Chapter 22

Hello guys!

Another update! Sweet. Okay, so to be honest the last couple of chapters has been like adorable and I need to spice it up a bit. The relationship progress is going well or so I think but I have in mind a little more than just that. So if I all of a sudden, meaning in a few chapters, bring some twists and turns in the story don't be surprised :$ Nothing major though so no need to worry :)

By the way! Who do you want to see Sameer Jay as? Ranbir Kapoor or Hussain Asif? Or any other candidate? Thinking of having a poll the next chapter :)

I have always wanted to dedicate my chapters but recent time I can't help but wanting to dedicate it to many more than one that I end up not dedicating it at all! I'll instead be starting to tag a few persons every chapter to thank them, until hopefully I have thanked all of you :) <3

One of my supporters are Deepika_310 who have been a amazing reader and have pushed me to write more. Thank you so much for being so sweet :* This chapter is dedicated to you Deeps! By the way you all should totally check out her stories :) <3

So now, well hopefully enjoy :)

Sahir starts to curse himself seeing his number one rival ogling his wife. He had completely forgotten about Sameer. A clever Sameer completely ignores Sahirs murderous glares and adorns his charming smile on his lips. Handing his wineglass to one of the waiters he walks towards his target. Sia knows how badly Sahir dislikes Sameer and is a bit worried about the encounter, she doesn't want Sahir to get back to his earlier foul behavior. She turns her attention to Sahir while his hand still is resting on her waist. "Sahir, look at me." She demands seeing his gaze throwing daggers at a upcoming Sameer.

Sahir involuntary shifts his gaze to a beautiful Sia and instantly relaxes, a soft curl is kissing her cheek and he automatically envies the curl. Sia bores her eyes into Sahirs dark ones and holds them firmly in hers. "First of all I am your wife and only yours." Sia tells Sahir strictly pointing on his chest, throwing Sahir completely off guard. "Secondly don't create a scene, it will only result in a disaster. Your reputation will be jeopardized." Sia tries to reason with a entranced Sahir. "Got it?" Sia checks with him and Sahir nods with a small smile.

"You're only mine." Sahir smiles and Sia rolls her eyes at his denseness. She really doesn't understand his possessiveness or his odd behavior.

Sahir leans in and kisses Sia on her forehead making her close her eyes with her hands resting on his chest to savor the moment, you never know when he'll turn a shade darker due to his bipolar attitude. She isn't even sure if this is a act to show Sameer or if he genuinely feels something for her. A certain someone interrupts them by clearing his voice. The fierce couple turns their attention to a amused Sameer. "I see that the honeymoon period isn't over yet." He comments and Sia raises an eyebrow while Sahir gazes at him blankly.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" Sia retorts to tease while smiling politely.

Sameer shakes his head with a ghost of a smile. "No, I am good. Too much sugar can lead to diabetes." He says still looking amused. "However, I must say that you're looking as charming as ever." Sameer adds with a smirk and if Sahir could have it his way than Sameer would have been dead by now.

Sia notices Sahirs clenched fist. "Thank you. Well, I need to step up my game while having a handsome husband beside me, don't I?" In a friendly manner Sia tries to make Sameer stop getting on to Sahirs nerves.

Sahir eyes darts to Sia and he stares at her with wide eyes, he can't believe that Sia just supported him by showing Sameer that Sahir matters for her. Sameer opens his mouth to respond but Sahir interrupts. "Sia, I need to introduce you to someone." Sahir says while staring at Sia and Sia nods agreeing.

"Sure, excuse us Sameer." She gives Sameer a hundred volt smile and leaves with Sahir, leaving behind a slightly offended Sameer.

"I can't believe you just." Sahir starts but loses words while trying to formulate himself.

Sia helps him out amused. "Stood up for you?" Sahir nods mesmerized by Sia. "After all you're my husband and that's the least I can do for you hubby." Sia winks and gives him a genuine smile while Sahir eyes her amazed feeling grateful having her beside him.

After mingling with almost every influenced person on the party Sahir and Sia sits down on a decorated round table.

Sahir can sense Sameers stares on Sia and puts his arm around her possessively as if marking his territory. He starts to caress Sias arm without thinking and Sia tries her best to avoid the tingles spreading warmth to her body due to his encircling touch.

A elderly man and lady comes and joins them. "So Sahir, how have you been?" Mr. John, who used to be on the top in the business world, questions Sahir.

Sahir smiles. "Great Mr. John, how are you?" He uses his business tone.

"Well, with a fine lady beside you I am sure you're doing well." Mrs. John smiles towards Sia making Sia blush with a adorable smile.

Sahir nods agreeing. "I can't deny that." He winks towards Sia and she tries to keep her flustered heart at bay. "But she isn't as pretty as you are tough." Sahir says to Mrs. John to tease Sia while Sia plasters a smile.

"Remember when I came to the conclusion that your types are aunties, I wasn't wrong I guess." Sia whispers to Sahir and he turns his head to throw her off guard by being a inch away from her.

His dark eyes are smirking while her honey brown gaze is surprised, his warm minty fresh breath is fanning her. He leans in making Sia hold her breath while her eyes widens, he eyes her plump lips while being half an inch away from them making her heart pulsate in her ears.

Sahir smirks and slightly shifts his head to lean in closer to reach her ear making his stubble prick Sias cheek in the process. "Then in that case I guess you are a aunty." He whispers back to a rigid Sia while tucking away a hair strand of hers behind her ear.

He leans back with a satisfied smile while Sia let go of a breath she was holding. The elderly couple chuckles seeing the two newly wedded. "You both are so adorable, you actually just reminded us of our younger days." Mrs. John says beaming.

Sia goes crimson and tries to remind herself to breathe in and out to compose her throbbing heart. She digs her nails into Sahirs thigh while the elderly couple continues to chitchat.

Sahir grins while taking hold of Sias hand which is trying to hurt him, she tries to jerk it away but his iron grip makes it near impossible. He intervenes their hands instead and turn his gaze to Sia while Sia focuses on Mrs. John in front of her.

Sahir shakes his head with a amused smile he brings their hands to his mouth and plants a kiss on the back of her hand making her eyes dart to him, that's how you catch someone's attention. This time Sahir keeps his gaze fixed on Mr. John.

"So Sahir, I have a business proposal for you." Mr. John claims and Sahir turns alert. "I have heard about your upcoming fashion show where you're going to promote your new international brand and my company would love to be a part of it." Mr. John continues and Sahirs mind keeps calculating. "My offer is to become a share holder of the brand by investing on it." Sia gets attentive by hearing about his offer as she has heard that Mr. Johns company isn't doing well and Sahir doesn't even need a investor, he can invest himself.

Sia gazes at Sahir to be able to read his expression but he isn't giving anything away. "And how can that benefit my company?" Sahir rather questions.

"Well, I think you know that my company has recognition in England and as well outside of England. A collaboration between us would result in a more expanded scope, meaning more attracted consumers." Mr. John says and Sia can smell something fishy, Mr. Johns company was indeed popular but now it is barely recognized.

Mr. Johns speech convinces that it is more for the benefit of his own company than for Sahirs. This deal will give Mr. Johns company free publicity. Sahirs brand will most probably flourish and being share holder, in this case, means easy money for Mr. John while loss of money for Sahir. If Sia is judging correctly this is simply a bad deal.

"Make your personal secretary contact mine to appoint a time for a meeting and we can discuss it then, I am sure we can work something out." Sahir instead declares making Sia gape at him while Mr. John beams, is he out of his mind? This is clearly a loss.

"Sahir, you shouldn't." Sia suddenly exclaims and all eyes turns towards her making her shift uncomfortably in her position.

"Pardon me?" Sahir questions with a blank expression.

"This is clearly a loss." Sia whispers only audible to Sahir.

"Stay out of it Sia, this is business related matter and I can handle it myself." Sahir sternly says making Sia frown, is he kidding her?

She is clearly worried about him and his company. How can he be so rude and blinded by arrogance?

"Excuse me." Sia excuses herself feeling humiliated and walks away from there just to calm herself down.

Muttering some inaudible curses she walks to the second floor, the ballroom is actually really beautiful and the white staircase with golden decoration is enchanting. The second floor is much more cooler and soothing, spotting a balcony Sia locates herself there.

The calming breeze caresses her and she breaths in the air while holding on to the cold railing. "Beautiful." Her eyes snaps open hearing the familiar voice behind her and she grimaces. "Why is a beautiful woman like you avoiding a party where she can be the Queen?" Sameer comes to stand beside her resting his arms on the railing.

Sia adorns a blank expression. "And why is a business man stalking a married woman?" Sia retorts with her gaze fixed on the beautiful backyard.

Sameer chuckles. "I can't help it, the married woman seem to need a friend." Sias eyes darts up to meet him.

She shakes her head. "No I am good." She manages to say and looks away again.

They stand there in silence both lost in their own world while the breeze companies them occasionally. "Why are you here Sameer? Go and enjoy the party." Sia finally breaks the silence.

Sameer gently smiles. "I don't like this kind of parties, they're kind of boring." He enlightens her.

"Then why do you attend them?" Sia inquires with furrowed eyebrows.

"Because I have too. I need to show up to keep my position and associates satisfied." Sameer shrugs and Sia nods understandingly with a sigh.

"Yeah, life and its many forms of compromises." Sia mutters under her breath.

Sameers eyes gleams. "Life is what you make of it. Find the good in the bad and you'll see that you'll feel more fulfilled." Sameer advices with a soft smile playing on his lips and catches Sias eyes.

Sia ponders upon his words, they sound very inspiring. Sahir has been very nice to her and if she dares to think it then he has been very loving, almost caring. Maybe there's something else behind his meeting with Mr. John later? After all he should know better. "Maybe you're right." Sia finally says.

"Not maybe darling. I am right." Sameer winks and Sia chuckles.

Sia takes a good look at Sameer. "You know, you actually seem like a fun person." Sameer straighten his back proudly and bows, Sia looks on amused.

"And you look like my dream girl." Sameer says with a huge grin showing off his set of perfect teeth.

Sia chuckles while her cheeks turns a shade pink. "You're such a flirt." She responds shaking her head.

"Yes I am and you know you love it." He winks again making Sia shake her head at him amused.

"You're impossible." Sia claims.

"No I am very much possible." Sameer jokes and Sia chuckles. "Anyway, at least you're in a good mood now. I am going to get back to the very important, high glamoured and ultra boring party." Sameer says with a smile. "Wanna join?" He inquires with hope.

Sia shakes her head. "No, I am good." She says with a faint smile.

"Sia, are you sure?" She nods to reassure and he sighs. "I wouldn't leave you here but I need to get back to give a speech and mingle with some clients." Sia smiles.

"I don't need your explanation Sameer, thanks for thinking about me but I am fine. I actually would like to be left alone for some time." Sia explains to him and he gets the point.

"See you later than." He softly says and Sia smiles.

"See you and best of luck for your speech." Sia tells him before he leaves.

"Thanks, not that I need it." He says while walking out of the balcony and Sia shakes her head at his confidence amused.

Sia stares at the large moon while resting her arms on the railing. "Beautiful." She mumbles to the night sky.

Someone behind her clears their voice to gain her attention and even though her subconscious mind is telling her that it is the one she wants it to be she dismisses the thought. "What is it now Sameer?" She questions without looking back.

When she is met with dead silence her heart starts to panic and she slowly turns around afraid not knowing what to expect. She relaxes upon seeing Sahir and her hand reaches her chest where her heart is beating rapidly. Fixing her eyes on Sahir she quickly realizes her mistake upon noticing the fire in Sahirs eyes. "I didn't mean." Sahir doesn't let her finish.

"It is Sahir." He says firmly taking a step towards her and involuntary Sia takes a step back making her lower back collide with the cold railing. "Sahir." He utter again taking another step to reduce the gap between them.

Sahir quickly cages her between his arms holding on to the railing while Sia breathes unevenly being so close to him, his smell intoxicating her. She put her hands on his chest in a attempt to put some distance between them. "Sameer had just."

"Sahir." He cuts her off again making her heart skip a beat in the intensity of his voice. "I don't want to hear about Sameer or know about what he was doing here. But don't you ever mistake me for him or him for me. Never." He breathes violently and Sia blinks.

"Sahir can you just back off a bit? You're suffocating me." Sia tells him off as she hasn't the energy to deal with his tantrums.

Sahir drops his hands and takes a step back. Sia brushes past him to be stopped by a certain someone catching her wrist. She is softly yanked back to the railing again and gasps a bit surprised. Sahir cages her again but this time by holding on to her arms and resting his forehead on hers. Sia automatically closes her eyes and they both breathe in sync, feeling each other's pulse.

"I am sorry." Sahir breaks the silence around them. "I didn't mean to offend you or speak harshly. I just didn't want them to realize that I know that this deal will only benefit them and not me." Sias eyes snaps open and she pushes him away from her a bit making him open his eyes too.

"If you know then why would you even considerate?" Sia asks baffled searching for some logic in his dark eyes.

Sahir holds her hypnotizing eyes for a moment before speaking. "Because in the world of business you either get used or let them think that you're getting used." Sia looks at him perplexed while Sahir smiles. "This time I am trying to help them up on their feet again, because I know in the world of business no one looks beyond benefit and he is in need of a helping hand right now. His company has huge debts and is in the verge of shutting down. I rather offer them a helping hand than just to watch them fade away. There are families solely depending on the company for their daily bread and water." Sahir informs Sia who seem to have fallen from the sky.

Sia shakes her head astonished. "But won't that bring a loss to your company?" She inquires perplexed.

Sahir shakes his head and leans on the railing with his elbows. "No, not at all. I usually give more to charity so it shouldn't effect my company. The reason I want a meeting with them is to also discuss their future plans. I can invest in them if they can come up with a decent project to work with. In this way the both companies will benefit in the long run." Sahir enlightens Sia a piece of his mind.

Sia stares at him in surprise. She didn't know that the ruthless business man would be so, dare she say, kind? "But why don't you openly say that you're ready to help them?" Sia questions her mind.

Sahir offers her a faint smile. "As I told you in this industry you either get used or let people believe that you are getting used. If I tell them that I am just helping them then their egos will get in the way. They'll feel offended. The thing with this world is that people want to feel important, feel that they have the upper hand and is superior. They'll be using you and throwing you away when done. That's why most people in the business world likes to stay alone and occupied with work because most people are fake. Arnav is the only close friend I have and who I trust with my life, that's why I have handed him the branch we have in Manchester as I know he will and is capable of taking care of it. My other acquaints and associates are just fun friends." Sahir explains to her, unknown to him her heart is suddenly bleeding for him.

Sia stares at Sahir with her heart skipping several beats while heated blood pumps through her veins. Sahir holds her eyes and smiles. "Shall we?" Sahir nods towards the door while offering Sia his hand.

A spell bounded Sia places her delicate hand, with her wedding band, in Sahirs warm one and walk side by side with him back into the ballroom.

The moment Sia sits down in the car, to finally drive home, she falls asleep due to how exhausted she is. Sahir chuckles seeing her adorable state and caresses her cheek. He simply loves her dimples. The party was nice, even though it was more like a dinner. However, he had fun especially when dancing with Sia. It was formal dance but still. He loves how gracefully she moves and how their body moves in sync.

When reaching their residence he carries her in his arms while Sia in her sleep holds on to his shirt and snuggles in his chest. When laying her down in their bed he removes her heels and tucks her in bed with the cover. She instantly cuddles with the cover and Sahir smiles seeing her, he stares at her in adoration and a smile plays on his lips. Beautiful eyes, small sharp nose, heart shaped face with cutest dimples on her kissable cheeks and luscious lips. Hopefully they'll someday get a daughter as adorable as Sia?

Sahirs eyes widens in realization and he takes a step back. He can't believe that he just thought that. The wall he has built around him is slowly crumbling down and he knows he feels way more for Sia than intended. He can't control his emotions around her and always seem to get carried away.

He's not allowed to dream of love and family. Not that he can't love but he hasn't allowed himself to do that. The blood running in his veins are filled with betrayal, dishonesty and corruption. What if he turns out to be the person he hates? What if he ends up hurting Sia?
