Chapter One- Celia
I kneaded out the muscles in my neck. My slender pale fingers played with the thick locks of hair and my quiet heart beat kept me realizing I was alive. I knew my entire body was on fire and I could feel my heart speeding up as he walked in.
He didn't look at me, merely walked to the corner and dropped into the stretching positions. I sighed and returned to my conversation with my friend.
"What do you think about the new dance?" She asked as I sighed.
"Oh, um." I floundered for words. "I think its new??"
She laughed. "Caught you."
I huffed and looked at her. "I am sorry, I can't help it."
"Uh huh." She craned her neck. "Who is it this time?"
I grabbed her and turned bright red. "Shh." My face was like a tomato and my ears were burning. A wisp of hair came undone from my low lose bun and I reached for it.
"No!" She cried and grabbed it. She left it be and I sighed again. I sat down and she sat with me. "But seriously who is it?"
"No one." I whispered.
"Uh huh." She nodded, "Sure."
I shot her a look as Emerald sat down next to me. "Hey girly." I smiled and hugged her.
"Hey Celia, hey Stephanie!" She gave us hugs. "How much have I missed?"
"Not much, she was just running through the dance order." Stephanie smiled. "And Celia here was staring off into space."
"I was not!" I giggled.
"Surrrreee." She held her words out. "Uh huh."
I stood and shot them a look. I ran from the room and out to my bag. I slipped on my pointe shoes and over extended. I looked down at my clean line and smiled. I bent over and picked up my Tiara. I gently set it on my head and let my hair down. I pinned a bit of my hair up and back and then I walked back into the room.
"Ooo!" I heard Stephanie and Emerald squeal. The entire room looked at me as I blushed. I could feel his eyes on my person as he took in the tiara and the shoes. He smiled slightly then turned his head back to his friends.
I blushed and walked over to our positions. He walked up to me.
"Hello, my queen." He mocked a bow.
"Hello." I smiled and looked up at him. "How are you?"
"I am good." He nodded. "How about you?"
"I am doing well." I blushed. His eyes stayed fastened to mine for a second then he turned back to Marcus. I looked over and Stephanie caught my eye. She smiled and gave me a thumbs up. I scowled at her and she waved me off.
"Okay, are we ready?" Our ballet teacher looked at the two sides. I nodded and she turned on the music. I watched as my friends all moved. I felt a body behind me and I looked up. Jordan smiled down at me.
He bent. "Do you trust me?"
I nodded, for fear of a voice crack if I spoke. He smiled and as if he knew he was affecting me bent in closer. I trembled and then I heard the change in music. I stepped and jumped away from him. He followed me and I grabbed my prop from him.
He smirked. I blushed and could feel my legs begin to tremble from the strain of my muscles being held for so long.
I continued to move with the song as I felt my blood spike. I could feel the power surging through my veins and the pure hatred surge through my body.
I let my emotions guide me and when the dance ended I crumpled myself into the ending position.
"Beautiful!" Our teacher called out. "Lovely."
I looked up from my knees. She smiled at me. I smiled back. I could feel something behind me. A hand made its way into my vision.
I placed mine in it and was lifted effortlessly off the ground. I spun thinking I would face Emerald, but landed smack against a hard chest. I backed up.
"Oh I am so sorry," I began.
"It's OK, My Queen." A pair of auburn eyes searched mine.
"Thank you." I whispered.
He opened his mouth to say something when I heard Emerald and Stephanie bounce up behind me. "CELIA!"
He looked down at me and then walked away. I sighed and turned to face them. "Yes?"
"I have a question." The began to tug me away from the area. I looked up and caught Jordan's eyes watching me. I smiled and he blushed and turned away.
