Chapter 2- Jordan
"Don't look at her." My brain commanded. "Don't look."
I looked everywhere but at her. Her beautiful face was scrunched in a scowl at her friend, and at my sister. Her bright crimson cheeks made my heart race. The tenderness she showed as she reached for her friend, Stephanie's leg, to begin rolling it out.
Her slender hands worked and her luxurious hair rolled down her back. I knew she was going to be playing the queen this year, but I did not realize that she would look every bit the part of queen. Her icy blues laughed along with her lovely pink lips and pearly white teeth. She was captivating. Her arms were bigger and more filled out than most of the girls that I partnered with and her legs were thick with muscles. Every piece of her was perfectly built and perfectly designed.
I could feel my face flush as she looked up and caught my eyes. I glanced away and began a conversation with my friend, Chase.
"Well, how are you feeling about this year?" He asked as he patted his arms down.
"I guess I am sad that Elizabeth decided to go. But I am excited." I smiled and looked up to catch my sister and Celia laughing. Her head was thrown back and my sister, Emerald was giggling.
"I know." Chase drew my attention back to him. "What about Celia?" He smiled in her direction.
"What about her?" I bristled.
"Oh you know. Shes pretty." He prodded.
"Yeah, I guess." I nodded.
"Oh I get it. She's Emeralds friend therefore she can't be yours." Chase nodded at me. He clapped his hands together. "Well good luck." He poked me.
"Why?" I asked.
"Just turn around." Chase smirked.
I did so, and when I saw her my jaw dropped. Her lovely hair was let loose and had been partially pinned up. Her beautiful feet were in her pointe shoes and she cautiously walked to our instructor. She smiled and laughed.
"Whew, man, if you don't want her, can I have her?" Chase poked my stomach again.
I couldn't form a sentence. She was walking towards me. She was heading right for me.
"Celia!" Emerald swooped her over to where their friends were standing. I sighed. She moved back towards her friends and I turned back to Chase. He was preoccupied with Marcus so I went back to their circle.
After several stolen glances and a few blushes, she finally walked over to our side of the studio. I watched as she strutted over on full pointe. I watched her and then I swallowed. She stopped and turned. I walked over to her. She smiled up at me.
"Hello my queen." I teased.
"Hi." Her face lit up.
"How are you doing?"
"Well." She craned her neck to look at me. "How about you?"
"Good."
"Are you nervous?"
"No, do you trust me?"
She nodded. "Yeah."
I smiled and then our teacher called the counts. We began the dance and I watched her as she let her self go. She was unearthly. She was beauty. She was grace. She was everything I never realized I needed.
When the dance ended I reached out for her. She smiled and took my hand. Then I twirled her and she ran smack into me.
"hello." I smiled.
"Hi-i." She was bright red.
"You okay?" I breathed.
She nodded and I leaned in to say something.
"CELIA!"
My sister's voice cut through our gaze. "I need to go." She mumbled.
I nodded and watched as she was tugged away from me. Her eyes found mine and she held my gaze until she disappeared around the corner.
Chase and Marcus walked up to me.
"Father." Marcus teased.
"Son." I smirked.
"Do you have the hots for mom?" He laughed.
"Why of course, she is your mother." I feigned shock that he didn't know that.
"I think what he's asking is do you thinks she's cute?"
"I-I uhh." I stumbled. Did I? Do I think she's cute? Am I falling for her a little? My little sister's friend. "No."
I turned red. I did like her. I did think she was cute. Why did I just say no? I turned around to leave and I saw a bright faced, wide eyed, horrified Celia. She saw me and straightened out her features. Her entire body language changed and she gave me a look of contempt.
"hey mom." Marcus smiled.
"Hi son." She smiled and brushed past me.
I watched her interact with him. She seemed cool and slightly reserved. I looked at her waiting for her to speak to me.
"Hello Jordan." She turned to me.
"Celia." I tried to looked at her. Her face turned red and she watched me closely.
"Okay guys, lets get moving with this!" Our teacher broke us apart and she walked swiftly to her Throne and sat.
I sighed and went and sat with her. "I am sorry." I whispered. She looked at me with big blue eyes. "I think you are cute."
"Thanks." She smiled. "I think."
