Chapter 8- Jordan
"Five years." I looked at the picture of her.
Five years since I held her.
Five years since I kissed her.
Five years since I left her.
My conscious ate at me. She was perfect. She was lovely. She was innocent. She was everything and more. I loved her. I truly did. But I ruined her. I took her lovely person and I bent her. I destroyed her. Her lovely figure shaking beneath me.
The hum of the machine I was in kept me awake. I looked through my phone. Picture after picture. She was beautiful. She was everything I wanted and so much more. Selfies she took when she would steal my phone. Her sticking her tongue out. Her makeupless, something I rarely saw.
I looked through my phone and thought of her. The more I saw her, the more I hurt. I quickly turned off my phone and looked at the man beside me.
"Jordan, what have you been up too?" Daniel pried. The two of us had bonded over photography and I had invited him to a shoot I was doing in the Down Town area.
"Not much. You know the normal. I did go the Italy recently for a shoot. It was beautiful." I sighed.
"Have you seen Celia recently?" Daniel looked at me. I turned to him.
"Um, no I haven't. Have you?" In truth I had not seen her in person for 5 years, but I had been stalking her on Instagram and on SnapChat for a while now.
"Yeah, you know how close Tiff and her are." Daniel raised his camera to his eye and took a picture from the Helicopter. The cascading waterfalls were picture perfect. "She is either constantly on the phone planning our wedding or she's flying Tiffany to meet her around the world." He shrugged and looked at his shots. "I am surprised you haven't done any of her shoots."
"Well you know, I am never in one place for long." I looked at my own camera.
"Well, I heard she is staring in a new movie, I don't know what movie but I do know she's the main female character."
"Oh really." I looked at him.
"Oh and she is in a NIKE shoot soon." Daniel looked out the open door of the Heli.
"She is?" I raked through my mind, I was shooting a NIKE promo. Maybe? No. No. It couldn't be the same.
"Yeah." He nodded. "Is there any hope man? I mean she is single."
"Dude, you know how bad I hurt her." I shook my head. "I doubt she would take me back."
"I think you should reach out to her." Daniel looked through his roll. "You two were very cute, and you clearly cared about each other. And if you don't jump on the chance, someone else will. Trust me. She's a good looking woman, a woman that could snap her fingers and dozens of men would bow to her whims."
"You aren't exactly helping me right now." I laughed coldly. "I don't know. I will have to think about it."
I sighed and turned back to the camera. I looked through my roll and signaled to the pilot that we were ready to leave the area.
"I just really think that you should reach out to her."
"Daniel, I don't think you understand how much I hurt her." I shook my head.
"Well, I think that she is healed and I think that you and her should at least talk."
"Maybe."
Maybe she would take me back. Maybe she would forgive me. Maybe she would come back. Maybe I could ask her out. Maybe...
