In the dark forest there lurks many dangerous beings as such the Yuki onni {Snow sprite} or Cursed heads, In the forest there's also many beautiful spirits who are harmless. In the forest /you will never know what to expect and Kagome and her friend Shippo travel through the dark woods in the western regions. They wander through feeling many eyes on themselves as they march onwards to a desolate village. 

Kagome pulls out a weathered map of the area, a gift from Kaede to help her if she ever got lost without Inuyasha's help. She had taken the map and she was grateful to the old woman, She scanned through the map and pointed to the woods where they were in 

"Im pretty sure..That this forest is called The RedWood Spirit Forest" Kagome spoke softly to herself but Shippo's keen ears picked up on what she said. He looked up at her and shrugged a lollipop in his hand.

They kept walking as they saw trees taller than mammoths its trunks larger than a Larva Youkai and many crevices could be found. Kagome looked up at the darkening clouds and quickly sought shelter in the trees crevices where she found a crude hollow in the tree. 

"We should be safe from the incoming rain" Shippo yipped happily and smiled but that smile quickly disappeared when he saw his mothers Expression. The Rain Reminded her of something as her gaze was clouded, Pearly tears slipped down her closed eyes.

"M-Momma?' he whispered shaking her and she looked at him with the saddest amber eyes 

"Yes Shippo Dear?" she whispered stroking his fluffy tail

"Y-Your alright Right?' he whispered cuddling into her neck as he felt her nod 

"I am Fine Shippo.." she gave a small smile her tears dried up as she stroked his tail looking out the entrance of the hollow watching as the silvery rain poured out. Its Deafening sound was music to her ears as she slept soundlessly. Shippo wriggled out of her grasp and poked his head out from the hollow gazing at the rain in a daze.

"Groo.." A growl was heard over the deafening droplets

"W-Wha-?" Shippo looked ahead and saw molten gold eyes watching them, It was a white fox it was injured in the leg, scarlet blood dripping from its leg as it watched Shippo.

Multiple tails hung limply as the silver droplets rolled off its pelt in rivulets, It looked at him and yipped softly.

"Kin.." it whispered it limped closer to them "Please...Help me...kin?" it looked at the Miko "A..Girl?' it bared its fangs and tilted its head exhausted. Its voice was raspy as the fox staggered forward. Shippo rushed out into the cold rain and helped the fox towards the hollow with the miko in it and the fox weakly struggled its tails slid along the muddy ground.

"Come on Kagome will help you Ms.Kitsune!" Shippo urged the Fox as she stumbled over her paws letting the small child drag her. She was to tired and as they entered the large hollow Kagome had awoken.

"Oh Dear what happened?"  She rushed to their side her hands already holding a jar filled with a herb paste. She carried the Kitsune's to the middle of the hollow away from the rain and layed down a large fluffy blanket to lay the injured Fox. She dried the fox as much as she could and looked at the clawed leg. The foxes Golden Eyes gazed at her painfully.

"Miko..Why would you help a demon like me?" it rasped Gazing at her amber eyes. Kagome paused and continued to smooth the herb paste over the leg

"Maybe..Its because you haven't tried to kill us..Or maybe it's because I can feel how painful that mark is..I cant just leave a demon to defend itself when it's this injured.." she whispered as she wrapped clean white bandages around the white Kitsune's leg. It looked at her respect shone in its eyes.

Suddenly a soft glow emitted from her as the Kitsune transformed into a beautiful woman

"Thank you miko.." She murmured her silvery locks dipping as she bowed to Kagome. Kagome gazed to the outside "don't mention it" she smiled softly as she wrapped another blanket around herself falling into a deep slumber. The woman gazed at her softly and sighed when she caught a pink glow from her neck. It was 5 Shards of the Shikon jewel and they were in a tiny glass vile tied to her neck.

"So She has some Shikon jewel Fragments?" She mused her golden eyes lingering on them and she shrugged "I don't need them" she muttered as she lifted her gaze to stare at something else. It was shippo the young Kitsune. She transformed back into her Kitsune form and watched the outside of the hollow. The clouds were lightening up to show the bright stars of the world.

Such a day was this for the lost Miko and her Son
