he gazes the white ceiling. Sahir can feel Sias intense gaze on him and in a swift move pulls her to him after encircling his arms around her. Sia gladly snuggle into him with her hand on his torso. "Sia." Sahir verbalizes with warmth.

"Hmm." Sia responds feeling at peace beside him.

"Thank you, for standing by my side." Sahir kisses her forehead and she closes her eyes feeling giddy. "Good night."

"Good night dear." She murmurs and Sahir turns off the light with a soft smile.

Sahir falls asleep within a few minutes which is reasonable, the day has been emotionally exhausting for him. Sia on the other hand can't stop to ponder about Sahir and everything he has been through. She wish she could shield every child from abuse, in any form. Involuntary tears escapes her eyes.

Inaudibly she turns on the table lamp and just gazes at a innocently sleeping Sahir. It now makes sense to her. His shell, attitude, behavior and every trait that makes him Sahir. She plants a small kiss on his forehead before untangling herself from him. Walking to the glass wall she sits down in front of it with her knees pulled to her chest. Leaning sideways to the cold glass, a shiver run downs her spine which soothes her a tiny bit.

Her mind has come to the conclusion that she can't see Sahir in pain and she don't want to live without him. Simply because she loves him. Yes, she loves him. She doesn't know how or when she fell for him but she did. At first she had convinced herself that Sahir has become a habit for her due to the fact that they live together and that was it. However, she can't anymore deny the fact that she feels so much more for him than words can explain.

How they ended up together or what brought them together doesn't bother Sia anymore, as that's in the past. All that she cares about is the fact that the latest events and circumstances in their lives has brought them close. What matters for her right now is her present and future with Sahir, she'll never let him go. That's it. She doesn't need Sahir to love her or confess his feelings for her in words. For her he is her soulmate. She'll do her best to keep the love of her life happy.

Just when she starts to feel restless her phone start to vibrate. She runs to it as quietly and quick as possible, picking her phone up she watches a stirring Sahir. She releases the breath she unconsciously held as he turns in his sleep and doesn't wake up. Glancing the caller ID she smiles and calls back a over excited Sanaya.

"Hi baby!" Sanaya answers at the first ring and Sia can imagine Sanayas brown eyes with specks of green shine up.

Sia chuckles. "Hi darling, how are you?" She sits down on the couch and speaks softly.

"Very bad! You got married and forgot all about me! I mean I understand your husband is taking all your time but seriously not even a phone call?" Sanaya complains and acts mad.

Sia shakes her head. "I am really sorry, I have just been so busy." She sighs feeling guilty.

There's a small pause from the other end. "Sia, what's going on? I can sense that something is wrong? What's bothering you?" Sanaya slowly asks concerned evident in her voice.

Sia closes her eyes and leans back on the couch. "It's just." She bites her lower lip. "I don't know how to be there for Sahir, I feel awful Sanaya. He is just so amazing and I, I just want to see him happy." She confines in her with tears brimming.

"Sia, meet me at the usual ice-cream parlor in half an hour." Sanaya instruct which makes Sia frown, isn't she supposed to be in Manchester?

"You're in London?" Sia asks astonished.

"Yes, I arrived tonight. I was going to come over and surprise you tomorrow but I need to hug you right now!" Sanaya enlightens her and Sia fills with warmth, there's a reason why they are best friends.

Sias car is at her parents place as her brother, Sagar, picked her car up from the car services. She eyes one of Sahirs car keys and hesitantly picks it up in her hand. She opted for his baby, his mat black Audi. With one quick glance of Sahir she strolls down to the parking garage.  Eying the beauty in a form of a car under the spotlight Sia smiles delighted. "Let me see your power boy." She smirks with her dimples peeking.

Sahir stirs and a shiver suddenly runs down his spine making him growl. He pry opens his eyes and frowns upon seeing a empty bed. His phone suddenly vibrates while he sits up straight and answers the call with unknown number. "Hello?" He says with a croaky voice.

"Hi, am I speaking to Mr. Sahir Khan?" A professional voice of a woman is heard and Sahirs forehead creases.

"Yes, who's this?" He replies impatiently.

"My name is Miranda and I am calling from The Royal London Hospital." Sahirs mind immediately wanders to Sia and his heart starts to race. "Your wife Sia Malik Khan has been admitted her after being involved in a car accident." His breathing falters as soon as those words hits him and his whole world comes crashing down in front of him, once again.

With tears in his eyes he bolts up from his bed and runs a hand down his hair. Hastily he looks for his car keys frustrated and grabs the one he finds first. After noting down the information he disconnects the call and rushes to the hospital.

Sahir tries to think straight but can't. He stares at a unconscious and bandaged Sia through the door feeling beaten. A tear escapes the corner of his eye while he feel powerless.

Sia, please wake up and recover. You are the only light in my life that I really consider my own. You give me hope and make me dream of a bright future, with you. You are the one who makes me feel things I never thought was possible. Please be alright, if not for you than for your selfish husband. The purpose to my life has become you.

Besides small cuts and bruises, Sia has major injuries in the form of two fractures. Which are located in her right arm and left leg. The man who drove in front of her had pushed the breaks harshly as a dog stepped out in the middle of the road from nowhere, which caused Sia to drive of the road and into a tree due to either panic or an attempt to avoid the cars to collide with each other.

A poke on his shoulder breaks him from his thoughts. "There's the man who brought your wife." The ginger nurse smiles at him and he nods thankfully.

The man in a black shirt is talking to the doctor with his back towards Sahir. Sahir approaches them to thank the man as he had rushed her to the hospital. When Sahir reaches them the doctor is already walking away and the man turns around with a soft smile. Sahir frowns seeing Sameer and can't believe it is him standing in front of him. "Hey." Sameer softly says with his shining brown eyes and without giving it another thought Sahirs hard fist connects with Sameers jaw.

Sameer stumbles back dazed and holds his jaw as he can taste blood in his mouth while Sahir shakes his hurting hand. "Crap." Sahir mutters under his rage filled breath.

"What's wrong with you?" Sameer stares at Sahir with wide eyes stunned.

"That's for all the mess in the past and for you being a bad omen! Whenever you're around something goes wrong!" Sahir shouts at him which Sameer rolls his eyes to.

"You should be thanking me! I am the one who brought Sia here!" Sameer tries but Sahir cuts him off in rage.

"Mind your tongue!" Sahir point at him warningly. "She is Sia for me and Mrs. Sahir Khan for you." Sahir tells him sharply.

Sameer stares at him with wide eyes and then starts to laugh throwing his hands on his knees. Sahir clenches his jaw tightly and is ready to throw another punch at Sameer.

Sameers laughs turns to sift chuckles and he finally stares at Sahir with amusement. "Why do you hate me so much?" He questions after a moment and Sahir looks away. "I consider Sia my friend. That's all and you have nothing to worry about." Sameer continues softly. "She loves only you, it can be seen in her eyes and actions." Sahirs eyes darts up to meet Sameers smiling gaze. "The only reason for my clinginess is because she needed some friendly company when you used to act like a jerk." A pang of guilt washes over Sahir while he stares at Sameer perplexed. "Yes Sahir, I had noticed the tension between you two and also your possessiveness." Sameer smirks at the last word. "A piece of advice, don't push away or act superior with a girl who is ready to give you her everything or the girl who you'll have a hard time breathing without." Sameers winks at a dumbfounded Sahir with a warm smile.

With that Sameer turns around and walks away while Sahir just stares speechless at Sameers retreating figure. Sia loves him? He can't breathe without Sia? The ginger nurse walks up to him again. "You're wife has regained conscious and you can meet her." She smiles and Sahir rushes to his wife after thanking her.

Sahir opens the door and smiles towards her with a blurry vision. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He questions after kissing her forehead and meeting her warm tired gaze.

Sia gives a half hearted smile almost at the verge of crying remembering the accident after having met Sanaya.  "I am ok." She replies absentminded and bites her lip.

Sia tries to move but a sharp pain bolts up her leg and she involuntarily grimaces which Sahir notices, shouldn't she have been given analgesic? Sahir was about to call the nurse when Sia assured him that she is fine and that the drugs need some time to kick in.

Sahir gulps down a lump seeing Sia in the state she is in. "Sia, what were you thinking? I can't believe you." Sahir is cut off by Sia before he can finish.

"I know, I am sorry." Sia says feeling bad and a tear slips out of her eye. "I didn't mean to crush your baby and I couldn't think straight." Sahir frowns at her incoherent talk. "Trying to avoid one collide I ended up with another. I am so sorry Sahir, it was an accident." She continues while more tears rolls down her cheeks.

"What are you talking about?" Sahirs forehead creases with doubt.

"Your car, it is crushed. Please, don't be mad." Sia whispers ashamed and Sahirs eyes widens.

"You think I am worried or angry over a damn car?" He questions her baffled with his voice ragging at the end.

Sia nods. "It was your baby." She shrugs sadly.

"Sia!" Sahir growls running a hand down his face. "I was worried sick for you!" His voice thunders. "The car didn't even reach my mind once! Sia, your health and you mean everything to me! You're my first priority! Do I need to write that down for you?" Sahir blurts out while scolding and Sia smiles seeing him worked up for her.

She shakes her head. "No." She whispers before she signals Sahir to come forward with her hand and leaning in he moves his head to her. "Thank you." She softly utters and places a small kiss on his cheek surprising Sahir.

The next few weeks passes by in a blur for both Sia and Sahir. Sia had to stay back in the hospital for two weeks and Sahir always came to check on her. It ended up in him shifting his workplace to the hospital room. As the fashion show cum charity event was due soon they both worked together. Sahir always placed himself beside Sia on her uncomfortable hospital bed which made it hard for a distracted Sia to focus her attention on work as her heart kept doing somersaults.  Nevertheless, she loved him close to her.

After getting discharged he kept taking care of her. He did everything from feeding her, combing her hair, carry her and even dress her, mind you he did his best with closed eyes or by looking away. Sia could not stop smiling seeing his cute awkward behavior when he helped her change.

"Yes! Finally done." Sia sighs having ordered the final remaining device for the show, they're at last done with all the planning and booking.

Sia leans back her head on the board of the bed while watching Sahir. "Just let me check everything one last time." Sahir smiles and shifts the laptop from her lap to his.

Sia checks her dear husband out, he is wearing beige khakis with a white shirt. He has folded up his sleeves to his elbows which is making him even more attractive. Sahir is deeply focused on his laptop and his forehead is creased. Sia can't believe the event is due soon and how fun it will be, she is actually looking forward to it but at the same time is a bit nervous. Her eyes are resting on her left leg and she frowns.

"Sahir." She verbalizes bothered which Sahir just murmurs to. "Sahir I can't be the show stopper!" Sahirs gaze darts up to her. "I can barely walk and have cast around my leg! Not just leg, also arm." She points at her injuries."It will look horrible." Sia cries displeased.

Sahir shakes his head. "Your casts will be removed in two days." He shrugs unaffected and turns to his laptop.

"Sahir, I still won't be able to walk properly." Sia pushes worried, she does not want to ruin the show which he has worked hard for.

"Sia, I have already planned it out. I'll be walking with you. Hand in hand, don't worry I'll be your support." He assures her and she nods still not convinced.

Sahir closes his laptop. "Done?" Sia inquires with a raised eyebrow and he simply nods staring into her honey brown eyes.

Sia smiles at him while he offers her a small smile of his own. Lately he has been pondering over the past a lot and it pains him to know that he forcefully married the beauty in front of him, what was he thinking? His possessiveness and behavior back then was just unreasonable, the past doesn't even make sense to him.

It's so surreal how far they have come and how their equation has changed with time. He just wish he could explain to her how much she means to him today, how much he needs her and how afraid he is to lose her. "Why do you not believe?" Sahir inquires out of the blue and Sia frowns perplexed.

"Pardon me?" She asks unsure of his question.

Sahir just stares at her with his intense gaze making Sias heart beat unevenly. "Why don't you believe in love?" He finally manages to ask while Sia stares at him dumbfounded.

Sia tears her gaze away from him to her hands. "What do you mean?" Sia inquires not meeting his eyes while she nervously plays with her engagement ring on her finger.

Sahir registers her odd behavior and examines her with a slight perplexed frown, Sia can feel his gaze penetrate her skin and looks up to give him a small smile to not seem fishy. "Sia, I clearly remember your parents saying that you were against the idea of getting married. Either it is because you don't believe in love or matrimony." He states anxiously and Sia can hear restlessness in his voice.

She sighs while running a hand down her wavy dark hair. "I do believe in both love and marriage but I have trust issues." She declares with a pacing heart.

"I bet there is a reason behind it." Sahirs curiosity gets the best of him and Sia nods earnestly. "Mind to share?" He inquires with his own heart pacing.

Sia tilts her head and looks ahead with a distant gaze, she contemplates if or what to say. "During my second year of higher studies, I had fallen for a senior student." Sias hesitant words slaps Sahir across the face and he reminds himself to breathe, she had been in love? "He also studied pharmacy and we became friends when we had a common course. Soon enough we started dating." Sia glances at Sahir and seeing Sahirs disgusted expression she shakes her head. "Sahir, with dating I don't mean that we were intimate. We went out as friends and I had fallen for his chivalrousness." Sia adds quickly and Sahir nods with his jaw clenched.

"I am fine, go on." He insists and Sia just stares at him blankly with her heart jumping in her chest.

"Ok, so he had planned a special romantic event for us." She continues hesitant. "He wanted us to take our relationship to the next level and even though I hesitated I stupidly agreed after he convinced me." Sia feels awkward, she is telling her husband about her ex crush but decides to get it out of her system. "I have always wanted my first time to be with the love of my life, and to be honest I imagined that to be my husband. So I started to regret the fact that I gave him my consent." Sahir feels a pang of jealousy and his hands turns to fists. "A week before our date I was looking for him and when I was about to enter the corridor from the auditorium I halted upon hearing my name. He was speaking to his friends. He was telling them how I was ready to take the last step with him." Sia tells dazed by her own memories.

"Oh common, have you seen her? She neither has a hot body or a striking face, she is just average." Sias crush Josh exclaimed disgusted while Sias eyes widened as her heart clenched.

Sias slippery grip on the handle tightened. "Then why are you playing with her?" A girl in his group asked perplexed.

Sia held her breath and wished this all was a joke, how could he discuss her so openly? "To be honest, I am just using her to make Camilla jealous, if she knows that I am intimate with Sia she'll most probably run back to me to give a piece of her mind and I'll make my move to get her back." Sia frowned, what was happening? His words didn't make any sense to her. How could someone fall so low?

"You're so disgusting." The girl retorted the words Sia had in mind. "How can you do that to someone?" She scolded but Josh didn't seem interested in answering her.

"Why Sia? She seem to be a girl with high morals." Another friend of his asked amused.

Sia could sense him shrug. "Camilla has for some reason always been insecure of Sia. What morals are you talking about? She did agree, right?" He questioned back making Sia feel beyond filthy in the process.

Even though it still hurts, Sia will never cry for such a worthless character. "I couldn't believe my ears, I mean he was always so sweet to me. He had become a close friend of mine in a span of a very short time and I never thought he would be such a lowlife. I actually believed that he was my well-wisher. His words hurt and made me insecure of myself. That eventually led to commitment and trust issues." Sahir listens wholeheartedly while Sia has a distant gaze, it irks him beyond words that he didn't meet the lovely soul in front of him earlier. "Honestly, I didn't love him and it was more a crush but I actually believed that he might be the one for me in the long run." Sia chuckles bitterly, even though Sahir feels bad for her a feeling of relief washes over him.

"What did you do afterwards? Don't say you just let him go?" Sahir inquires with a sudden fire in his eyes as a vein in his neck throbs visibly.

Sia shakes her head. "My temperament is very bad and short, anger getting the best of me I stomped over and slapped him hard across the face." Sia seem to hold back a detail.

Sahir would love to torture Josh, personally. "Just that?" Sahir questions with a frown.

Sia shakes her head and shifts her gaze at a wary Sahir hesitantly. "And I kicked him, hard, below the belt." Sia slowly says ashamed biting her lower lip and Sahir bursts out laughing.

Sia turns crimson and looks away shaking her head. "I should have seen that coming,  I am so proud of you wifey." Sahir chuckles and places his arm around her shoulders to hug her sideway, Sia rests her head on his shoulder feeling embarrassed. "What is his name again?" He inquires with a ice cold voice.

Sia looks down on her and Sahirs intervened hands, she smiles. "Josh." She replies with lack of any feeling, memories of Josh doesn't bother her at all anymore as he doesn't mean anything to her.

Sia is just glad that she didn't waste her time on someone who was never meant for her and that she got to know about Josh's intentions before she took a step which he would eventually make her regret.

Sahirs warm harsh breath fans her neck making her giddy. "No, the whole name." He query and Sia tilts her head to be able to look at him.

His dark intense eyes bores into hers and they stare into each other's eyes, both not willing to surrender by tearing away their gazes making fireworks crack in the pit of their stomachs. "Why?" Sia questions with a raspy voice while narrowing her eyes at Sahir who keeps quiet. "If you're planning to ruin him then scrap that plan. This was years ago and I heard that Camilla married him shortly after their graduation. If I am not wrong I have seen a picture of their adorable child on some social media site and I am happy for them." Sia tells him truthfully which makes Sahir respect his wife even more.

Sahir nods. "That doesn't change the fact that I wish I was there to punch the last breath out of him for hurting my Fiona." He says kissing Sias forehead.

Sia snuggles closer to Sahir with a smile, feeling safe in Sahirs warm embrace. "Fiona doesn't mind getting hurt as long as she has her Shrek to mend her heart."
