Chapter 7

The group of Fairy Tail mages were on the last leg of their journey. After hearing the end of the Rex Duex, Gajeel had been tense and ansi. Even after Wendys troia wore off, he was more focuses on his anger than letting the motion sickness take over him. "Are you ok Gajeel?" Levy asked quietly as she walked up to him. Gajeel was at the far end of the car, watching the desert fly by in a blur. Gajeel grunted, not looking away from the window.  Levy sighed slightly and sat beside him, pulling out one of her many books. "We should be there in about thirty minutes." She stated quietly before losing herself in her book.  As they got closer, each mage could feel the mass of power seeming to emanate from the desert. Before long, each mage was crowded around the windows, trying to see the tower.

"Shouldn't we be able to see it from here?" Lucy asked with a frown. Levy scanned the horizon, her eyes catching something the others hadn't seen. "We need to jump." She suddenly said, running to grab her bag. "Are you crazy?!" Gray said. "I'm all for it..." Natsu choked out. "There is a high power rune around the area. The train isn't stoppping." The others looked between each other before scurrying for their things. Levy ran for the door at the back of the car, throwing it open and stepping onto the small landing. Thankfully,  theirs was the last car on the train. Levy peered around the side of the car and looked for where the train station should be, and sure enough, she could just make out an invisible rune wall. Taking time to study with Freed was paying off.

The three dragon slayers flew away with their exceeds, Erza simply lept off the back of the car and so did Gray. "Do you trust Juvia?" The rain woman asked as she looked to Lucy and Levy. "Then jump." She said at their nods. The two took deep breaths and jumped, bracing for impact. Water surrounded them, stopping their fall and gently setting them on the ground. The mages regrouped and looked to Levy expectantly. "I don't see a rune wall." Gray said as he looked into the desert. Levy walked forward, mere inches from where the train station should be. She stuck out her hand, her fingers coming in contact with the invisible wall. Blue runes lit up and raced the length of the wall, disappearing into the desert. "How did you see this from the train?" Lucy asked in wonder.

"While we were trying to find the tower, I had seen a bird fly right into the wall. They want absolutely nothing to interfere." Levy explained as she pulled out her light pen. "Iv been running through code and runes inside my head since, and I think iv figured it out." Levy turned to the wall again, studying it as she muttered to herself. "She decoded it... While jumping from a train? !" Gray gaped. Juvia smiled. "She's something, isn't she?" She pointedly nudged Gajeel who grunted, not looking at her. Levy suddenly grinned and her hand began to fly, runes coming to life before her and soon, the blue rune was began to melt away.

A rusted train station was the first thing to appear, it looked as though it had gone decades without use. Next was an old town, the buildings crumbling with age and neglect, as well as the desert weather. On the outskirts of town, the tower loomed high above them, seeming to touch the evening sky. Levy turned to her friends, her face serious. "We have to find Avery and stop the ritual by midnight. We also need to find any other prisoners and, if possible, destroy the tower." She explained. "If the build is like the tower of heaven," Erza said, "The sleeping quarters will be beneath the tower. And despite its massive structure, it will be weakest at its base." She stated.

"Flame brain is pretty good at destruction." Gray said with a grin. "We will all split up." Erza said, ignoring Natsus curses at Gray. Natsu, Gray, Lucy and Wendy will search for the prisoners. Once you have found them and helped them escape you will begin destruction of the tower. Gajeel, Juvia, Levy and myself will search for Avery. She should be at the top of the tower, closest to the moon." She pointed an armored hand to the top of the tower. "Use caution. Dragons Soul will try and stop us for sure." She added. The mages nodded before looking at the tower, the moon peeking at the horizon.

At the entrance of the tower,  Natsus group split and headed for the lower part of the tower. The halls were dark, lit with torches and nothing else. As they traveled deeper, they began to notice smoke filling the hallway, and a burning smell but there was no fire. "Look here brother!" A voice suddenly rang out, a woman's "Visitors sister." A man's voice answer. "Shoe yourselves!" Natsu shouted into the smokey hallway. The woman began to laugh, the smoke in the hallway shifting and clearing as it gathered at the end of the hall. The smoke began to solidify into the shape of a woman, and was soon no longer smoke.

Her skin was lightly tanned, her slim and yet toned. Bright orange eyes peered at her guests as a hand ran through her neon pink hair. On the left side it was short, nearly shaved, and on the right it angled down and just kissed her shoulder. The end of the longest side was dusted blue. "Quiet a mouth on this one." She said with a giggle. A man stepped out of the darkness behind her, wrapping an arm around her waist. He was nearly her twin, sun kissed toned skin and orange eyes. His hair was spikey and blue, the tips dusted neon pink. "Aerith my love, let's get rid of them shall we?" The woman, Aerith, grinned. "Yes Ronan, lets."

{Enter my dark guild babies! So, every dark guild member is an original character that I actually made for my original books. Four are from one book, and one is from her own book. They differ here than how they actually are in their stories. Sorry if this is a little short. Also, meant to mention it a few chapters ago, I totally ship AveryxRouge}
